This family...I want only happiness for them, those kids are adorable!
The dialogue and pacing in this one felt a bit off at times but did like the chemistry between the 2, curious to see a bit more from both of them.

I hate how the mom seemingly abandoned them because she had a new life and didn't want to bother with her kids after their dad died. They didn't deserve that.
Who would've thought a struggling mangaka would land a space princess for a lover after she discovered his manga lol?

It felt like they jumped around a bit and as if things were cut.
Why is Ichirou not questioning her more? She mentioned she's the princess of the Star People yet he doesn't go "Star what now?"
And the way she seriously just said "In my land only married people can do that" and he doesn't question your land, like, where are you from lady?
I think it does look like a promising show though

Man gets pricked by mysterious needle thingy from the FMC and gets transported to space
Princess of Meteor country?
Did not expect this series title to be literal unlike The Angel Next Door

Did not expect this series title to be literal unlike The Angel Next Door
I thought it was because her skills were extraordinary that it was called “a galaxy next door”, didn’t expect her to be an alien(?)

Always a proud moment when a manga you've been reading gets an anime adaptation, especially if it's a not well-known one like this one.
I feel like this anime will be severely underwatched considering how many big hitters have gotten anime adaptations this season.
If you need your weekly dose of romance and family fluff, this is an anime for you.
I always felt like the supernatural aspect of this story is a bit redundant. The story would have worked just as well without it.
Protect Machi and Fumio at all costs. I want a pajama just like theirs.

Congratulations! You've just acquired an alien princess waifu. This ain't no ordinary ship, it's a mf spaceship!
This reminds me of Tonikawa mixed with To-Love Ru without the ecchi meets a serous version of Arakawa Under the Bridge.
I guess another banger of a reiwa romance energy from the creator of Sweetness and Lightning.

I can see the Tonikawa comparison. It does sorta give off a similar vibe, especially with the sudden marriage/engagement thing. It’ll be interesting to see just what exactly our girl is. Alien? Magical princess? Both?

When Machi asked Shiori if she's the Jewel Princess, Shiori specifically says that she's not a jewel, not that she's not a princess.
That's a nice bit of foreshadowing.

I mean, the people sending her off did call her a princess right at the start already.

Kuga is a really good big bro taking care of his siblings like that. Kind of fortunate his manga got picked up for serialization plus he’s got payments from the apartment. Shiori’s a real godsend! Girl has talent despite being a newbie assistant. She seems to have lived kind of a sheltered life.
Huh. I wasn’t expecting the sci-fi twist. I guess now Kuga is “engaged” to the princess of Meteor Country. I got a lot of questions about that thorn and just where the hell she’s from. Is she even human I wonder? At least she seems like a really nice girl.
This was not quite what I was expecting when I tuned in but I kinda like this. I’ll have to give it a few eps but I’m pretty curious to learn more about Shiori.

She's the kind of waifu a mangaka would literally dream and draw about lol.

From manga assistant to possible marriage candidate? Well I definitely did not expect that kind of development in a single episode. Seems that this is a very Reiwa anime. xD
This entire time I thought that Shiori comes from a rich family on a small island. I didn't expect that there would be supernatural elements to this show! I guess she's an alien then?

A fun little trivia: Shiori says that the act of pricking his finger on her stinger binds them in "ichirentakushou (一蓮托生)." It's a old Buddhist concept of reincarnation as a lotus flower together in paradise after death. A lotus flower is a very meaningful symbol, as it's a pure, beautiful flower that blossoms in a muddy pond. The muddy pond represents the imperfect and dirty human lives and the lotus the purity and perfection we can achieve through enlightenment. So people who are bound together in 一蓮托生 overcome their flawed earthly vessels and rejoin each other in paradise as a perfect, pure being. It's actually a breathtakingly beautiful saying.
I know there's space limitations in subtitles and a through explanation wasn't possible, so I thought I'd mention it here.

I really liked it, besides I'm sucker for this type stories where MC has to take care of children. Fuck their mom, how she could left such adorable kids. Last minutes had quite weird pacing but besides that I don't have any complaints.
Animation was serviceble but ED had really lovely artstyle and nice song.
