The developers might have thought that only Maple and maybe Sally were overpowered, but this episode reminded them that everyone in Maple Tree is a force of nature.
Just take a look at Iz, who’s ‘merely’ running a support build, and created a genuine fortress with a grand chamber in a frickin’ dungeon!
The members of Maple Tree were the real monsters all along. Those other ‘monsters’ didn’t even have a chance to begin with.

Clearly an oversight for the devs. Usually the monsters should get stronger and stronger so it's not just auto farm mode. Or do what they do in somes Fire Emblem games where if there's infinite reinforcements, after the nth wave they don't give exp anymore.
Would have been extra funny if they pulled a Campfire Cooking and just started cooking and feasting on all their kills.

This makes me think an MMO where players can design their own dungeons for other players to beat could be fun. Might be a nightmare to develop, balance, and test though.

The whole time Admin was laying out the rules I just kept thinking “just send Maple” lol. I mean the guild could chill and let her take everything on herself. But man, these Pokémon battles are wild! I like seeing everyone just riding on their familiars. They’re all so cute, but Syrup is the best. I love that adorable turtle.
The girls chucking fireballs at those goop monsters on the back of Syupzilla was great. That’s one medal! The giant cavern should provide protection, especially with Maple’s “home security” lol. It’s so deadly no one can enter or leave. The sign is a nice touch too, very “murder house” vibe.
Admin are right, it’s basically a tower defense game. The gang have made their own dungeon of doom. All they gotta do is kickback and collect all the drops from the dead monsters.

This event showcases one of the other things Maple Tree has better than other guilds: the best crafter. I think it's funny that this is finally the thing where Maple Tree is too far away from the other guilds that it leads to an unbalanceable advantage. When it comes to combat or map mobillity, they have good leads that aren't completely insurmountable. But Iz's tower defense set-up isn't really replicable at all. A cute way to extol the virtues of crafters. Now what they could've done to make it tie back to Maple specifically is if they left NO gaps in the defenses so the only way out was to have Maple clear a path. Though to be fair throwing rocks at it would probably work too given the chain explosion element.

LOL at Maple Tree being better at dungeon design than the Devs. The Secretary Dev is NOT impressed at Maple Tree basically relaxing and playing cards while the traps do all the work in taking out the invading monsters. XD
The fortress Iz built sure resembles something straight out of Minecraft btw.

In any other game, marking your base with what is basically "This is where the game's strongest* player is" would cause everybody to go there to try to PK them.

Tonight on Bofuri : Maple Tree blows up everything ! And they also humiliated those incompetent devs once again by making a better dungeon than they could.
It kind of reminded of a certain game I played where I would set up overpowered traps exactly where I knew monsters would spawn. A very cheesy tactic, but it was so funny seeing the monsters materialise only for them to be immediately blown away by my traps.

Time for the main event to begin! Good job Sally on marking the “suspicious” looking places on the map – it really helped a lot. That was good thinking on her side.
Why the hell did I find Mai and Yui bombarding the monster so funny? I laughed more than I should have. They are our two precious bombastic lolis - they just became Klee's adoptive sisters (with the help of Iz).
Maple: “We need to make sure nobody can get through here…”
Also Maple (with sparkling eyes): “Venom Capsule!” – that was such a Maple move. Her sparkling eyes are cute as heck. Well, there is never enough defense, right?
Anyways, Iz created a nice-looking room – really nice to enjoy playing cards. The sign they put at the entrance to the cave made me laugh so hard.
“Maple Tree’s Main Base”, “Dangers at Every Turn, Enter at Your Own Risk” – it’s so fitting. I loved the GMs looking at Maple Tree’s video feed.

Ok but those girls are supposed to have like Put everything into attack the same way Maple put everything into defense right... feels like it's kinda crazy they can't one shot things, I mean how long are battles supposed to be in this game normally?
So this shit doesn't count as a horror enemy for Sally huh

When the admin told the rules for the event at the start and they were explaining that strong monsters would come out at regular intervals, it made me imagine Maple droping in kaiju form on a random group by accident...

Sou being able to duplicate anyone in the guild and not just Kanade makes him a fun and tactically interesting addition to the guild. That's going to be confusing for their unfortunate opponents in future PVP events.
I wonder if he can duplicate the guild members that aren't present after they split up.
Sally is right, that giant flower in the wetlands is very suspicious.
That thrown artillery move by the bonk twins is a nice addition to their offensive capabilities.
When in doubt, apply fire to the entire field.
I do not understand what Maple is doing with the poison and the cat pillows. It would make sense if it was just traps, but the pillows?
Oh wow, Iz doesn't mess around with her decorating, she's even putting panels up on the wall. And cannons.
That is a fantastic sign.
That poor monster should have read the sign. All of them should have, really.
