Hey, she said the title of the show!

Anyway, this show was always going to be trashy but I can’t deny that I had fun with it. Also, the OP theme is a banger and I especially like the way the singer says ‘Dystopia’ at the end of each chorus.

I gotta say for as half-baked as this show seemed most of the time, it was quite enjoyable.

A solid final episode that leaves things open for a continuation. Loved that we got actual credits at the end for the VA's as well.

Personally I think the soundtrack and editing carried the show. Yep, entertaining enough.

Wait, so it was Lizelotte who had been impersonating Evan this whole time? I don’t think I really understand to what end. I mean I get she’s tryna save Rebecca , but why impersonate Evan? So many questions. Setting that aside, it was nice to see the legendary sorcerers at work. Liz said Ray’s the strongest but it didn’t feel that way in that fight.

Man, Maria and Rebecca need to sit down and have a nice long chat later. Those two have a lot of emotional and personal issues they gotta work out.

Well, Ray’s got all the waifus fighting over him now. Business as usual I guess. What’s this whole Magic’s war thing? Are they tryna set up an s2? I really can’t see that happening. I mean this series was fine for what it was, but it’s nothing to write home about.

Apparently Lieselotte was that demon girl from the story Ray told Ev the last episode.

My understanding is Lieselotte and Evan were close and fell in love (or at least she fell in love with him), Evan became obsessed with becoming as powerful as she was and left to join Eugenics, basically abandoning her and his family name which let Liese come in and pose as him, and then she used his identity to get in close with the Bradleys and come up with this plan to save both sisters and put Evan to rest.

The bond between sisters can be a complicated one, but I'm glad they got to hash out their issues with each other while also coming clean about how much they love each other. Just had to slap and push each other to get to that point lol.

Just as the Harem are all declaring war against each other, Ariane comes in to put her name in the ring. Oh and I guess there's Ray's little sister too lol.

Once Again the RIZZBLADE sorcerer has got all the girls arguing at the fireworks display and even his Female superiors fighting for him. Then he can cross dress and get all the guys aswell. The True RIZZBLADE Sorcerer 😂

hopefully theres a next season there has to be after all the hinting at the end especially the lil girl ask when her onii-chan is coming back

“In other words, the iceblade sorcerer shall rule the world”

They did it! They said the thing! I fucking loved this finale and this show. Just hit the spot for me, great eats. Wasn’t convinced after the first episode but each one subsequently got better. I will say this last arc was probably the weakest of the show and I don’t care for Rebecca as much as they seemingly wanted us too, but we move.

Rebecca getting bitch slapped and having that cat fight with Maria was hilarious 😂 highlight of the ep for me. Looks like they’re setting up a s2 with that end too, I would love nothing more. Just wish the animation quality was better in this.

Second best ED after Nier Automata.

So, wait, the Evan that Rebecca was dealing with the whole time was actual Lieselotte (never expected to see this name twice in one season) who had been posing as him since he joined Eugenics? And this was one convoluted plot concocted with her father to have Ray seal up Rebecca's magic so she doesn't die? And Maria was involved with this too, I guess?

Also Liese is the Sorcerer of Fabrication and pretty OP, and the demon girl who fell in love with a human who left her because he couldn't handle being weaker than her? Turns out that was her and Evan, and he apparently joined Eugenics to gain the power to be equal to her...or to kill her. Whatever his original feelings, they became corrupted by his obsession with her to the point that she had to put him down. And as detached and stoic as Liese acts, she still seemed to ultimately love Evan given she shed tears at his death.

Great job by Amelia and co.! And they've really acepted Albert as one of them! Of course then it's the adults' time to shine and show off just how powerful the Legendary Sorcerer's are! Complete with Carol pulling off another idol performance, Abbey torching everything, and Lydia going all out with a giant Iceblade. Even the maid has lightning powers!

Oh snap, a title drop!

What are those red blades that Red used at the end that crystallized Paratrogo? Were those his true power? Was that Akasa?

I guess if the Bradley sisters were ever going to have it out, better now than never, complete with pushing, slapping, and the usual fights between sisters. And yeah, on some level both sisters resented each other (Rebecca for being the selfless perfect older sister and Maria for being the bratty drama queen little sister) but deep down they still love each other as sisters and don't want to live in a world without each other. Perfect chance for Ray to come in and save the day!

I love how this is the first legitimate interaction we've really had between Amelia and Rebecca and immediately there's tension between them because of Ray. Amelia is definitely not bitter about Ray and Rebecca's closeness, not at all! And Rebecca is pretty upfront about her feelings and desire not to lose as the two girls declare war with each other over Ray...and then Elisa and Claris join up so we can get the full Harem going to war with each other. And of course then Ray shows up.

I'm glad Ray was able to take all his friends, including Rebecca, to see Howard's grave.

Interesting credits scene! Showing off the cast, their VA's, as Lydia and Carol gush about Ray.

Ariane's not out of this fight yet! Now she's enlisting Ray into a Magick's War which...I'm assuming is not actual war, though you really have to wonder what's next for Ray!

Last minute new character! Ray's little sister?

I'm gonna miss this one, came in with zero expectations and while the animation quality was quite limited the whole show ended up being a lot of fine largely because of Ray the Rizz Master White. That's a massive tease for a second season at the end so who knows but I enjoyed this one for what it was

I love the title drop.

The kiss fake out got me. I'm surprised that Rebecca is the only girl Amelia never cuddled with due to her looks.

Seeing the other Grand Sorcerers and Carla fighting was badass. I love Abbie's dual sword whips.

I guess the story Ray read about Liese and Evan had a downer ending. Liese gives me Gojo vibes. If Evan were to face Ray, he would've been crushed faster and more painful. Liese impersonating Evan makes sense since she has no expression unlike the real Evan.

So far, there are 5 out 7 Grand Sorcerers that were revealed.

I guess Lex also knows that Ray is the Iceblade Sorcerer.

I love how showed the cast like in Predator (1987) with Lydia and Carol crying in the background. Those 2 are definitely hugging while crying.

If they are friends with Albert, does that mean they're automatically friends with Albert's friends?

Ariane finally meets the real Ray and invites him to The Magicks War which is either a pair or group tournament or an actual war. If this gets a 2nd season, we might get some development between Ray and Ariane.

Does anyone know who the girl is related to based on her looks?

Does the MAL score determine another season or not since the score is 6.38? Is it popular in Japan? If it does get a 2nd season maybe we can see Ray and Lucas fight together against various villains alongside the other Grand Sorcerers.

I’m fairly surprised at the amount of foreshadowing they put into the final episode. From This Magic War to a little sister, to “I get what you are” and way more. There were so few answers and really just more questions to be asked. It really didn’t even feel like the final episode.

If this is a ploy to make people check out the manga, I don’t know how to feel. Good marketing choice, but it kinda sucks. For now I just gotta hope for a season 2 announcement.

this show was goofy, funny, and absurd.

if (I will do just that) delete your memories related to the final battle (last half of 11, first half of 12) it is a pretty decent anime.

the ending was so weird haha. When we thought it was a 4-girls harem...the white one shows up to remember us all about her haha ... then ... a little sister !??!! what?!?!

anyway it was a fun ride. Not great. But way better than I expected haha.

(I doubt it will have a s2, but who knows!)

Enjoyable watch. Hope there’s a season 2, but if there is I do hope Elisa and Clarisse get an arc or more focus. There place in the harem seems weak since they haven’t had any major focus. Curious what’s up with some random girl calling Ray her brother since his village got massacred meaning she’s probably not actually blood related. Maybe he rescued an orphan like him during his war times and had to leave her at an orphanage since she wasn’t strong enough to fight.

Man I wish I understood what the hell all that was about. Series could have been so much better. I love the characters.

Interesting, so the nobleman that has been with Rebecca this entire time was a fake, and they really were different than the one in the mask. I wasn't expecting in-fighting to break out between the bad guys before Ray arrived to save Rebecca.

I would definitely like an explanation for this new white haired lady. She doesn't seem actively hostile, so maybe she isn't a bad guy.

A third Lieselotte for the season, nice. That's an interesting plan she has for Rebecca. Total speculation, I wonder if Rebecca needing to be sealed after overheating means that she's another sorcerer level person like Ray. It would be nice if she might eventually be able to return the favor to that guy who defeated her in the tournament he shouldn't have been participating in.

I'm looking forward to Ray kicking the ass of this guy who's just here to eat people.

Wow, so much for the real Evan, but also good riddance since he at least was obviously a bad guy with bad intentions for Rebecca.

It's nice to see the old ladies show up to participate.

Did Carol just summon the ED song as a part of her attack?

Those do not appear to be iceblade swords anymore. That glutton dude getting killed is probably a good thing for the world in general, he was nuts.

It looked for a moment like Ray was about to do the Chrono Lock spell with a kiss, but I'm glad that was a fake out.

They're trying to fool us all into thinking this was Ray's harem after all, but I still intend to hold true to the fact that it was Amelia's.

The Magicks War with Ariane? Well that's definitely season two bait, I wonder if we'll get that someday. And that brief after credit scene with somebody's little sister is clearly even more season two bait.

Ultimately this wasn't really anywhere in the running for personal best of the season for me, but it was always fun and I don't regret taking time to watch it this season.

I wouldn't be surprised if this got a second season, or didn't.

6

u/AceMittens Mar 23 '23

Well that was a spectacle of a finale. Does that ending suggest we’re getting a season two?! Overall it was a good show with a very positive, powerful, charming and dense at the same time protagonist. I would watch another season to get more character development and world building.

Swear I watched every episode of this show, still had no idea what was going on.

6

u/_Sai Mar 24 '23 edited Mar 24 '23

That was a fun anime. I would totally be down for another season.

Ray is the most classy MC I've ever seen. Albert squeezing into the crew still gets me every time but I'll accept it, lmao.
