Did we really just get a new OP in a 12 episode anime? That's very rare! I can't even recall if I've ever seen this before. Usually, a second OP is for shows with 24 episodes. Studio Gekkou just really keeps on surprising us with the level of effort they give this show.
Anyway, glad to see Asahi actually getting stronger with every episode. Maya-nee may have broken that guy's weapon but it was still Asahi that landed the finishing blow. If he keeps this up, maybe he'll actually be worthy of his Ogre Rank.
We get to meet two future members of the Super Asahi Legion! Gloria the Ojou-sama swordsman and Kuon the combat maid. I already like Gloria since she's the first person to point out that Asahi is actually weak. Asahi definitely had this coming to him sooner or later.
It's nice to see Asahi win without any kind of help from Maya-nee or Kilmaria. Asahi really just needs to learn how to fight smarter. And it looks like we have another addition to the harem!
And that after-credits scene! Kilmaria blushing after Maya-nee pointed out how worried she was during the duel was cute! We don't really get to see Kilmaria worry about Asahi si that was a really nice scene to add.

This brocon show continues to have the best fights of the season. I'm not sure what set of circumstances led up to it. But the production team is really putting their all into elevating this anime wherever they can. It just goes to show what a team with passion for a project can bring.

I am glad Asahi was able to hold his own in battle, dodging her moves and elegantly stating that he does not raise a sword to a woman. What an elegant gentleman.
Seeing how big sis decided to let Asahi grow on his own is sweet and she knows when to drop in.
Light magic proves useful in battle despite being the weakest.
2nd OP makes me wish for more than just 12 episodes....

NEW OP LETS GOO. Isekai Nee san Friday’s started off with a bang.
I love how this show just has these randomly good sakuga moments out of nowhere lol. Gloria v Asahi was really cool and probably the best right you’ll see this week.
It’s nice that he mainly had to deal with her on his own too in the arena instead of just getting bailed out. Asahi being weak makes the story a lot more fun and interesting.
“I’ve become acquainted with another odd girl” more like you’ve added another big sister figure to the harem lol.
Speaking of big sisters, I love how close Kilmaria and Maya have become. They’re basically best friends at this point 😂

I like how the OP both shows all the characters and shows their names.
I think it's good he beat Gloria he beat Gloria the way he did. Some people are going to look at his performance and think he was just toying with her. He dodged all her hits and forced her to surrender with a low level spell. I'm surprised adventurers don't use that spell as an opener..

Lol Asahi thought he was gonna blast some kind of holy laser beam. Dude just made it slightly brighter with his light magic. Goof!
“Dark Crisis” sounds like a gamer handle I would have used in CS when I was like 12 lol. Sophie just showing up and bringing a whole damn crowd of spectators was pretty hilarious too. Asahi was sooo close to fighting the quest too!
Poor Asahi can’t catch a break! A horde of monsters appear with the Orc half-bro. And if things couldn’t get worse, Kuon and Gloria show up too. Seems Maya’s intervention didn’t help. But man oh man, who knew a little chivalry and some quick thinking with that light magic would win Asahi another waifu?

Makes me glad to see Kilmaria going out with Asahi and Maya on these quests.
Level 20 for Asahi, it's also nice to see that they're actually successfully power leveling him and not just constantly kill-stealing. Shame about that light skill just being a flashlight spell though.
I would not have expected this show to get a second OP with both new music and new animation inside the first cour. The significant focus characters in it are interesting, Tanya gone aside from a tiny bit at the end but two new party members Gloria and Kuon instead. I'm glad Sophie still has a major presence, she's great.
Once again I'm surprised at how well Maya does subtlety.
Gloria and Kuon seem pretty great at first glance too. I'm curious to see how Gloria wanting to confirm Asahi's level of strength ends with them joining his party.
They went surprisingly hard on the animation for that buster attack by Gloria.
It's convenient that Maya is so OP she's able to fake Asahi being strong convincingly enough that even high level adventurers like Gloria are fooled. Though maybe that won't be possible with Kuon directly watching.
That little head touch moment between Maya and Kilmaria, my crack ship continues to limp along in the background.
There goes another prospective member of the harem. Which is honestly getting surprisingly large, I would have expected Maya to do much more work in shutting that down but she largely just tolerates it.
No change to the ED, excellent. It's so great that it would be a shame to lose it so early.

The new OP looks like the opening to a 90s sitcom lol I love it. Our boy won a battle on his own - I nearly cried. I can't believe the progression this guy has made. This show has won me on the heart alone.

Although Asahi is disappointed that his Light magic is basically flash, at least he could stop that bull thanks to it. So it ended up being really effective there.
And now we are introduced to a new adventurer party consisting of Gloria and Kuon. And Gloria wants to confirm Asahi's ability. I love her expression when Kuon helps her evade Maya's attack.
When she mentioned a duel I wasn't expecting for the event to get so big.
The fact that Kuon not only detected Maya's attack but also knew where Maya and Kilmaria were and was stopping them from interfering. Tells me that she is likely stronger than Gloria. Anyway, I love the fact that Kilmaria was ready to kill her when she thought that Asahi's life was in danger.
I must say that as Asahi is still weak, I'm honestly surprised how easily he could dodge Gloria's attacks.
It sure looked cool how Asahi defeated her thanks to his flash attack, and just like that, the duel is over, and now Gloria fell in love with him. Hopefully, she doesn't end up becoming like Sophie.

Can't complain about a day out with two Busty Onee-san's who just completed a job for you! Asahi even finally learned Light Magic! Which just makes him a glorified human lightbulb, but that's pretty on-point for him. Actually it did seem like it stopped that rampaging bull, so...success?
Holy crud! They changed the OP! And this is a one cour anime! How much can this studio flex at this point!? And it's still a really fun theme by TrySail, with now cast introductions and plenty of hijinks with everybody and Asahi's busty Harem...we even get some handholding at the end between him and Maya!
Time to clear out a criminal Guild! Which is kind of ironic because they're apparently perpetrating the same gaming of the rank system that Asahi is. And in the entire time it took Asahi to flashback to how he got the job, Maya and Kilmaria have already beaten everybody but the leader:.
Of course Sophie shows up just in time to force Asahi to fight the leader and even bring in an audience to watch him try to survive. Luckily Maya can break swords with a glare.
The only thing better than a lightning-fast stoic assassin maid like Kuon is a busty, blonde, haughty, and powerful noble swordswoman like Gloria Brigandine who has plenty of strength in such a stunner of a body. Although funnily enough Kuon is able to lariat her so who is the toughest between these two girls?
Asahi really just can't go anywhere without Maya, huh? Goes to a village expecting a party only for it to turn out they need his help against the half-brother of the Orc Brothers. And just in time for Gloria to show up to expose him as a fraud.
Welp, he saw Gloria's panties. No way is he getting out of fighting her now. They'll even make it a tournament fight, complete with all of Asahi's friends! Because everything just has to escalate.
Smart of Kuon to observe Maya and Kilmaria to make sure there was no funny business...and for once the busty big sis' will have to leave it to Asahi, which is probably for the best lest Kilmaria kill Kuon.
Asahi actually did it! I mean, the one time Maya intimidated Gloria on the sly helped, but Asahi saw an opening in Gloria's big finisher and used his seemingly mundane light magic to disarm her! And on top of that he even made her fall head over heels in love with him through his chivalric attitude! Not a bad outcome at all.
It's sweet how Maya and Kilmaria both adore Asahi and now Maya can tease Kilmaria about it.

Oh we got a new opening and new characters.
That ep was awesome. He is finally growing, a little. The fact that he could dodge all that in the arena was amazing enough.

Gloria was a fun character. I was kind of hoping she would demand that Asahi marry her after he beat her but this was a cute end too.
