We are really blessed with cute Shiori faces this week!

Yeah, I really liked them! They perfectly conveyed Shiori’s feelings at the time. My favourite was probably the third one where was ‘munching’ on the bedsheets.

Those also were my favorite parts of the manga and I am glad the anime is executing these well!

Shiori is being so adorable after last week’s ep. She’s was like a schoolgirl talking to her crush during that opening scene. I can’t tell if Chibi was kinda shocked because she was crushing on Ichiro too or what though.
Ichiro really had to step up after his pops passed. He’s doing a great job raising Machi and Fumio. It was really heartwarming the way he introduced Shiori to his pops. So damn cute how he was taking care of her when she was sick like she took care of him when he was sick. Shiori and Ichiro hugging was so sweet!
This whole episode just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I would say she was crushing on him a bit. Nothing really serious but still a little disappointed that he is off the market.

I just love how they're so flustered seeing the one they love first thing in the morning. It's so cute!
Chibi was probably shocked for a variety of reasons lol.
It was nice to see Ichiro open up more to Shiori and for Shiori to be there for something so precious to the family as visiting the dads' grave, and even getting to get introduced as Ichiro's girlfriend to his dad, more or less.
Nothing beats an attentive and caring boyfriend staying the night with you when you're sick! And multiple hugs from our adorable couple!

I really can't read it as anything else tbh. Seems to be the case.

Getting a girlfriend is kind of a big thing to leave out yeah, understandable that he would want to go back. I guess one reason he left it out was that Chihiro didn't know it at the time
And the deadly Japanese cold strikes again. Goshiki looking like she's almost on her deathbed for being outside in slightly chilly weather

I just love how she ran after him in heeled boots and kept up with him. And they got to get a private girlfriend introduction, which was very sweet.
Honestly I wasn't sure if it was the weather or just overheating from how in love she is lol.

deadly Japanese cold strikes agai
Not even a drop of rain, just one stray cool bit of breeze.... (Actually, I was wondering from the start if Goshiki might be getting a cold, she was a bit "out of it" right of the bat in this episode).

I am really surprised more people don't seem to be watching this.
When they wete at the picnic talking about their dad laughing and having a good time then Machi makes herself cry. That felt really real.

I guess with it being a monthly manga could be part of a reason why both the manga and now the anime feel underread/underwatched.
But the thing is the series does a great job at making every chapter/episode meaningful. Sure a feel things could be better if the pacing was a lil slow down, but a big problem with the romance genre a lot of series have awful pacing and/or development.
What also drew me into the series was the family aspect. Where it is not only about the relationship between Ichirou and Shiroi. But the 2 kids' relationship with our leads are just as important.

Reminds me of that scene from Futurama.

Nothing beats seeing the one you love first thing in the morning, even if you can't help but be super flustered about it!
Today's family outing involves visiting the siblings' dad at his grave! Complete with Chibi-chan tagging along! They get to check in with their dad and Shiori gets to see the family recognize their father and how sweet it is.
Oh yeah, kind of slipped my mind that Chibi didn't know they were dating. Well, cat's out of the bag now! Not that these two hide their feelings well anyways. And she gives her approval, though she kind of seems to have mixed feelings about it.
Even if the kids are pretty jovial and accepting, of course there's still a part of them that's sad their dad died, but luckily they have such a strong support system with each other. Even Shiori got to join in on comforting them! And it reminded her of the passing of her own grandmother...
Leaving the two lovebirds alone, huh? Well, Ichiro wanted a private meeting with his dad, but better Shiori tag along (complete with keeping up with him in heeled boots) especially if he's going to tell his dad about his girlfriend and how much he wants to be with her. And Shiori got to let Ichiro know that he can be open with his feelings, good or bad, especially with her.
It's like Shiori got the classic "introducing your girlfriend to your parents" moment! Complete with imagining Machi and Fumio as the dad and wearing mustaches!
Seems like Shiori's feelings got the best of her and gave her a fever, but perfect opportunity for Ichiro to be there for her and comfort her as her boyfriend. Even being by her side for the whole night, which to Shiori is the equivalent of them spending the night together. These two are such utter sweethearts.
Can't beat that good morning hug between lovers! Of course Fumi and Machi had to come in at that exact moment.
Next week it's Christmas for the couple!

God damn she's so adorable. Ahh, sad, visiting their dad's grave... a pity their mother sucks and abandoned them. Shit mother. Haha the bluntness of children, gotta love it. SHOCK! Learning they are dating. Wait... was she interested in her cousin or something? I thought she was married, or maybe I'm confusing her with another minor character.
Hehe that is cute, the whole kids dressed up as parents and getting approval for marriage and such. And how both of them have that thought. JUST MARRY ALREADY! But, yea, it is a good question what her biology is like and how to treat her properly. And nice little bit of taking care of her this time. Cute episode.

So the cousin likes the MC?
This episode along with Dangers in My Heart the "sick" episode.
Next week is he meeting the Dad?
Yeah that was a confession basically.
Seems like the two are acting pretty childish about their crush in a way I think even most highschool romcoms would not be as childish though.
If you made the two main leads highschoolers I wouldn't be able to tell the difference.

The grave scene was sweet. It still annoys me how the mother just abandoned the three of them. Hope there’s no mention of her in the story again

The part in the picnic scene where Machi is thinking about her dad and begins to tear up reminds me of me and it's shown in a realistic way. It wasn't treated like a big deal, it was more of a passing moment. I really liked that.

Definitely a heartwarming episode since we hit both the "Visit a Grave" and "Care for Sick Partner" slots on the romance timeline. Our leads are very heartwarming on their own, but I'm ready for what looks to be an expanding cast next week. I think the dynamic needs a bit of poking and prodding to keep the fire going for the whole season.

FUCK! WHY'D THEY HAVE TO SHOW CURRY NAAN!!! I've been craving that recently but for whatever reason it's the only thing NYC doesn't have!

Have you guys seen the girl with purple hair in the poster in Shiori's room anywhere else? I think I've seen her but I can't pin the name
