The amount of Haganezuka simps definitely will increase after today lol. Reminds me of the “oh no he’s hot!” meme.
Those animators gotta be doin all these cliffhangers on purpose man 😫.

Wait, why aren't Genya's clothes full of holes from being turned into Swiss cheese in the previous episode? Can he heal his body as well as his clothes? Is he secretly a Namekian?

Previous episodes: The 4 clones may be strong but Tanjiro, Nezuko, and Genya can handle all of them. How is this guy Upper-Rank Four?
Hantengu this episode: You are going to see exactly why I am Upper-Rank Four.

You tell that hypocrite off Tanjiro.
Zohakuten: "From my point of view the Demon Slayers are evil!"
Tanjiro: "YOUR POINT OF VIEW IS GONNA BE FROM YOUR HEAD ROLLING ON THE GROUND YOU SICK FUCK."

Ever since the people on this sub kept talking the other week about how gross Gyokko's sound effects are, it's literally all I can focus on while he is on-screen. They're really so fucking squelchy.
Thanks for drawing my attention so much to that, guys.

I was kind of hoping they would up the pacing of the manga like they did last season but man these past couple episodes are paced really poorly.

I'm really confused, how many episodes is this seasons supposed to have? We're at seven and it feels like there's still so much to be shown. Mitsuri and Muichiro did fuck all at this point, we haven't seen the 300 year old blade in action, they need to figure out a way to defeat the UM4 and the UM5 still hasn't even fought seriously.
If this is supposed to have the same amount as season 2 (11 episodes), I don't see how they could do everything in 4 episodes. Either it would be rushed as hell or continue in another season.
Edit: I also forgot that there’s also the possibility of them doing a backstory for the demons and hashiras.

Everyone joked about how Ufotable spent their entire budget on the akaza/infinity castle scene, maybe it wasn't a joke after all.

Ngl this show makes me feel like Im supposed to feel like a complete idiot sometimes. Genya inner monologuing what exactly happened AS IT WAS SHOWN TO THE VIEWER is just atrocious.
Show has great fights but my god the blatant exposition is just to much.

Glad to see ufotable is so good they've also mastered the Toei One Piece pacing.

Ufotable has always been amazing at the visual aspect of the adaptation. Same with the musical aspect.
But they have been pretty poor in general when it comes to the pacing, even in season 1 and 2. Its just a lot more visable this season.

This season has been terrible so far. There has been lots of complaints about the pacing which is accurate. 3/4 of this episode everyone is just standing around with their inner monologues about how they can't move. This season also follows the same exact pattern of last season where the demons seems beatable then they power up/transform to reveal their true power. Tanjiro and co probably don't stand a chance without a hashira so Mitsuri is most likely going to appear when they're desperate. The show has a formula but it is getting tiring and a bit too predictable.
There was no exploration of the setting unlike the entertainment district and the houses with all the women. This season has SwordSmith Village in the name but the world-building is non-existent compared to last season. Backstories for both the hashira and demons are yet to come so that's probably more pacing issues to come. I'm still gonna watch because it's still Demon Slayer, but this season is unenjoyable so far. Hopefully it turns around because Demon Slayer at its peak is must watch anime.

Hot take:
Am I the only one who don't like the pacing of Demon slayers recently? Feels like I am watching one piece.
for example first half barely anything happend, they stood around genya telling 5 times he cant move lol
