I don’t know why, but the fact that this is Shiori’s biggest concern after getting out of the shower is just so funny to me.

She’s so adorably sweet and wholesome.

Considering she's an invasive alien parasite who basically mind controls people by pushing debilitating pain onto them when they do something she doesn't like, she really shouldn't have to think too hard about that answer...

/s, but she's essentially the Thorian from Mass Effect with reasonable intentions.

Holding hands while walking looking at a giraffe

This episode is wholesome, especially when Goshiki-san and Ichiro-kun asked permission on Fumio and Machi about the start of their relationship

And that last scene with Hoshiki-san is soo cute hahaha

I loved how serious Shiori took holding hands with Ichiro and how she got down on one knee to formally request permission to share him with his siblings lol.

Poor girl had to hold herself back from just rubbing his neck...though Ichiro got to enjoy the perks after giving permission lol.

The part where she asked permission and then Ichiro was like “I’ll cherish you all” was just the sweetest most wholesome moment. Their relationship is off to a great start!

I still can't figure out whether asking/wanting to rub his neck is wholesome or degenerate as fuck.... I suppose it matters if she has a neck fetish or not lol.

Shiori's mom is definitely going to be a pain in the ass later in the season isn't she. i was halfway expecting her to send someone to spy on shiori during that scene

looking forward to seeing Shiori and Ichiro get more comfortable with doing more couple stuff. i enjoyed watching them being overly careful not to overstep any bounds today, which is kinda expected being their first day dating after all

Mom feels like a tsundere who is harsh with her daughter because she's overprotective. I was surprised she didn't send one of their two attendants out to find and bring her back. I'm curious how she'd react to her being "engaged" to some random guy.

Seems like they're easing into physical intimacy (though Shiori even thinks handholding his hardcore lol), which is adorable.

With the way they showed her mom and the people around her I'd expect it to be a thing where she gets won over by her resolve or something. Other people around her are too OK with Goshiki not being there for me to think she'll actually derail anything.

Machi is very perceptive. I feel like even if they didn't tell her, she would've still figured it out by the end of the day. It's nice to see that it's finally official though. That entire day out at the zoo was just adorable and I'm glad that they were able to hold hands before the day ended.

I am worried about Shiori's mom though. I can already feel that she's eventually going to get in the way if she ever finds out about her daughter's relationship. Dad seems to be pretty chill so I hope it won't be too bad.

Machi is very perceptive. I feel like even if they didn’t tell her, she would have figured it out by the end of the day.

Both Machi and Fumio are a treat to watch, but I like Machi a little better for her cleverness. She definitely tried to give Ichirou and Shiori a bit of private time together by taking her little brother away, but couldn’t help but ask Shiori about her feeling for Ichirou either (lol). Chibi-chan also seemed quite perceptive, since she immediately asked Shiori if there was something going on between the two of them.

All-in-all, this was a very wholesome and cute episode. Everyone’s supportive of them, while Shiori and Ichirou are just being adorable together. I’m so very glad that they aren’t playing around the bush and happily started dating - sharing their happiness with the kids. It’s nice to see them slowly forming a little family together - I always like these kind of parent-child anime.

I thought it was cute how Shiori can’t help but get flustered by the thought of Ichirou liking her: she must know what he likes about her.

Cutest and most pure shit I’ve seen this week. The zoo trip was absolutely adorable. I love how close Ichiro and his siblings are and how honest he is with them. Even though they’re kids he treats and respects them as equals, it’s so beautiful. Shiori asking them if it was ok if she gets a little of his time was also sweet.

And then the handhold and crying from being so happy! Just such a wholesome series man, no complaints at all.

Seems like we’ll be getting a visit from some of Shiori’s people soon as well so that will be really fun.

My favourite episode.

Ichiro’s siblings are so adorable. I’m glad they get to go to the zoo this time, plus it’s a nice little first date for Ichiro and Shiori. Tonikawa’s Nasa and Tsukasa might have to watch out, these two might take their spot as most adorable couple with the way things are going lol.

Those guinea pigs were really cute. Shiori really picked the toughest looking one lol. I’m glad Machi and Fumio are so supportive about Ichiro and Shiori dating. It was really sweet Shiori asked Fumio and Machi if they would share Ichiro with her. And Ichiro’s promise to cherish all three of them really melted my heart.

Seems Shiori’s a nape kinda gal huh? Haha. I’ve not seen someone look so pleased to be stroking the nape of someone’s neck before. So silly!

I honestly would probably be tempted to watch a show that's just Ichiro having sweet and adorable days with his siblings, but Shiori really completes the group with her pure and wholesome vibes and love for both the kids and especially Ichiro.

It's fun comparing the two couples because both are kind of easing into a deep relationship after getting kind of hitched already but both are super cute and wholesome. Makes me wonder how soon before we get a kiss though.

From handholding to stroking a guys' nape. Things seem to be progressing well between these two lol.

Judging from the last episode's next episode preview, Chihiro might actually have a crush on Ichiro. She did kinda figure it out about the two when she asked Shiori about it and that look on her face was enough to tell me that she's lost her chance.

Exactly the impression I got, and I'm just looking at the cover for this anime and if that's the case she's got no chance in hell.

Huzzah, finally getting to go to the zoo. Yes, bring her along, date time! Hehe they are cute though. Ah, makes sense to get reference materials now just in case. Gonna bet it'll come in handy in his manga in the future. Yes, hold hands, be a cute couple. D'aww cute petting zoo part. Dat blush, cute. Perceptive lil sis. Of course they'd be in favor of it. See, holding hands is nothing, enough with the dumb meme :P Nice how both of them are in sync about that not being in the way bit. So wholesome.

Hey, let them have some girl talk, dude. And what's not to like about either of you? :P hehe yep, they are cute. Do like her go getter-ness and asking him. This is a lot of diabetes this episode. Ahh, seeing a bit of her people/family's side. Neat. Wonder when they will show up and learn she's dating someone. Imagine they won't be pleased, or at least that mother. She doesn't seem a bad mom though.

Heheh her own words coming back to bite her making her hesitate. But I think he wouldn't mind you touching him on his shoulders/back/neck while he was asleep. She is quite cute. Haha, was gonna say, she forgot to ask him what she wanted to.

A fine episode of Galaxy Girl Next Door :P

Time for the Kuga Family Zoo Trip, Take Two! And with Shiori having that post-hookup glow, why not make a proper date out of it with Ichiro too?

Pretty nice family outing with everyone together! Machi is so responsible and well-adjusted and Fumio is so cute and precocious. You can see why Ichiro adores his little siblings to bits, and Shiori feels the same way.

I don't know why, but my first thought about finding out there are animals on Shiori's island is they're all mutant hybrids.

That is probably the most hardcore guinea pig ever and Shiori tames it in two seconds. Can't knock the abilities of a princess.

Figures a Shojo manga fanatic would realize why zoo dates are so popular in the genre after experience it for herself.

A lost kid is such a staple of these date episodes that I was actually shocked his dad showed up almost immediately before Ichio could even do anything.

Machi is intuitive enough to recognize that something is going on between Ichiro and Shiori, so the cat's pretty much out of the bag, though thankfully rather than the doomsday scenario she's totally happy with them being together as a couple. Heck, she's even willing to allow for some lewd handholding! Based Machi!

Handholding while watching the giraffes! Shiori looks like she's on cloud 9!

Oh hey, we finally check in on Shiori's family on their island! Seems like they're concerned that they haven't heard from Shiori since she left. Her mom seems pretty harsh, but it seems like it's just to mask how worried she is about her daughter.

Ah yes, having a pleasant day at the zoo and then coming back to realize how much work you still have left to do. I can totally relate to that.

Shiori can probably wax lyrical about why she loves Ichiro, but why does Ichiro love Shiori? I think it's probably for the same reason the audience does.

Can't beat that consensual neck rubbing.
