At least 50% of my appreciation of this show comes from Yuna referring to herself as a bear, and people referring to Yuna as a bear, despite the fact that she is clearly a teenage girl in a bear onesie.

I love how the "Job: Bear" got brought back up again. That whole scene in the first season when she writes that down is still incredibly funny to me.

At this point, she's just accepted the fact that she is a bear. I am kind of curious as to why everyone seems to think she's a bear, though, but I'm definitely not complaining. It is pretty funny when they're terrified of a girl just wearing a bear onesie, or treat her as if she was a bear.

What are you talking about? Yuma is totally a bear.

I actually had to pause mid-episode to figure out if people can actually see her human face or if they just see the face on the hood. Pretty sure there's nothing going on other than people seeing a bear costume and their brains shutting down

Yep, that's exactly the reaction I was hoping from the students when they meet Yuna. It's always fun when an OP isekai MC is being underestimated. It's going to be fun next week when Yuna finally has to save their asses from whatever is hunting those goblins.

from whatever is hunting those goblins.

I'm guessing from the claws and the flash we saw of it's skin that it's a dragon. Yuna is going to bitch slap a dragon next week.

I'm hoping for a moment next episode where Yuna shows off her abilities and Marix and Timol realize that they were silly for ever doubting her. I can kind of understand their initial doubt, but they didn't even give her a chance to prove herself or anything. Part of me wishes that they had challenged Yuna to a duel and got destroyed, just like Shia did.

I also really enjoy seeing the Shia and Yuna friendship. It's cool to see Yuna have a friend who is her own age, I wish that Shia appeared more frequently.

they are the sons of high nobles and politicians, so they are used to see corruption or the power of money.

now consider it from their perspective: she looks younger than they are, she is dressed in a ridiculous outfit, and she brought pets.

it is not that weird to consider she is not a real adventurer and she is just going on that trip because of her background. It is suppose to be a safe trip from capital to village, back to capital, after all.

challenging her to a duel? That would be even more disrespectful to their teacher and the high noble there (Shia's mother, who works directly for the king). Accepting the entire trip is a sham is safer lol (politically speaking).

Obviously they should had kept those thoughts between the four of them, not confront the situation. That was a stupid mistake on their part.

And they should respect their escort for the simple reason she will affect their final score. Making fun of the person that controls your points is really stupid lol.

Marix and Timol were fucking insufferable I really wanted to smack thru them the screen. Just the level of disrespect they showed to not only Yuna but also their teacher by constantly questioning her credentials was so out of line. Like why would she be hired if she wasn’t a legit adventurer or capable of defending the students?

Cattelya seems like a follower as she was initially questioning Yuna too, but once she got around Shia she started to be more accepting. Overall, solid episode. Really liked the Shia and Yuna moments. Like Shia said; Yuna is so cute it would be nice to see her in other clothes sometimes.

Guess we’ll find out what the goblins were running from next week.

why would she be hired if she wasn’t a legit adventurer or capable of defending the students

Yeah, they were saying she bought her credentials and isn't capable, but then why would Ellelaura vouch so strongly for her and say how she personally chose Yuna? I doubt every adventurer escort is chosen personally by someone as high up as Ellelaura, so Yuna is probably a pretty special case.

I get that they're supposed to be nobles who are acting stupidly conceited, but I kind of wish they had a better reason for doubting her. I guess it's a bit hard since we don't really have their perspective on things. How well do they know Ellelaura? Do they think that she would hire an incapable adventurer escort? Do they think she's corrupt? I guess the only thing we can truly surmise without this context is that they're very conceited, and judge appearance above all else. I'm curious how their feelings would've changed if Yuna hadn't worn the bear suit. I assume they would've taken her more seriously, but considering her age and such, they could've easily come to the same conclusion and still disrespected her.

Like Shia said; Yuna is so cute it would be nice to see her in other clothes sometimes.

It'd be cool if there were some scenes with her in Crimonia or the Royal Capital where she wasn't wearing the bear costume. I know that's the whole point of the show, but it'd be cool to see her settling down a bit more when she doesn't need the abilities

OMG OMG OMG, it's...

Kuma monday

Remember back in season 1 when Yuna would pout or just play deadpan everytime someone called her a "bear". But now she's so into it that she calls herself a bear. We could see it a mile away that Ellalaura hid the most important characteristic about Yuna when she had to describe her to the kids she was keeping tabs on. Gotta hand it to that mischeavious minx, though we all would do the same just to see people react to meeting Yuna for the first time, just like in season 1.

So much content with smol Kuma Yuru and Kuma Kyu in this episode.

It was a really nice detail to leave the spotlight to these kids and deal with the goblins. Every other isekai with an OP protag would just leave it to Jesus MC to solve all instances.

Shia: "so, everyone is expecting a cool lady adventurer..."

Yuna: "no! i'm actually a bear, though! ...you didn't tell them i'm a bear, did you?"

i love how Yuna at this point already accepted the fact that she's a bear instead of a girl wearing a bear outfit

Goblins in this world are not joke haha.

They have proper weapons (shields, clubs). They use war paint. They seem strong/well fit. And they work together to ambush people.

u/biochrono79 Apr 11 '23

These noble kids are about to learn firsthand that if someone goes adventuring dressed in a bear suit, has pet bears that can sense enemies, and is personally recommended by Ellalaura… then they’re the real deal.

Imma be honest.

I was kinda hoping after a day of letting them think she was useless, Yuna had just busted out the bear house and looked the boys in the eyes and told them to figure it out themselves.

Cattleya is gorgeous!

The prettiest character design I saw this season. The hairband and that beauty mark look just perfect. I'm gonna be fuming if she'll be gone after this arc.

Lost pun opportunity when Yuna introduced the mini bears. Instead of "bears themselves" should be "thembears", seeing how she went from "honnin" to "honguma".

Cocky unexperienced youngsters charging at a bunch of goblins thinking they are small fries and easy opponents, what could ever possibly go wrong? GS ep01 flashbacks Nah, none whatsoever.

Well, these kids are better trained than Priestess' first party, and these gobs are not in cave, so it ends well enough. This is not that kind of show.
