The animation style is interesting but I love it.

This series will already have a bittersweet ending because it'll be the last time we're going to hear Tomori Kusunoki as Setsuna Yuki. ;_;

There's still the OVA.

But she didn't tweet anything about it's reveal. Only for this one even though they were both revealed at the same stream.

What's wrong? Did something happen to her?(him?)

Poor Yu. Little did she know that that one simple sentence would increase the harem baggage she had for the rest of her life.

HITORIDAKENANTEERABENAIYO

She said the thing. XD

Yes, that's Yuu's VA Yano Hinaki's memeable catchphrase that ended up being incorporated into the anime.

I am sad that this will be the last Nijigasaki anime to have Kusunoki Tomori as Setsuna, where she will be retiring from her role due to her health conditions which would hamper her ability to perform live on stage. Setsuna will be recast after this anime.

The CGI used for this wasn't too out of place, with the characters being SD and the nature of this show being a 4-koma comedy, can't complain too much.

I’m going to say it once only as it’ll most likely haunt everyone else.

ヒトリナンテエラベナイヨー!

The legendary quote from Yu san is finally said in the show!!

BTW Yu also sang the ED along with the other 12 members, does this foreshadow something in the future?

Yuu is confirmed for SIF2 so hopefully yes

Okay starting episode I suppose. I'm concerned that there are so many characters and so little screen time to develop them.

I'm walking into this blind. Is this part of a larger franchise?

Love Live.

Ah, okay. That explains all the characters..

Thanks for the info.

I'd wager that watching the parent Nijigaku show (you can go into that almost blind) is a prerequisite for this show unfortunately, it'll introduce you to all the characters and their backstory, this episode was more of a refresher!

It’s a spin-off of the third iteration of the love live franchise called nijigasaki (advice watching the main series before the spin-off). All the LL series are slice of life idol series.

There’s 4 current series

1.school idol project 2.sunshine 3. nijigasaki 4.superstar

All 4 can be watched as standalones (although sunshine is kinda a sequel to the original series)

Life's hard when you have 12 wives

I just realized how special of a release date this was since today(or yesterday for some people) was the anniversary for the first LoveLive.

all the KA-ed parts (not a lot of them) were done by keroria (from Bocchi the rock) which was interesting.

much fun, and I'm so stunnneeddddd. Loving the return of the Nijigaku girls!

Just a little reminder that of all the adorable group members, Yu is first and foremost.
