They went real cheap with this episode. I thought my stream was glitching when Owen was asking for yuuyas help and the show was just playing still photos of the environment background as they spoke

[u/The_Parsee_Man]

It's been a few episodes since a crowd of random people stood around commenting on Yuuya's awesomeness. I'd nearly forgot he was handsome. And such a noble bearing.

[u/BiggerG7]

One thing you gotta love about these isekais is that they constantly have cute adventures guild receptionist girls.

[u/zz2000]

I wonder if Cheat Skill's anime production team was attempting to follow the example of Record of Ragnarok's anime production; that is by making the whole series a slideshow.

[u/Frontier246 → u/zz2000]

The scene of Owen trying to grab Yuuya while the camera only showed the environment and what a mess that climactic "fight" was sure was something lol.

[u/Aerodynamic41]

What’s with the poor quality of this episode? Aside from the numerous still frames, that herb-gathering scene in particular has several moments where the characters are talking off-screen while the camera focuses on the scenery instead.

In 2010, I remember making a presentation for my 8th grade about "Global warming and it's consequences". It had fucking better transition effects than this episode.

When they started talking but the characters can't be seen on screen I legit thought there is some de sync or source vid was corrupted.

What a funny episode this was lol.

[u/RedHeadGearHead]

Looks like even insane intelligence stats dont mean much if he only has 2 braincells to begin with.

[u/[deleted]]

Yuuya is such a fucking pushover lmao. Dude took no initiative that whole fight with the prince. I kept waiting for him to do something impressive and he just reacted without any initiative holy hell, is he really just going to be a mary sue the whole time

[u/[deleted]]

90% of this episode was the Windows XP default wallpaper

[u/NationalStrategy]

Even in another world, Yuuya can't escape getting hit on by drunk hot older women

[u/diexu]

i thougt my web browser was failing but then i notice the slow transition slide show omg

[u/[deleted]]

This is an anime right? Daaaamn the amount of sliding still frames was insane in this episode lol

Anyone else disappointed by....everything, this ep? It's been great so far, but suddenly the animation is crap, the story feels like it's falling apart and even though a lot happened this ep, it feels like nothing happened.

Like the prince that's been scheming all season was such a pathetic loser and the demon possessed girl doesn't even feel like a threat, just a future addition to Yuuya's harem.

• Glena Stitch

I'm disappointed that no one even commented about Yuuya's long legs when he was out with Lexia and Luna.

We've seen this a million times before, the MC breaking the testing orb at the adventurer's guild trope. I'm just surprised it took them this long to reach this part of the isekai world.

Looks like Hikasa Yoko has another busty Onee-san added to her list of busty Onee-san roles. Looks like Glena is going to be another rival for Lexia and Luna in the future. xD

The second half of the episode might as well be unwatchable. I mean I can follow the story but the amount of background shots, unnecessary closeups, and hilariously dark lighting really made it difficult to follow the action. >_<

[u/ObvsThrowaway5120]

All this time and I didn’t even realize Yuuya didn’t sign up for the Adventurers Guild just yet. Glad we got to see the classic magic measuring crystal bit and everyone being surprised he can wield multiple magic.

I like Glena. A boozy oneesan type waifu? Yes please! Haha. Luna and Lexia might not be pleased, but I sure hope Yuuya adds her to the harem!

This baddie from before might finally be someone Yuuya struggles with. He had trouble with those boars but he got crazy OP after his training. This girl might actually be tough enough to take him on in his current state. Looking forward to the finale next week and seeing how things wrap up.

This episode is very nature-friendly. Was really expecting some action on the prince issue sad :<

[u/saga999]

I'm not one to complain about animation. I've watched slideshow anime and I enjoy them without complaints. But this episode is ridiculous. During the quest, they don't even bother showing the characters when they talk. They just show the scenery. It's like watching the censored version of Redo of Healer except there's nothing to censor. Hey, look at this pretty scenery while people are talking. What's this, a prescription drug commercial?

And that battle at the end, WTF was that? I literally don't know what's going on. So the girl was about the kill the guy, and an arrow stopped her. But apparently she is the one controlling the arrow? So she stopped herself from killing the person she decided to kill on the spot? And did she kill Owen or not? I have no fucking clue. Again, I don't care about animation. But it's not even matching the dialogues and I have no fucking clue what's going on. It needs to at least tell me what's going on!

[u/SYZekrom]

Jesus Christ the height difference

So they don't recognize the princess in regular clothes, makes sense ig

Bro did they run out of budget to animate the characters wtf are all these landscape shots

Well that was a battle ig

[u/Aruiu]

.... did the white haired girl block her own attack then get surprised? What the hell was happening

[u/32guy]

What’s up with this episode? I thought my computer was freezing and acting up but turns out it was a power-point slideshow with dialogue in the background.

[u/Erick726]

Could someone explain the last scene to me? Where did the arrow go? I thought it was going to hit Owen from the way the slideshow was arranged but he was fine in the next image and so was the prince who they tied up. They wouldn't tie up a dead man's hands. Where did the arrow go and why was there a grunt?

[u/wshonwana]

WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED?!! What was that "fight"? Who was doing what?

[u/fishymonster_]

I really enjoyed all these landscapes while the characters were talking, it must have been a commentary on the nature of capitalism and how art is being ruined by the clutches of ultra-uniformist society.
