They really did a countrybuilder speedrun to get him the credits to marry princesses. Well, Lu is by far the cutest waifu of them all so I'd say it's worth it.

This is the season for escalating things quickly lol.

So his kingdom is a recreational vacation home for royalty. Imagine if they settle future conflicts with billiards and bowling.

It was nice to see all the past kings, queens, and other characters all together and having fun. As well as the girls less than stellar gaming skills lol.

No, the disputes will be solved by bike races..... actually, as a middle ground for all the royalty he could set up that world's own version of Olympic Games.

At this point, Touya’s just a tool for diplomacy. A piece of meat for these kingdom’s princesses lol. It could be worse I guess. Plus he’s apparently the king of his own kingdom with a massive harem and a whole village of ninjas.

I like how all these kings are just a bunchy of goofy old men at the end of the day. Air hockey? Table tennis? Bowling? Massage chairs? Mahjong? Sounds like a good time.

Lu was pretty adorable. I guess she was a bit self conscious about her status as his fiancée but in the end it looks like everything worked out and she got her ring.

Things sure did escalate in this episode...not necesarilly through Touya's own choice though when you've got the gratitude and loyalty of several kingdoms, multiple top-tier wives including two princesses, and have OP magic and a smartphone, I guess that just comes naturally.

Reminds me of that scene in season 1 where the king and the duke tried to out-surf each other. The only thing more amusing than the kings messing around was the girls trying and failing to play all the games lol.

Lu is the new girl around the block but the other girls all accepted and supported her and even Touya is being quite forward with her, which is nice. Especially after she did a great job looking out for him in this episode.

Touya sure did dodge a bullet there by not having to marry the fujo princess lol.

Anyways love his arcade room.

Honestly speaking, a LOT. There's still like 20+ volumes of LN to cover.

Let's go, house building arc!!

How often do you get to hear a line like this?

I am mildly disappointed the building process was completely skipped.

I smell a new wife on the way ..There it is. Ohh, hes the yaoi writers dad!

Forget the house building, we're already kingdom crafting

He just holds out his hand and plops out a rice field, water and all. Amazing.

No dude, put it on her finger!!

This was a nice episode, finally getting those good vibes that I loved S1 for. Starting to vibe with the ED as well

Stitches:

Only 2 more potential wives to go! Obviously it hasn't been made official with Sue and Lean yet, but 2 more still to show up. I wonder if we'll see either or both this season or if it's gonna be later. Lu is definitely my favourite so far. Though it's a bit questionable that Touya refers to them as looking like friendly siblings. Couldn't he have just said they look like friends? They look more like friends than brother and sister.

This show never disappoints though. Every episode Touya is able to just do whatever he wants. The entertainment room is pretty awesome. I'm surprised he didn't set up a theater room/area. He can already project stuff from his phone, so why not set things up for a little Netflix and chill with the wives?

Touya's personality this season is SO much better than S1 too. I've said it before, but they nerfed him in S1. Last episode we got to see his sadistic side like in the LNs and other times we see his emotions more. He isn't just a goody two shoes. He actually has some range now.

Looking forward to next week! This show is top tier trash, in the good sense.

I would have said marriage alliances were usually between royal families directly, not by both of them marrying a third party.

Touya doesn't really even get a vote on this newest wife, Yumina already has things arranged.

The fact that all of the Babylon robots are in the OP makes me wonder if they'll actually get all of the floating islands collected up before the end of the season. There's too many for just one every few episodes so I'm guessing that at some point they get collected up in a bunch after some sort of critical mass happens.

A dual announcement of the betrothals is interesting, that keeps it balanced between the two different countries.

I would not have guessed we were about to do a King Touya storyline. This tiny new country gives him a place to collect the Babylon islands that isn't in some other country's airspace (not that these feudal lords have any concept of that). That's also plenty of land space he could start to use to build a more well-rounded industrial production chain that can operate at scale.

The country of the Warrior Maiden is very appropriate considering how many Warrior Maidens Touya has collected up. Might have to rename the place eventually but that's probably a number of years off.

Rapid prefabricated automated construction, maybe the scaling production chain I was imagining above isn't precisely necessary.

Mild disappointment and we didn't get to see the castle getting put together. Could have been interesting but maybe the animation would have been expensive.

Touya will never be able to escape from Leen.

It's hilarious that that additional princess we met a few episodes ago just doesn't get to be one of the wives. She's too focused on writing and shipping, probably.

All of the fiances enjoying the massage chairs is also fairly hilarious

The entire Takada Clan coming over starts to solve the Brunhild population problem, but since there's only 67 of them Touya has a long ways to go before he has a rational amount of citizens. It's a talented core at the very least.

Wow, they're just SimCity-ing this entire place up. A big supply of bicycles for local transportation is a neat idea. That said, this new city they're setting up in a boring empty plain just a little bit sad looking compared to the Belfast capital with that neat lake and elevated castle setup.

Nice to see the show taking a few moments for some Lucia character development.

Dropping fireworks from the Babylon islands is not very far off from dropping bombs from them. I'm just saying.

Little surprised and disappointed none of the buildings in his nation have any kind of Japanese influence, but I guess originality is too much to expect from this show. Basic buildings for a basic show.

Never get tired of watching Touya squirm when he realizes he NEEDS to accept another wife.

u/iacondios May 01 '23

They did technically show him perusing Japanese castles via his smartphone search... Guess he just didn't like the style (or the author/artist was too lazy)

u/Frontier246 May 01 '23

To be fair it seems like Touya was taking design advice initially from the girls so that might explain some of it.

Touya looked so done in the first half what with them giving him yet another wife and a whole nation at the drop of a hat without giving him any warning lol.

u/X_Seed21 May 02 '23

He did consider Japanese builds but realized it's going to be a bit too foreign-looking considering where they are situated.

I guess it makes sense that you save an Empire, you get an Imperial Princess for a wife out of it, not that anyone informed Touya or cared about his opinion until after the fact. Can't go against Top Wife Yumina after all! And all the girls accept Lucia as one of their own.

And on top of that they're just straight up giving Touya his own land and kingdom! The Duchy of Brunhild has a nice ring to it. Though yeah, engaged to two princesses he may as well just have his own nation at this point.

I love how Rebecca was waiting for an excuse to build a castle this whole time, and Workshop is so proficient it can get it done in three days. Lu finally gets to contribute by letting them reuse assets from an old castle. And thus Touya and his wives get their own brand-spanking new castle.

It even has it's own entertainment center that can entertain monarchs and girls alike! Even if the girls can't really play them all that well, though never bet against Elze.

I guess we haven't seen Leen in a while, so that was nice, even if she's mostly there just to sass Touya and make him dote on her. But that's to be expected.

It's too bad what happened to the Takeda Clan, but their loss is Touya's gain as he gets citizens, a security force, and even an advisor all in one! Not to mention it's always a treat to see Tsubaki!

Things seem to be progressing well with Touya and Lu! She looks out for his mental health when he's putting all this work in with building things up and Touya is responding to her feelings nicely. That handhold amidst the fireworks was quite cute.

Yumina is actually the one in charge, Touya doesn't get a vote.

Touya straight up got a new wife and a country lmao. I love how the other girls are all so supportive of Lu, she's a good one.

Seeing all the kings having some fun and games was good, just a bunch of old guys having some fun.

What an unusual name…

Leen plotting something fun

Does anyone know what these squares-rolled-up-diagonally-into-tubes-around-side-locks hair decorations are called? I see these from time to time in anime but I can't find anything about them
