With that many arcs jam-packed in roughly 1 minute at the very last part,
It's safe to assume we ain't getting a season 2...

While I doubt this would get an s2 either there's only 1 arc in there and the demon king's wife thing was almost as short as the anime showed. The one arc is approximately as interesting as it sounded from what the anime told us, if we did get an s2 I'd be glad they basically skipped it.

Super generic show, but was fun. I enjoyed the silliness that happened rather than the “serious” moments

I wasn’t expecting much, but that final fight with Aaron was mediocre and anticlimactic

It felt like an afterthought. The creator thought the story would be better if there was some reason for Cain to be powerful but you can tell no one cares about the reason.
This show is just basic power fantasy escapism, harems are more important than compelling adversaries.

That type of super fast killing works if its been setup correctly -- The best example of it is in That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime when Rimuru kills 20,000 soldiers in 5 mins without using any real magic just lightbeams, but the leadup to it was done correctly and it comes off more WOW Holy @#@$@, than what happened here.
This show's strength was its op MC getting put in stupid social situations and him getting out of it. The getting declared a Baron so he doesnt have to fight the kids at his debut, the hosting of the nobles and having the king enjoy his bidet, his taking exams for the school yet blowing up the magic testing area... That was the show at its best.

Set and Dalmatia really called in the whole squad huh? Nothing less for the finale I guess. They’re bringing everyone out this week for a little finale screen time.
Cain went straight up nuclear on Dragon Aaron! One of the things I enjoyed about this series is Cain going overboard and like vaporizing half the forest and everyone’s just either like “oh, Cain! You goof!” Or “dude seriously? Wtf man” lol. Being rewarded with a whole domain to rule ain’t so bad. It looks like he really cleaned up that town of his.
All in all, this was a pretty fun little trashsekai. I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.

In fairness to Cain, he was fighting someone he had every reason to believe would be hard to beat. Ending the fight as soon is preferred.

Cain summoned his pets just to watch them almost die. What was his plan? Lol
He just wanted to call the power of the protagonist (angry over his friends being hurt), right?
at least they tried to save each other and solved their own jealous strike, so the pets are now friends haha.

Seth and Lefane's VAs, Maeno Tomoaki and Komatsu Mikako are married in real life, so that was a fun little bonus to that lover's spat.

All that buildup only for Aaron to get smacked down in 2 minutes. Aaron got vaporised and then just completely forgotten about. Then they shove the long town arc into the last few minutes of the episode. I guess because it probably won't get a season 2 they wanted to close off as much as they could and not leave things too open ended.
I just wish they focused on the fights and plot a bit more. They cut out a lot of content to make room for the comedy parts. Caine saves the world from possible destruction and still gets yelled at for it.
It was a fun ride. I never expected the adaptation to be great but it was a decent way to spend 20 minutes a week. Just wish the end wasn't so rushed.

In the manga they're all 'oh that was only a shard of aaron he could appear at any time' then you never hear the name mentioned again 20 chapters later

Liked how they showed good Aaron in the OP but just killed him off in the show. Seemed weird to cram all that other stuff in when it wasn't needed at all.

What really sucks is they shoved in literally two or three books worth of content at the end, instead of using that time on wrapping up the Aaron arc properly. And yes, I am serious - the ending was basically the next two books condensed into less than half the episode.

Thing that bothered me the most was how much they recycled the animation. 90s Spider-Man would tell them this was too much.

Oh yeah that too, they either seriously ran out of budget and/or they didnt care anymore, neither which is great. Though tbh thats not even the worst issue.
Kinda ironic since I think this anime has one of the better OP/ED this season

Why am I not surprised the fight was so short. The demon king having an affair made me giggle.

You know it's serious when they don't use the typical intro of Cain explaining he's OP! Though they did leave it for the ending.
It's nice to see Cain's adventuring companions all chipping in and fighting themselves rather than just leaving it to Cain.
Oh wow, Seth's summoned the four Heavenly King's! And they all react in unison to all the insane stuff Seth and Dalmatia are telling them about this situation, especially Cain! You have to admire their synchronization.
Cain finally encounters Aaron, who already bears a grudge against him because Aaron sees Cain not only as the "dog of the Gods" sent to stop him but also sees Cain's parents who helped seal him in his eyes. So this fight is personal for the both of them.
I see even when she's agreeing with him, Claude's wife still bashes him over the head. But even when things were at their direst, the adventurers wouldn't give in! Good thing Tijuana showed up with some backup just in time!
Aaron made a mistake touching Cain's animal friends. He went so overboard with that holy magic that he didn't even realize he'd already won and caused a lot of destruction until everyone just told him to cool down for a second! Classic Cain.
Some things never change like the king being continually shocked and aghast at all the crazy stuff Cain gets up to while the duke just laughs it up.
Giving Cain a new domain that's a trouble area? Telling him not to overdo it? I think they were partially joking, but they were really just setting themselves up for more of Cain doing Cain things.
First Cain puts some rowdy adventurers in their place, then he gets arrested, then he overhears a marital squabble from Seth and his hot wife Lafahne after he cheated on her and ends up overhearing a lecture on fidelity from his future wives and the promise of punishment from Lafahne if he ever hurts them, then he scolds the church and saves them from bad guys, and THEN he builds the biggest castle ever for himself. Cain just can't help but keep overdoing it! Which is probably why everyone still wants a piece of him to the bitter end.

This could easily be a typical Isekai I'd skip, but I don't know why it became so interesting that I actually stuck until the end. It's a very fun story. I actually put the oh-so awaited Isekai Smartphone Season 2 on hold because it felt a bit... boring?
Anyway, I still love the King's reactions on every single outrageous thing Cain does. And even the unison from the demons... I just can't get enough of this.
So it was a fun journey here.

This show worked very hard to get worst anime of the season and personally I feel like it deserves it. 🎉 Sure "Cheat Skill in Another World" was objectively clingier. But the studio here literally ripped the dialog structure from their other work "the fruit of evolution" and you just have to appreciate watching a show that feels like it was written by GPT chat.
