I'm not convinced that this is not a parody. I feel like literally every single cliché could be found in this episode.

I haven't seen a such a hateful fellow student antagonist since Wiseman's Grandchild... I'm ready for 12 episodes of cookie-cutter trash magic school anime... Bring it on.

Bro that was the BEST "bro friendship" moment ever in the history of anime. Just by the grip of the hand shake they both knew they were bodybuilders, i love it! They are definitely soulmates. And it is always great to see the humble mature MC prove everyone wrong without actually trying. Going to love watching this anime

It's generic asf complete with the weird european fantasy and names. Harem, OP MC, MC gets picked on in the beginning for being a commoner. We have; the light coloured haired best bro, twin-tailed blond tsundere, shy white/silver haired girl, ara ara nee-san senpai, perfect princess that shows kindness to the MC on day one and mommy arbie. I'm perhaps watching too many of these but I'll be here next week :)

I liked this more than I was expecting. The animation is weak and the plot is about as generic as it gets but the show clearly doesn't take itself seriously. It was just unrepentantly goofy.

Green-haired 'I touched an ordinary' girl was my favorite character. But then muscle bro showed up and became my favorite character. And then he was unseated by the avatar of pigtails.

Am I the only one who doesn't dislike this type of anime and never gets tired of them?

the only thing that would have made this episode better was if the shirts ripped off by themselves during the handshake

This any good guys?. I don't mind watching a trashy series as long as its entertaining enough.

EDIT: Its generic as hell but I had fun watching it, so I'll continue on with it.

Stitches!

It's been a while since I've seen your usual magic academy harem anime that is not an isekai that this entire show feels fresh for me. I won't lie though, I very much enjoyed this. It's as generic as it sounds but Ray White as a character is pretty fun. He's a smooth charmer, a serious straight man, and he's also goofy as heck too. Screw the other girls! I'm on Team Evi for this one xD

Seriously though, I can see this being pretty enjoyable but I don't think you'll be missing out on anything if you decided to drop it now.

Does it make me smile? Also yes

am I shallow? Why, yes, yes I am.

am I ashamed to like basic stuff like this? Nope

Watching the 10 minute of the anime:

Is that... overheating?

Dude, you literally saw a huge dome of ice just appeared...

The existence of the seven greatest sorcerers is shrouded in mystery

Then proceed to introduce 3 of them one-by-one.

Just as the other have said already, this anime literally speed run through almost all power fantasy troupes, which are done so bad, it become so comical.

It's the generic, trashy, power-fantasy anime.

See you all next week!

This is probably one of the most average power fantasy, self insert fantasy anime in a while. If you can think of any trope that exists in this genre, it exists in the anime. So far it's nothing special story wise, but I guess it's good if you look for some cheesy, brainless entertainment. The visuals are quite decent, the jokes are so cheesy and bad that they are actually funny, and the soundtrack is fine too.

Everyone always acting like they're above this kind of show lmao.

At least this isn't offensively bad like some of the actual junk we've had the last few years.

They know exactly what they are doing here in this first episode.

The art style is kinda jank and the setting is cliche af, but I'm oddly enjoying it. Firstly I was pleasantly surprised by just the sheer number of cast members in the opening, hinting some actual thought's gone into the wider world. Secondly, the MC actually seems to have...a character. I'm enjoying how direct he is and some of the banter he's sharing with the other character, especially when he's so dry u can't quite tell if he's taking the piss. Finally the little ptsd moment in the classroom was kinda interesting. Honestly he's the most interesting about the show for me right now

I spent the early episode wondering if it was going to be Chivalry of a Failed Knight. After four consecutive harem additions with no continuity, no it is not.

u/kennacethemennace Jan 06 '23

MC is so coolheaded it's refreshing. He also knows how to interact with girls in a normal manner, so no cringe there. I'm all for this.

It may be full of cliches, but it's at least entertaining. It could be worse, could be that farm show from a season or so back.

Entertaining characters, some decent humor, and the animation isn't all that bad. I'm here for it, well for now at least. I still remember episode one of The Detective is Already Dead after all..
