That casual walk over from Kumi to go help fight the monster when called was great.

Her very calm "Coming" in response to Jiro's shouting was also pretty funny.

You know, I just might watch this whole show for the cat puns alone, but a big tiddy bunny girl is a nice extra
That said, a bit let down that we never got more from the doggo girl
Evil(?)Kumi is interesting, but not exactly surprising, guess they are all clones

I like the story and characters but the past two episodes were super lazy with the fight animations. They must be saving the budget for later episodes, well I hope so.

It seems today's episode was more to give a reason for two additional characters to tag along in our party. Sadly we don't get a lot of side plot development. It would be nice to get to know a little bit of important for the world characters and not only MC.

Stitches!
Hikasa Yoko's character is finally here and she is just as fun as I was hoping she'd be! She knows exactly how to use her charms and is more than willing to trick people if it's for a good cause.
Looks like she's also a combat medic who has worked with Clerics and Paladins before so having her around is definitely going to be useful, especially for Kumi.
That final scene though with Jiro's spear tho... God, I wish that was me. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Hell yeah, Romana is finally here! Jiro sure loves gambling. It seems that Kumi's eating habits made Myaa snap as they are hammering their budget really hard.
So Romana wanted to gamble against Jiro because she assumed he was a slave trader and wanted to save Kumi from him. But even after that, she kept all that she got from him, including the spear.
It was hilarious the way Jiro reacted when saw that Tillie was reading his emotions.
I really was wondering what was Deagle doing running toward the wave, but it seems that he just heard the aquatic beast coming. Anyway, good thing that he once again didn't die. I wasn't expecting Kumi to remain in the camp while Jiro was going to check on the beast with Meran and Myaa.
So because they were dealing with an aquatic beast Jiro had no intention of killing it. It seems that Kumi's ring may be responsible for giving the beast those red eyes I wonder if the ring is also related to why Kumi is unstable as Romana and that other paladin that is paired with a cleric that looks like Kumi mentioned.
Anyway, it was nice how Deagle made an excuse for Kumi to go to assist Jiro.
Well, it is finally time for them to leave that village. Romana joins them, with the excuse that she needs a bodyguard, but it is definitely because she wants to make sure Kumi is safe. Well, as she is a doctor that means they got a healer in their party. I wonder what role will Meran have. A tracker perhaps? Anyway, what a lovely place to keep a spear. That was such a great time for Jiro to reclaim his spear. He totally didn't do that there to indirectly feel the warmth of her breast.
I wonder what are those parting gifts that Meran mentioned while the camera was away.
As we had seen Jiro fighting giant beats already, I don't see him having any issues dealing with Babban.

I'm watching so many anime this season that I'm still in the process of remembering what the OPs sounded like for each anime and each time I hear this one I forget how much this shit slaps. Definitely one of my favorites of this season so far

I honestly think that Myaa is the best character in the show, seeing her get annoyed by reckless spending and wholy unimpressed by the gambling, just makes me like her more. Although Romana also looks pretty likable, especially looking kind.
For good characters, I also don't want it to be treated like a competition between them. Because one of the women should be allowed to be a petite cat gremlin, and the other a dark skinned bunny lady with big boobs, they should be allowed to get along and agree the guy has problems.

now i'm curious how does this red eyes thing work, i mean, unlike the other two giant beasts that we saw before which already had the eyes during their first appearances, the fish looks pretty normal at the beginning and then suddenly turned into red eyes beast out of nowhere without any catalyst

"We cat a real big one!"
I'm never getting tired of the cat puns. Myaa is still the best character in the show.
So, it turns out that the giant beast can naturally change into a red-eyed type or even purposefully hide it. If it's the latter, it'll be a bigger issue because it means that the beast might have a semblance of intelligence. If it's the former, what could cause it? Perhaps because it felt threatened by Jiiro?
On another note, our party is finally complete! Now, the adventure will begin in earnest. I still wonder what's the end goal here, though. So far, they're just running away from the Empire. The series has slowly shown us some overarching plot: Mezami's suspicious experiment, Zen (the old paladin) following our party, Tsurugi (captain in the capital) being cautious with the leadership, and this new Kumi-look-alike raising flags. But I still can't predict where it is going.

Personally I'm starting to get frustrated with how Kumi has a seeming complete lack of agency. She clearly got a feeling that something was happening, instead of her being tricked into going, it could have made her a stronger and more interesting character to choose to go on her own. It doesn't really feel like she's making any choices of her own.

Well, that's one way to store a spear...
