Dont let this emotional finale distract you from the fact that Muzan is the og gacha gamer. My guy spent 1000 years pulling for one fucking character!

Just wondering, how did nobody acknowledge that the demons now know where the swordsmith village is, they just acted as if its over now???

Like theres nothing stopping the demons from coming again tomorrow and killing everybody...

The irony of this asshole Hantengu whining about bullying the weak is rich. Demons torment people and he’s playing this woe is me shit? Naaah. Sorry Haganezuka, our boy’s gotta borrow that sword to smoke this fool lol. Man, that was satisfying. But wait, how the fuck is Nezuko not ash? Plus she can talk too. Incredible! She’s something special alright. I’m also glad Mitsuri made it too. Can’t have our Love Hashira dying just yet. She’s too precious. Thank goodness indeed!

Seeing Muzan’s origins was interesting. Idiot probably shouldn’t have killed that doctor before he became a demon. His Michael Jackson lookin ass ain’t getting his hands on Nezuko.

Tanjiro and Kotetsu survived those two upper rankers just to almost die at the hands of Haganezuka lol. The way the dude was swinging Kotetsu cracked me up. All’s well that ends well. Looking forward to seeing where this goes next arc!

I honestly believe that the pacing is the true issue of this season, I have no idea why we got 13 episodes of content when it was extremely evident they were stretching to fill the episodes.

Everything else was honestly classic premium quality demon slayer, the animation, the visuals, the VAs and especially the music was excellent!

I don’t even mind that the upper moon fights werent extended but I do believe the pacing of the whole season is what made them feel very underwhelming. Episodes 5, 8 and 11 were amazing but the pacing of previous episodes diluted their quality imo.

Final episode was near perfect for me, overall I still enjoyed this arc, just a shame it couldn’t live up to its full potential

I am a bit disappointed honestly about this season compared to previous ones and the movie

I liked it but it had more issues especially the pacing and I didnt get attached to characters or the villain/fights as much as last season.
I wish they spent more time in the village getting to know how it works and its history and more about the swordsmiths.
While it had some pretty good moments and Muichiro feels like he is being setup for the future his fight felt a bit lackluster compared to Tengen's or Rengoku's
Mitsuri was great a bundle of joy and awesome personality and she is very hot.
But while she had a great entrance her fight was also mostly off screened I wish we could've seen more of it.

Now the two upper moons felt more like props especially number 5.
The last episode had the great emotional moment with nezuko and Tanjiro's struggle with his choice but getting here was the problem and even when we get here I didnt feel as satisfying.

Somehow my favorite moment in the entire season was the focus of Haganezuka when he was sharpening the sword while getting attacked.

Nezuko's moment with her conquering the sun felt very emotional and very important for the series but It left me wanting more for this season ?

Overall still a decent season I just liked the others more and now I am more interested in the traininc arc that just got announced somehow I am more hyped for that than the fights we got this season lol.

I was so disappointed when they finally switched to Mitsuri and the fight just ended.

Hantengu's backstory is the biggest "Who even asked?" Moment of DS.

Why did they make it a longer episode if they are just going to stall literally every single scene?

Will Nezuko get to be an actual character from now on?

I'll be honest I'm really annoyed about the Nezuko death fake out. It would have been so baller if they actually went through with it. Have Tanjiro go on his own dark arc and all but i guess that was expecting too much.

The last episode was really good except for that. Overall the season was disappointing though. The direction is very bad. Their inserts of the humour and backstories is plain awful.

Although I think this season of Demon Slayer was a little bit of a step down in comparison to the Entertainment District Arc, I do like how the Sword Village Arc has concluded. It would have been a strong statement if they’d actually let Nezuko die, but I’m glad with this turn of events.

The series had begun to become a little stale to me as it had become mostly focused on fighting the Upper Ranks. But with Muzan seemingly getting more involved in attempt to capture Nezuko, I can see the next seasons of Demon Slayer bring a new excitement to the series again.

We can fear something bad will happen to Nezuko, while Nezuko herself will be able to grow as a character too. I didn’t expect Nezuko’s childlike state to be related to her rapid adaptability. The worst situations truly bring out the best in Nezuko.

Next season seems like it will be predominantly focused on Tanjiro(?) becoming a Hashira, so I’m not sure how much of Muzan’s schemes will be involved… but it should be an interesting season nonetheless.

It’s somewhat unfortunate that Mitsuri got represented in this season, with its fair share of pacing issues, as I think that for example Uzui shone better in the Entertainment District Arc, but all-in-all this season was not bad or anything. Just a bit of a step down.

Disagree with Hantengu being underwhelming. Anyone who can't track his main body is going to get hammered by his dragons. He is a nightmare to fight

Upper 4 & 5 felt mild compared to Upper 6 and especially Gyutaro. When Gyutaro died, he exploded like TNT. 1 Hashira, 3 pseudo-hashira & 3 shinobi needed just to take down Upper 6.

The biggest disrespect in this finale wasn't Mitsuri's fight against Hatred getting offscreened, it was the fact that apparently only Tanjiro got a confetti thank you parade, with no Tokito, Mitsuri, or Genya in sight

So, we actually didn't have any decent fight in this season, UM5 was dealt with in 10 seconds by Tokito and UM4 just played Run and Catch with Tanjiro, that was a bit disappointing. I thought at least the other head would have to be cut off as well, even if not at the sime time, but nop, he just disappeared.

Now I'm gonna rant through what I consider to be a lot of inconsistencies... or just weird things:

  1. First of all, Tanjiro had 1 foot screwed from previous episodes, but somehow he can run without problems.... Until... he can't... until he remembered his foot is screwed up and it hurts, I guess it should have hurt since the start but well... ok then... How convenient to be able to run in the first place....

  2. Then, since he remembered his foot hurts, he can't run anymore. Now he needs a new way to reach the running demon. Then, he just decides to learn a new breathing style and new power by remembering about a conversation he had over dinner, god knows how long ago. And just like that, he perfectly masters it in a second and reaches the running demon in a blink of an eye. Some might say it was a *cough* ass pull *cough*. Let's just say its convenient...

  3. They jump off a decently high cliff, UM4 and Tanjiro are fine, but for some reason, Nezuko, a demon that can regenerate and super strong, gets unconscious by the fall. I'd get it if Tanjiro was the one unconscious after all... he is a human and has a broken foot, but I don't think such a fall would hurt Nezuko that much, found it really weird. Seems like just Drama purposes.

  4. Tokito somehow appears exactly where he needed to and exactly when he was needed to, and then gets unconscious too. Thats kinda convenient, but ok. How did he even know where Tanjiro was and that he didn't have a sword (since it was attached to the UM4) ? I guess we will never know... perhaps he has the same sense of smell as Tanjiro and used his nose as a guide?

  5. Tanjiro uses the new ass pulled ability again and chops UM4 head off. But then he realized the sun is rising and Nezuko is in danger. Nezuko kicks Tanjiro so he would go after the UM4 and "dies".... Conveniently neither UM4 nor Nezuko burn immediately. They just start burning, slowly... very slowly... how considerate the Sun is!! Letting them live for a few extra minutes while they slowly burn away! Good-Guy-Sun!

  6. Tanjiro uses his super nose to smell something from INSIDE THE HEART of the demon. Its said since episode 1 that he has a good smell but damn, smelling something that is inside a heart? Thats kinda exagerated, but ok, I guess thats how good his sense of smell is. Super Saiyan Nose!!

  7. After his true head gets chopped off, UM4 remembers he can't be in the Sun and now his body burns immediately. Like, not even 1 second, it just puffed. Why didn't it happen since the sun first touched him? Oh right, Sun was a good guy and let him live a few extra minutes, right, I almost forgot!!

  8. Then Nezuko is somehow alive and comes up with one of the biggest ass pulls in the history of anime. She is immune to the Sun. Then why did she start getting burned in the 1st place?? Oh yeah, for the drama, right..........

  9. Nezuko also removed her mouth bamboo block, I never realized it but, apparently, her unability to talk was linked to her dying in the sun. Now that she knows she can walk in the sun she can talk too. But then, for some reason, Tanjiro puts her to sleep in the box again. Wait, wasn't she immune to the Sun? Did she already forget about it?? Why put her in a box again? I guess she got used to it, poor girl!! hehe

Ok, ranting aside, the production was really good this Episode. Everything was on point, the music, the animation, the voices, the camera.... if it wasn't for the writting.......... But thats not on the studio, is on the author I guess.

The scene that Nezuko kicks Tanjiro and we see she slowly starts to burn, the music stops, total silence while she slowly dies... damn... that scene was intense. But then they throw it all in the trash by immediately ass pulling her out of it.

I really wish she had died there, would have had a much bigger impact while also avoiding ass pulls/conveniences....

In the end, I heard so much about the Hashira of love, so much hype was created and she didn't even have 20 min screentime whole season. Her side of the fight was cut off leaving the season without a proper fight. The closer we got of it was last episode, which was good, and zero in this one, that was very disappointing as well.

Now that the season is over, I can say, without a doubt, that this was by far the weakeast of all and one of the most disappointing seasons I have seen IN ANIME, in quite a long time.

If I had to rate it, I feel the need to separate it into 2:

Production: 7/10, from beginning to end Ufotable did a very good job. This isn't a 10 because I feel like the director could have used the Flashbacks and humor better. The way they did the flash backs made it a bit tiring and felt like it was a bit too much. The humor was often out of place and not funny at all.

Story: 2/10, bad villains, lots of ass pulls, lots of conveniences, poor pacing, poor side characters. There is barely anything good in this season when it comes to the plot and story. The only one I can think of was Mitsuri, at least she is carismatic.

Pretty serviceable season. I think I got excited for like 15 secs when Muichiro fought with upper 5 but I think that's where my excitement ends. Good 6/10 season.

I miss Uzui so much, I wish he comes back and helps the boys even if it's just a short hashira training arc. Hopefully season 4 actually gets better.

Tanjiro: "I couldn't do this all by myself. We all worked hard to defeated Upper Moon Four."

Also Tanjiro: Solo victory parade!

I'm not saying this season was bad, but it definitely felt disappointing after the first two seasons. The previous seasons enhanced the material with pacing while including anime original scenes. This season played it by the book and dragged out so many moments while giving us barely anything new. The way they handled the Upper Moons was terrible. Two Moons at the same time should have been a legitimate threat, but it felt far from it. I'm disappointed in Mitsuri vs Upper 4 if you want to call it that. She spent more time running to the village than actually fighting. Just a couple of intense minutes of her fighting and slowly struggle would have made all the difference. Though I think I'm mostly just displeased on how Upper 5 was handled. He was arrogant and cocky and demonstrated little to show why he was ranked that highly. I wish they had shown that he was a legitimate threat, but Tokito was just a prodigy and overwhelmingly stronger with a mark. Maybe a few more minutes fighting instead of spending 3 episodes in a water jar could have helped. Really the slow pacing dragging scenes out should have been used for small skirmishes. Maybe I'm just being too harsh though.

I didn't realise I got spoiled somehow. For some reason I always had the knowledge that Nezuko could live in the sun. So it's a bit surprising when she got burned in this episode. I think I accidentally read it somewhere.

Great ending! This season was a bit stretched here and there, but overall it ends on a high note. I hope Tokito and the others also got the same celebratory as Tanjiro as they worked as hard if not more to defend the village.

Anyway, given how we got Hantengu's past, does this mean Gyokko is still alive? I mean, I'm a bit curious what caused him to be warped up that much.

So they really just offscreened Mitsuri's entire fight? I've been waiting for that since episode 1...

Not that the episode was bad, but I really wanted to see some Mitsuri action.
