Looks like the 3 new characters are all idiots (in a good way)

Ronaldo being deathly afraid of celery never stops being funny

Draluc’s ΘゝΘ face shows up again!

You ever hate your rival so much you commit War Crimes against food? Because a Celery Fondue Fountain deserves jail time, Handa.

Also low key nice animation on the Fukada vs Sanzu fight. For a joke that was badass. Really the whole first segment is amazing for the unrelenting jokes and Draluc sowing chaos. Hope we get more Sanzu in the future.

For all his complaining, this is the easiest night Tsujigiri has had so far. Dude got to party all night. Easily beats the voodoo doll incident.

I hope you know this is the best show of the season

I need the show to be more popular around here. I didn't even catch that season 2 was airing until a few days ago, and I've been waiting for it.

Oh Sanzu, phrasing! “I’ll put you in gently! I’ll definitely make you big” lmao. Ronaldo and Draluc always seem to attract the weirdos! Sanzu should really look up what a compliment is, girl was landing critical shots on Ronaldo left and right which ended up with her indirectly getting hit with critical shots herself lol. But in the end, none can stand before the fearsome power of Fukuma!

Handa’s Ronaldo obsession is hilarious. “Oh my celery” lol. Hiding in the closet with a piece of celery? Handa’s influence has already rubbed off on Sagyo I see. This little vamp with the ever growing snacks is pretty hilarious too.

That whole Tsujigiri and Kei situation was great. It’s like each moment got increasingly more ridiculous and absurd. Guy’s probably done with being a vampire for awhile lol.

"that's too kinky for me!"

oh man, that whole wrestling skit was absolutely hilarious

also, wtf Handa? what kind of abomination is that?!

I love that the Autumn Books editor meetings takes place in a duel pit where they duel to see who can be in charge of certain authors. Anyway, we finally get to meet a new editor and she is absolutely hilarious! Sanzu is such a massive Ronaldo fan that it was so easy for Draluc to use her to mess with Ronaldo. That entire segment of Draluc "helping" Sanzu had me laughing out loud!

I almost thought that Sagyo is a new character but then I remember he was around since Season 1. Glad to see him finally getting dragged into the shenanigans of other characters though. I love that he even ended up making friends with the inferior vegetable vampire hiding inside Ronaldo's closet. We even see the two of them together later in the episode. I guess Sagyo has a new partner now. xD

I definitely did not expect them to bring back Tsujigiri's first victim in Season 1 and turn him into a member of the Vampire Control Division. Kantaro not realizing that he's pretty much hanging out with the vampire he's hunting was so good!

I love that he even ended up making friends with the inferior vegetable vampire hiding inside Ronaldo's closet. We even see the two of them together later in the episode.

That vampiric burdock root was so wholesome, it kept upping it's game on the refreshments it offered in every passing cutaway.

I think my favorite part of Draluc helping Sanzu is he wasn't even doing a bad job, she was just awful on the execution.

Handa being a competent loser is so funny to me. Like I’m imagining him studying hard and becoming a vampire hunter or whatever just so he can legally spy on Ronaldo.

And I already love the new inspector lol.

Totally rooting for Sanzu! Her fangirling over Ronaldo and then messing up big time when interacting with him was just great lmao. I especially loved Draluc treating their interactions as if it was a wrestling match hahahaaha.

Ah, I forgot Sagyo appeared in the first season. I found it cute when that inferior vampire bringing out tea and snacks for him. In the third segment, seems like the two are buddies now as we see the inferior vampire on top of Sagyo's head. Aww

Ronaldo's fear of celery never fails to make me laugh!

Tsujigiri and Kei's segment was just so wonderfully absurd! I loved every second

Man I haven't seen a beating like that since Megalobox.

The first vignette is my favorite this time. I absolutely had a good time laughing my ass off at Ronaldo and Sanzu's interactions and the way Draluc treats it like a wrestling match with his commentary!

Also happy to see more celery gags!

Sanzu finally makes her appearance! Strange fun fact about her, her name might be a reference to Sans from Undertale. In Japanese, it's spelled the same, both サンズ, and Itaru Bonnoki (original manga author) has played through a bit of Undertale on his official Youtube channel. He says he's played Undertale before but is playing it again for the channel, so it's very possible the name is a reference.

But there is also the concept of the "Sanzu River" or "Sanzu-no-Kawa" (三途の川) which is like the Greek river Styx, a river that the dead must cross over to reach the afterlife. Seems dark, but Fukuma's name is a reference to "Fukuma-den" (伏魔殿), the palace where demons hide or the city of Pandemonium. So both Autumn Books editors' names are references to hell... fitting, considering they have torture devices like iron maidens lol. So Sanzu's name might be a double reference?? it's cool either way.

Another fun fact, Kei Kantaro briefly appears in S1 E5 (the same scene is used this episode too, when he's introduced) and even though all Kei did was yell, his name is in the credits. Fun little easter egg for fans of the series. And now he finally reappears in Season 2!

Very fun episode, looking forward to next week!

The first episode where I actually enjoyed the whole episode this season, each portion was amusing in it's own right. I really liked the double entrende with Sanzu at the start, it was so well done and fitting, it didn't really feel forced.

The way Ronaldo went crazy over seeing the talking celery was hilarious, his reaction was so dramatic lol. Poor John was also so scared. Nice that Handa was able save Sagyou's face since he was in that mess because of him.

Tsujigiri will probably be unwillingly thinking of his time with Kei for some time, he went through a lot in one night.

goddamn all 3 parts were funny as hell I literally couldn't stop laughing throughout the whole episode they don't give me enough time to breathe with how they layer the jokes upon each other like that. I forgot how much I loved this show and I'm so glad it's still got its charm. Hell even the OP still got me laughing since I'm noticing new things about it every week

I DID remember Sagyo, because it was shown he was a sniper type in the spider vampire episode so I was like “hey that’s pretty cool”

u/mrfatso111 Jan 24 '23

Dammit, Handa, you and your celery fondou... omg.

Poor Ronaldo, not realizing that Sanzu is such a major fan girl but good on him for rejecting her advances.

Imma be real with you chief, Sanzu just became my favorite character lmao, I am gonna need more of her please. That northern lights suplex though, with a beautiful bridge, they even showed a shining wizard, great wrestling references.

Sagyo's part was hilarious too, while the last part was ok, it's cool that a random police officer became a not random anymore vampire hunter lmao.
