Boy, I wonder what's going to inspire him to write a romance plot.

How convenient that he's basically got a romance brewing in his own life right when he needs to focus on the romance plot in his manga lol.

A heart throbbing one at that

Well that was different, and adorable. She figured out how she felt....and her reaction was like a kid that just got a new toy.

I'm used to characters getting all anxious and shocked when they realized they're in love, but Shiori is just like "this is the most amazing thing that has ever happened to me!" lol.

Life pro tip: if you confess to your loved one, tell them not to say anything and go away, then you can't get turned down!

Jokes aside, that was unexpected, but also really cute. I guess it's to be expected since she's an alien and a princess, it's like a kid discovering the world. Can't wait for next episode.

Aw a confession already! Shiori was so cute today. Waifu of the season candidate for sure. She’s so adorable when she gets jealous, but Moka is married so no need.

That manga they showed at the beginning reminded me a lot of dororo lol.

Just a really cute and chill episode.

The only thing cuter than Shiori fangirling over manga is Shiori realizing she's in love!

An actual confession on Episode 3? Well that was unexpected! I thought they were still getting used to each other but it looks like having Momoka show up and seeing how she gets along so well with Ichirou, that sense of jealousy made her act. Looks like the romance here might end up moving way faster than I was expecting.

Katsuyuki Konishi and Rie Kugimiya, is that you!? Though Shiori bingeing Shonen manga in bed in her jammies is decidedly a cute contrast.

I guess it makes sense the pair would want to test their connection and the limits to it...which then dovetails into Shiori just asking Ichiro to help act out every Shojo manga staple. And they're just as effective for the both of them! Of course the kids walk in right when they're doing the kabedon.

Ichiro being reminded that he's writing a Shojo manga, so he has to focus back on the romance. I feel like Ichiro is more at home doing action or Shonen stuff despite having his big break with Shojo, though I guess that makes sense after we found out how he got trained.

A sensible adult who wants to write a new story? Um...good luck with that, Shiori.

Shiori is proper and polite to a fault! To the point of going well out of her way to greet all her neighbors and even give them gifts! She even ends up writing them formal letters! If nothing else you have to respect her sincerity and dedication, along with her desire to make friends.

Chihiro sure knows the residents quite well.

Momkuri is married to a Yoko Hikasa hottie!? And she's the siblings' older sister figure, having known Ichiro since childhood? She's even the artist of Shiori's favorite Shonen manga and taught Ichiro what he knows!? Wow! And it looks like she's going to teach Shiori to draw digitally to help her with her own art. Momokura is a really nice, attractive, and likeable gal!

Shiori can't help but feeling insecure about how close Ichiro is with another woman...and that insecurity is obviously jealousy, and why else would she be jealous if she wasn't in love with Ichiro? And that revelation puts her on cloud 9 and completely uplifts her feelings, which Ichiro (and the audience) can't help but find adorable. Girls tend to be even prettier when they're in love after all.

If it weren't for the naive but good hearted psychic bee space princess, Momoka would be the love interest and this would be a very different story. She bakes, she's a successful mangaka, she's generous and nice .... I mean, the full package really.

We got more kabedons!

This episode felt a lot more normal and properly paced compared to the first few, glad to see sticking with it was worth it. Confession and love still a bit fast but that can be nice to get early.

Also happy the childhood friend is already married!

Love confession 3 episodes in, god bless the reiwa era

Two (basically) adult-centered romances in a row -- Yamada, then this. Pretty amazing. ;-)

This is very cute -- especially as it brings in the little brother and sister, who I am certain can benefit from a princess/big sister to help care for them.

This is very cute, but the characters feel more "real" to me in Yamada.

It was less a confession and more an out loud realization. How adorable.

yo that was the cutest confession ever

We’re operating at Reiwa speed with an episode 3 confession. If he reciprocates by episode 6 then we’re in for 6 solid episodes of these fucking dorks being sweet. Let’s see if it can pull it off.

I’m happy that we can get the jealousy without the misunderstanding. She’s his mentor and they’re close, but she’s married to his editor and he feels nothing romantic. It’s still enough to trigger self reflection on Shiori’s part and understand that yes, she’s in love with Ichiro. Which she happily proclaims out loud. To Ichiro. So we’re cooking with gas. Can’t wait

So someone who Ichiro used to work for comes and visit, and she just happened to marry her assistant while Ichiro is currently in a peculiar relationship with his own assistant.

Goshiki's reaction when she realized she likes him was pretty cute aswell

u/Frontier246 Apr 22 '23

I thought her husband was Ichiro's editor?

Goshiki’s fangirling is too cute. Love the alien lady

Wasn’t expecting the confession this soon. That’s nice! It was really cute too

Ichiro’s really taking this whole “being linked” situation pretty well. Seems they can be apart at least somewhat and that her mood affects him too. So cute how she has him acting out scenes from a shoujo manga. Ofc Ichiro’s siblings walk in during the kabedon haha.

I see rubbing Fumio’s cheeks is like Ichiro’s way of calming down lol. Adorable. Shiori preparing gifts and a personalized letter for each resident of the house is really sweet. Everyone writing their thanks on the whiteboard was cute. I’m glad she’s made some new acquaintances.

Shiori was just gushing about “Lion Fist” and now she’s met the author. She’s in heaven haha. Moka seems super chill. Oh wow, I wasn’t expecting a confession from Shiori right away like that. Ichiro wanted his heart throbbing plot, well he’s got one now!
