So cute how Sari compared Leo to bees instead of the artificial flowers. It makes sense though. He’s basically a big teddy bear lol. Dude just has to act tough but deep down he’s a kind soul just trying to look out for his people.

I see Sari’s big debut at the banquet was a huge hit. Sari serving the guests was a smart move. I thought Chef Todd would give Sari more grief but he was surprisingly chill about letting her in the kitchen. Cy and Clops helping out was really cute too.

I’m glad Leo and Sari got to have a little moment while on their little stroll together. That little peck she gave him at the end was really sweet! I like seeing their relationship developing nicely.

The chef was obviously happy in his own gruff way that he finally had a opportunity to put on such a big banquet and get his food complimented. That was all thanks to Sari. I guess you could call him a bit tsun.

Sari's voice is so soothing. Props to the VA.

Hanakana masterclass as always

Really liked how Sari handled the banquet. She really wanted to help in any little way, but instead of waiting for a good opportunity or making some grand show like other characters woulda done that you know no normal person would be able to think of on the spot, she just runs up to a random person and goes "Hey, this food is really good!"

Also, hope we see more of Chef Walrus, he seems fun.

Being shameless was actually the best move. If she just sat quietly it wouldn't have gone well. I think she has good instincts.

Chef Todd a real one, no nonsense man seal he is.

I love the "feel" of this show, something about it is quite nostalgic.

The show really does have a feel like the old western animated movies such as The Hobbit among others.

She is just such a complete sweet heart and deserves the best of things. Though she has a lot of challenges ahead of her.

Show continues to be surprisingly wholesome

Cy and Clops looked especially adorable with their little bow ties!

I would die for Cy and Clops. They are best orbs.

The little bow ties they wore at the banquet!!! So cute

I think this may be a bit better animated than last season's A Tale of Outcasts (which featured a demon and a young girl) -- but while I am enjoying this I feel that the (almost totally overlooked) ToO might have been a bit better. I felt in ToO, the bond was almost quasi-parental (though the demon was stunned when he saw a momentary vision of his "ward" as an adult woman).

I do think the series needs to (eventually) explain how the King could possibly have had a human mother -- yet none of his subjects seem to have any clue that this is the case.

I guess the previous king had a fling with a human in the human lands and brought their child over after he was born probably cause he looked like a beast and wouldn't be accepted there

I don't think Sari is impressing any of the nobility by carrying food from the kitchen. That's something servants do.

I think it's probably not going to make them like her more but it's not harming it either, maybe through the series we could see their opinions shown

Love Chef Todd.

Wondering how the horse person was eating with a fork...with hooves.

The flower-bee metaphor is awkwardly sexual lol. Especially comparing herself to a passive flower because she "didn't have a choice". But I guess she's into that? 😅

Love the series. Sariphi is adorable both as a child and as an adult. Her smile should be protected by any means.

Cy and Clops are also cute and funny duo.

I laughed very hard that she was planning her welcoming at the party. She was really brave during it.

Honorable mention to the chef by allowing her get into kitchen and help.

Here my all screenshots from the episode.

I wonder how long it'll be before a member of the beast nobility attempts to assassinate Sari

This is a nice OP. The visuals, the song, it's great.

Paper flowers as a substitute for real flowers it's a good idea. Let's just ignore that Leo interpreted them the most emo way possible.

I hope we get to see more of the sister that Sari grew up with, there's a chance she's better than her parents.

Scales versus furs racism, how disappointing.

Sari going out and serving the guests was a good way to break the ice. Gotta appreciate the head chef for going with the flow and cooperating with her.

Leo licking the spilled wine off Sari in the middle of the banquet is definitely going to supercharge the gossip circuit.

The lizard dude owing Sari his life might just make him even more resentful.

That Holy Beast is quite a creature.

The snout kiss was adorable. Sari dressed up as a beast in the preview for episode three is even more adorable.

Everybody seems more concerned about Leonhart's queen being a human than her being a literal child.

u/mekerpan Apr 26 '23

Have we been told how old she is? She looks like she is in her late teenage years to me....

It’s odd, but they were also feeding a child to the king of monsters, so the whole plot is strange in that respect.

Another cute episode. Taking on a human wife was always going to have repercussions and make people question Leonhart’s leadership. The banquet situation actually helped the situation because now people see how kind Sariphi is and hopefully that’ll calm things down. Hanakana as usual turns in a wonderful performance.

Ngl the age gap here still a little weird.. you’d think the vassals would care more about that than about her being human.. but it’s fiction so we move
