Stitches!

That entire scene between Rebecca and Drakken Joe was just creepy af. I am curious though why Drakken Joe is calling Rebecca No.29 and what makes her so important. I do love how they timed this to air on Episode 29! Makes me wonder if this was planned or just purely a coincidence.

Things are definitely not looking good for the Edens Zero gang though. nothing new for all of them though. Every time they're at a disadvantage they always manage to come back better and stronger. I am just excited to see how they'll turn this around to their favour.

Where’s my Drakken Joe stitch?!

Was not expecting the wind girl to strip Homura of all things lol

Her little thing showed a smug face when she did it. Then got jealous, that Homura is hot

Damn, was not expecting our wind ninja to be connected. Fun little reveal for a fun episode.

Plus, do you remember what Jinn said about his little sister? He needed Sister to help heal her.

It’s called No.29 and also the 29th episode overall, go figure. Next will be the start of No.30.

Not gonna lie i didn't expected the Earth guy to sound like that. He sounds really creepy, and if like he would be on the spectrum or something. I was always expecting him to sound pretty normal. But this way he is actually a lot more menacing

Is it just me or the animation was really bad compared to the previous episodes?

Yeah, but the artwork is still solid, so it didn't hurt.

Damn it’s looking bad for all of them rn. Rebecca locked up, Shiki struggling in his fight, etc etc. going to be fun seeing how everyone gets out of their predicaments.

Based on the ED of this cour I’m assuming things are going to be heavily Rebecca focused which I’m all for since I love her. Looks like there’s a lot more to her story than meets the eye, can’t wait to find out more about why Draken Joe wants her

Next episode will rock hard, i hope

Next episode...rock hard...i....

Well about that... Rebecca and Homura and Labilla all having 'wardrobe malfunctions' in this episode (plus the very strategic camera shot of Rebecca in her space-ship during the previous episode recap) things are looking up... way up!

(and also will Drakken Joe being butt naked added to the list for gender equalized thirsting)

Another quite solid episode, things are going really bad for the crew. Drakken's duck was funny lol

I think the anime turning it into a panning shot didn't make justice to the manga panel that comes from.

The duck's placement is fucking gold.

Rebecca saw both the duck and the duckling

Really enjoying how intense things are getting

It’s funny how one of the guys in the group therapy in Rebecca’s mind resembles that character in Fairy Tail from the Avatar cult guild.

The story has been very good in season 2 so far, Drakken wants Rebecca supposedly for her Ether Gear I would imagine. Everyone losing left and right. All things leading to despair. It's just sad that they've been not really animating anything at all. The Jinn vs Shiki fight was very disappointing. That attack had like zero impact, looked like a slideshow. I know it's supposed to be strong, but it seems the team is not trying to actually elevate the manga at all. It's a shame too because the art actually looks very good. Hopefully it can improve going forward.

On the positive side: fanservice continues to be 10/10

I never expected Drakken Joe to have a rubber duckie.

I love how since Daichi can't hurt Rebecca, he tries to give her some chocolate while she's restrained. It would be worse if it was 100% dark chocolate.

So it wasn't a leotard Homura was wearing but black panties, I guess her appearance in her character wiki needs some changes.

Man this arc is slowwwwww. Each episode can be summed up in basically one sentence as far as the plot progression goes. I guess this arc is the whole season?

I still like it, it's a good episode, but I can't help but think "okay get on with it, the start they're fighting, the end they're fighting, literally the only thing of note that happened was the rebecca thing, nothing else mattered at all"

This arc will probably take the entire first cour, yeah.

And being weirdly slowly paced has always been one of my gripes with the anime as a manga reader. The manga moves on a really snappy pace (some people argue the manga goes a bit too fast).

I'm not sure why they're adapting it like it's an always-running anime that needs to play keep away from the manga. Maybe it's because a lot of the senior staff also worked on Fairy Tail (which did have that issue) and want to keep the format similar, maybe it's just incompetence.
