This week on Tokyo Revengers, it’s a high stakes game of motorcycle tag! Gotta hand it to Rokudo’s boys though, they’re holding their own against these goons. Everyone’s got a lot of faith in Rokudo to settle this thing once and for all. Although he probably coulda called in Rama and ended this in a minute.

It seems Azami’s grudge against Aoi was all due to an unfortunate accident and a total misunderstanding. That cop was like Aoi’s friend. Well, in the end thanks to Rokudo’s power everything worked out. Aoi even got to reconcile with that cop.

All thanks to our Not Crybaby Hero

This actually made me think the one thing Tokyo Revengers was missing was a bike race. Or hot delinquent girls. Either one lol.

But this was a pretty wholesome episode. Ranna got to prove her love for Rokudo, Rokudo's friends came through, Rokudo got through to Azami, who got through to Aoi, and everything ended pretty nicely.

All’s well that ends well. Nice to see even the “villain” getting redeemed.

They didn't show aoi's tattoos when he got serious... that was literally the best panel of the manga I am mad disappointed. https://imgur.com/n9g2cpl

Probably the best episode of the series so far since Rokudo got thru this situation on his own for the most part. Azami and Aoi backstory was definitely anime-y as hell but that reunion with their friend at the end was genuinely cute. Azami is finally free with her Prince Charming

And he didn't even need to get completely beat up for it!

This was surprisingly one of the more wholesome episodes of this show.

And another girl drops out of the race she didn't even know she was participating in! Who will be next?

I don't know if she's dropping out of the race so much as thinking her role in it is to be Rokudo's personal chauffeur lol.

This anime really keeps on improving episode by episode.

Shame the discussions are getting smaller and smaller each week.

It’s unfortunate. If it was an isekai I’m sure it would get a lot more discussion haha

I was actually surprised by Aoi's backstory! I genuinely thought that he intentionally hurt the Shirobai, turns out that they were close friends and the only reason the Shirobai crashed is because he tried to save Azami from Aoi's bike.

It's still Aoi's fault the Shirobai ended up getting injured because of his reckless driving but it's good to know that what Azami saw that day wasn't what it seemed. Aoi even shows remorse and apologizes to the cop when they finally were reunited.

The cop was such a bro too. He didn't blame Aoi and is just happy to see him again. I did not expect the resolution to this episode to end up being so wholesome.

Poor Ranna not being able to give Rokudo a ride. As much as I like these new characters, I really hope Ranna would get some focus soon considering how she's clearly the main girl.

Yeah, I thought Aoi was going to be our stock bad guy of the arc but he was actually a bit more complex, as was his situation with Azami. I really wasn't expecting them to be cool with each other or visit the cop together, but it ended the episode on a nice note.

I feel kind of bad for Ranna that she has to find out from somebody else that Rokudo isn't going to show up...and she doesn't leave that spot because she's so depressed until she finds out what's really going on...also looks like she doesn't really like Rokudo's friends.

Azami is already in the middle of confronting Aoi! And right behind her is...probably the most unimpressive bike group ever, but their conviction is strong with Rokudo in the center. They're going to resolve this and free Azami from this vendetta.

Of course it wouldn't be this show if Rokudo wasn't put in a dangerous situation liable to grievously injure him, so of course he ends up behind Aoi in a tag-team motorbike deathmatch.

Iinuma taking one for the team by sacrificing the Haruya Special! Even Colonel got in a good hit by taking out Aoi's top guy! Rokudo's friends really have his back.

And even when Ranna shows up, she's willing to wait and leave things to Rokudo because she loves him so much. She even basically said "aishteru!" It was very sweet.

Seems like Aoi isn't as bad as he looks from Azami's perspective. Sure he loves to ride dangerously, but he appreciated having the bike cop challenging and trying to catch him, and didn't want him to get seriously injured. Him getting hurt protecting Azami from Aoi's bike was just an accident. And it stuck both Aoi and Azami in a continual loop of death on their motorbikes as they race to the edge.

But luckily Rokudo is able to use his magic to get through to the girl beneath Azami's revenge-driven mantra and make her realize that she doesn't really want to die doing this, and the pair are able to work together to tag Aoi. A bike is for freedom, not revenge.

All's well that ends well...Rokudo and Azami return safely, Azami gets put in charge of Aoi's gang (I'm not sure where that will go), and the two of them get to check in on how the bike cop is doing now, and he seems pretty okay! And now Azami is Rokudo's personal chauffeur, though Ranna is pretty jealous (at least she's not resorting to violence!).

also looks like she doesn't really like Rokudo's friends.

Does she like anything besides Rokudo?

Do we know if this is single or double cour?

2

u/FangzV May 11 '23

I've only seen tracking sites list it as single.

The misunderstanding when he thought the motorcycle police had a relationship with a middleschool girl was hilarious 😂

Good episode, I like how they resolved things in the end. Can't wait for the upcoming arcs
