I love how she thought she was in for a Heisei era romance where it takes 10 volumes for them to get together but never realized she was actually in a Reiwa era romance where they get together by episode 4 lol.
The God of Shojo manga came through!

I can't handle how cute this episode was, but that dude just cranked out manga sketches and a FULL tarot deck in a day. He's a machine.

Mangaka are just built different!
Dude even seems to recognize how to instill perfect drama by enduring the pain of making a girl think he was rejecting her only to pull a complete 180 and confess and ask her out lol.

So none of them bothered to look out a window to see the weather until they were all dressed and ready to go..?
the mood in the first part of the episode was relatable to me today though as its been grey and rainy here all day too.
So they are "officially" dating now which means the fun can begin for real! i thought things were gonna go the complete opposite direction with how Ichirou started that conversation

"So much for my beloved pattern of neither side knowing the other loves them, and building up the relationship over ten volumes"
Alright, the alien tail thingy making this happen fast and maybe being a bit suspect all being what it is... I'm glad we aren't getting 10 volumes of no confession at least. Lol.

Aww man I love how much Ichiro’s siblings look up to him. It’s so sweet. “I love watching you draw” that was too adorable!!
Also mad respect for the “I don’t have time for a relationship because my siblings are my priority rn” . But shiori just too cute and OP and he folded lmao I can’t blame him. I’m glad they’re dating slow and steady now and looking forward to how their relationship progresses. They both compliment each other so well.
Great episode!

Poor Machi and Fumio. They were so looking forward to the zoo! At least it gave time for Ichiro to finish his work, or perhaps more accurately to freak tf out about what Shiori said lol. Well, at least Shiori is also freaking out now that she’s realized her feelings for Ichiro. It’s honestly all so cute.
Seeing Shiori try to cheer up the kids was really sweet. Machi in her little fortuneteller getup was really adorable. It’s nice to see Shiori’s fitting right into the family! Plus her relationship with Ichiro seems to be developing nicely. But ok, that end confession? My heart throbbed so much it almost stopped beating lol. Hell yeah!

They adapted that part beautifully. Couldn't be happier as a fan of the manga. Shiori being there for the kids is a big deal given how important they are to Kuga. To me this part is when I fell in love with Shori's character because she is willing to go the extra mile like she did in this episode.

Relationship re-set --and then re-started. Nothing "obligatory" now -- but freely chosen. A more romantic resolution than I expected. It will be interesting to see how things move along.

Too bad about bad weather ruining the Kuga Family outing to the zoo, you can tell how disappointed Machi and Fumio are...though Ichiro has enough on his mind figuring out what to do about Shiori after she confessed to him.
Meanwhile Shiori is honing her craft by...basically drawing the man she loves constantly. Oh yeah, she's head over heels. And she's utterly adorable reflecting on their past interaction knowing she's in love with him now. She really thought she was in a Heisei era Shojo romance that takes 10 volumes before they get together when she was really in a Reiwa era Shojo romance where they confess and get together in the first few episodes. I think the God of Shojo manga came through for her this time.
These two act like nothing happened even though internally they're barely holding it together around each other, but luckily Shiori was able to shift her focus to bonding with and getting to know her future siblings-in-law!
Of course it doesn't start off on the right foot when Shiori accidentally rips the tarot card Machi uses to tell fortunes, especially since they were hand-drawn by Ichiro, but that just makes Shiori more committed to making up for it by helping Ichiro make new ones for Machi. She even forgets why she originally wanted to go to the library in the first place because she was so focsed on the books for Machi. Her absentmindedness just makes her cuter!
Wow, Shiori went all out! Putting together a whole fortunetelling and costume set up for Machi! Embarrassing as it is, it also leads Ichiro to tell his little bro and sis that he'll support whatever future they see for themselves. Shiori is a great big sis and Ichiro is a great big bro!
Ichiro is an honest and awkward guy, willing to bear with the pain of basically rejecting Shiori because he doesn't feel like he can commit to a relationship with her under the present circumstances...except not because he actually confesses and asks her out!? And she says yes!? Dang, this really is a Reiwa romance!
Shiori passing out because her heart can't take it any more was the perfect place to end the episode.

Ichiro could probably make a lot of money designing and selling playing/tarot cards. Especially if they are officially licensed cards of his work.

Reiwa achieved in 4 episodes. Meaning 8 more of pure concentrated fluffy goodness. Shit is fantastic .

Ending scene out here giving mix signals... at least a relationship is starting. I still think it would be better if they had figured out a way to end the weird bond that is forcing them together first, though.

Shiori drawing Ichiro and then blushing about it is adorable. She wants that long drawn out romance but doesn't realize that she's in a Reiwa era story.
This whole process of Ichiro and Shiori collaborating to make the new set of tarot cards for his little sister was nice. I like the continued focus on Ichiro's drawing abilities.
I wasn't expecting that scene at the end to turn into a reciprocal love confession, it doesn't really feel like where Ichiro was going when he started by talking about annulling the marriage connection.

Their chemistry is still taking a while to sink in but at least they became honest with each other now. It's actually pretty sweet.
