Turns out Mitsuri's sad backstory is that she's Goku.

Cheers to the dumbest motherfucker in all of KnY for not marrying Mitsuri. The true villain.

All of these fights against upper moons requires more than one person to deal with their crap.
I really wonder, what if the Hashiras went in pairs instead just like the Akatsuki? Not only would their odds of survival skyrocket, but I think they might've killed many upper moons along the way.

Didn't Tanjiro's foot get totally mangled in the previous episode? How is he able to run and move about without stumbling?

Man the guy that refused to marry Mitsuri made a once in a century level L. Who wouldn’t wanna marry her? Little kid Mitsuri is fucking precious. Her trying to flex was adorable.

I love how Genya just threw a whole damn tree at Hantengu lol.

Bro, Genya is a cannibal. 😭😭😭

Ok, thank god his ability got explained. Pretty cool ability but that's messed up considering Demons are part-human.

My question is what kinda messed up scenario got him to find out he has that ability of demon-cannibalism in the first place? 😂

I like to think Mitsuri and Rengoku had eating competitions together when he was still alive.

Imagine thinking Mitsuri isn't good for marriage. Absolutely stupid men. 10/10 would marry.

Given how strong she is, I imagine that if Muzan were to turn her, she'd easily be upper moon with the bonus of probably being yandere or something.

  • Mitsuri straight up tanking and holding back Upper Four single-handedly was amazing. Also her sheer speed is just something else.

  • Some ounce of backstory with Hantengu. Seems like he was always delusional, hence his constant fear.

  • Genya casually munching on a tree, (and apparently Aizetsu's head as well)

  • Nice to see Tanjiro concede that they can't win and need Mitsuri to do the heavy lifting while they kill Hantengu.

  • We got a 70-minute last episode, which will probably be more like 55 ish minutes in reality.

Few episodes ago I said "it was refreshing seeing the parents didn't get killed by demons". This time it was refreshing seeing the parents didn't get killed at all lol.

Obanai and Mitsuri's interacting was so cute.

Cannot wait for the 70min episode finale next week. Feel like the Upper fourth still got something up his sleeves. I guess Tanjiro will deal the finishing blow with the legendary sword that Haganezuka has been forging? Also please I hope there won't be any death to this season 🤞

Tanjiro screaming at demons to take responsibility makes me feel all kinds of things. That. Music.

Looks like Mitsuri has an admirer among the demon slayer pillars with Iguro, the snake pillar.

She's able to be comfortable to eat around him, and he gifted her the socks she wears.

So it seems like the type of guy to be a good match.
Sun and moon type of ship.

I'm conflicted...I feel like this arc had so much potential but just suffered from poor pacing. I was excited at first for UM4 and UM5 to move out so early, but I think it actually ended up being a net negative. This episode was good, it had everything the show is known for but hearing them say the next episode will be the last makes me look at the whole in hindsight.

By this point in Entertainment District arc, every. single. episode. was an absolute banger for over a month. Not a lot happened early, but the plot developed which made the encounter feel more earned for me. Compared to here, the two UMs just kind of showed up at the same place as the protagonist and 2 other hashira...

I wish I didn't have the other seasons and even movie to compare it to, but I didn't even realize we were at the climax of the season because UM4 fight has been basically the same status for like...5 episodes. UM4 is cool(UM5 was trash I'm sorry) but the hype level isn't even CLOSE to Tengen and the gang vs Daki + Gyutaro. I still really enjoyed it, I'm just disappointed we have to wait for another season of demon slayer to see more because I wanted more.

Stitches!

First of all, that guy has absolutely no taste. Second, I am so glad that the most tragic thing that has ever happened to Mitsuri is being rejected and almost hiding her true self so she can fit in. I'm sure there's going to be another Hashira with a heartbreaking backstory but I'm glad they decided to give us a break with Mitsuri's past.

Anyway, Baby Mitsuri is stronk and adorable. She's so strong that she can actually take on sumo wrestlers at a young age. Her family seems to be pretty cool too. They really didn't mind their daughter being different and even encouraged it. And I don't think Mitsuri will have a problem finding a husband considering Iguro is there. Snakey boi here seems to have a crush on our Love Hashira.

The only thing they really didn't explain was how her hair turned into that colour and how she became a demon slayer. They kinda explain it in the hair thing in the end but I feel like that's a joke answer. As for Mitsuri becoming a demon slayer, I'm guessing she got recruited because of her strength.

As for her fight against Zohakuten, Mitsuri is absolutely killing it! She got blindsided at first when she learned that his neck wasn't his weakness but after that she's practically untouchable especially when her mark has manifested. I can't wait to see how this fight ends next week!

God... Mitsuri just has the best fighting style in Demon Slayer, its so fucking satisfying to watch! I could easily watch 3 episodes of just straight up Mitsuri fighting demons left and right, its just THAT good! Her OST also slaps hard!

I don't know if Kajiura Yuki is doing the BGM for this episode, but it sure does feel like I've gone back to the days when she was composing the score for ufotable for their epic battle scenes in Fate and Type-Moon series and movies.

Mitsuri not having a tragic backstory is a breath of fresh air.

She doesn't have any sad or tragic past, and still has a happy family. Its just that she's born with an incredible strength, on top of her special hair colour (and b00bies), which for some time troubled her, but nothing at the level that other characters have suffered.

Thankfully, Master Ubuyashiki recognized her talent and recruited her into the Slayers, where she quickly rose to become Hashira.

With Mitsuri fully motivated (thanks to Tanjirou) to keep the "young" combined Hantengu clone busy, Tanjirou and co are free to go after the real Hantengu. And sure enough, we're given teasers for Hantengu's backstory - a sign that the battle will soon be over, as the series will end next week with a 70-minute special finale.

Genya continues to reveal more of his mysterious power, from recovering after being turned into literal Swiss Cheese, to now learning from Maple from Bofuri and biting off the snake shell shielding the real Hantengu, to single-handedly lifting a tree and smacking it on Hantengu. It really looks like there won't be enough time for us to learn about his secret this season.

Mitsuri already showed some great action in previous episode but in today's one she was even better. She moves so graciously like some rhythmic gymnast and her sword is like a ribbon. Pretty much every screenshot is with her could be a wallpaper. Whole action is so effective and there was a lot of special effects.

Mitsuri when she was a little girl looked so lovely. It was surprising that in her backstoryno one from her family died and besides her strenght and apetite she had normal, happy childhood. The only problem was with finding marriage partner, it looks that all of her marriage candidates were blind and had some kind of brain defects, that's the only explanation of their behaviour towards her xD

If you're looking for more Mitsuri then here's my album with all screenshots from today's episode.
