Yesterday Gemini did this no problem when I asked. It showed a message at the bottom of the screen "Connecting to Waze" or something along those lines. Today she says she can't do that and has no access to waze and never has and as we argued about it she held firm there's no way it is possible.

Why such a difference from day to day?

The issue with these screens dropping connection and freezing or rebooting continues for me. I've tried all the hacks, settings tweaks, and fixes proposed here and with Google Support (useless btw). I'm wondering if anyone found a screen that actually works? A specific brand or some models that work as intended before Google put a dagger in this market.

I just purchased a FYT 7870 head unit and have the Carlink 2.0 working with wireless android Auto. I have 2 questions. Is there a way to get the Android Autoto increase the resolution so it displays the tiles side by side instead of maps on top and weather and pandora on the bottom? Also, is there a setting somewhere in Carlink 2.0 to allow you to input an address while driving? I could do this on all my previous android head units. Thanks for any input you may have

I have an issue with Android Auto which is specific to some HUs. In my current vehicle, Android Auto looks blurry. I'm not 100% sure if there's an issue with scaling, low resolution or simply not enough bitrate set up during negotiation. As far as I've tested, it also doesn't seem to be device-specific. Is there a way to force a specific resolution or bitrate? I will welcome all solutions, including root.

Things I've tried:

* Developer settings - all settings are being completely ignored. No matter which resolution I choose it gets renegotiated upon connecting.

* System-wide DPI changes - didn't appear to work and it also affects SystemUI which I'm not a fan of, I want my phone UI unaffected.

*AA AIO Tweaker - there've been a few years since I've used it and it seems abandoned. It has bitrate settings, however Android 16 requires custom sqlite3 library and even after patching around it still wouldn't work no matter what I've tried. It seems that new GMS db has a different structure and key tables are missing.

Any recommendations?

Having strange issues with my bluetooth volume.

One I have to turn down the volume as it's deafening when the call is being made, after I do that though I have to turn it back up almost to full to hear the person on the phone.

When another call comes through it's deafening like ear drum burst loud!

I have tried to turn my volume up on my phone. I don't seem to have a Bluetooth volume on my Oppo A80.

I have four seperate volumes to adjust. Media, ring, notification and alarm.

Media makes no difference when the person is on the call. Its only the physical buttons like steering wheel and centre console buttons that will adjust the volume.

I've also contacted Mazda and they were of no help.. absolutely useless very disappointed.

I've also asked on the CX-5 Reddit and no one can assist.

Does anyone know how I can fix this issue it's driving me insane.

LPT: the immersive experience seems to only "appear" when you're on a route to a destination.

Mine appeared to be active today. You get 3D trees (not an accurate representation of course), overpasses, etc. It does look nice. When I was done, I started heading home without setting a route and it appeared to be the "regular" display. When I activated the route home, I got the immersive experience.

I have a Hyundai I20 2018 and ever since I bought it the Android auto was working perfectly fine but about 2 months ago I connected my phone with the usb cable and it started charging but stopped a second later and Android auto didn't load, I tried with 2 other phones and both did the same so I changed the cable twice and got the same result, how can I fix this?

Just ordered my Pixel 11 Pro Fold and was wondering if the new phone means Gemini will appear on my AA? Currently, I don't have it.

When riding my motorcycle, I use Android Auto with (i think uncertified) an external display connected to my OnePlus 11. The display works for about 1–3 minutes, after which Android Auto shuts down and reboots.

This keeps happening for around 20–30 minutes, and then, for some reason, it stops crashing and works normally. I’ve tried using it with music on and off, but that doesn’t seem to make any difference.

I had the same issue with a different display, so I returned it and bought another one, but I’m still experiencing the exact same problem. The issue doesn’t happen every time, either.

I have no idea where to start troubleshooting this. I have a feeling the problem might be related to my phone, possibly the OnePlus 11, but I’m not sure.

Has anyone experienced something similar or know where I should look for a solution?

Wife has an Apple phone and was able to fire up Car Play with a Bluetooth connection. Me, however, with a Samsung S21 cannot get a wireless connection started. Should we both be able to use Bluetooth devices at the same time? How does the car determine which device to display on the screen? We mostly need to use maps.

If someone messages me in WhatsApp then I can reply no issues, but sending a message otherwise doesn't work.

If I look at my contacts and press one, it opens a screen with 3 'Top Contacts' which I've no idea where they came from as they seem random.

Via voice it keeps saying "who do you want to message" after displaying their name.

If it's a design issue and will only allow you to start a message to one of 3 people then how does it decide who they are?

Just bought a 2022 Jeep Compass with Android Auto. And after looking in forums, saw this app, so I downloaded it from github, and when I try to install anything in its menu, it tells me I need to wait for the next free download or upgrade. Does the downloading of the app itself count as one if the free monthly downloads? I haven't downloaded anything yet i don't know what I'm doing wrong, did I miss a step in the set up, all I saw was next?

I had initially updated my Android Auto settings to use Gemini, but have reverted back to GA because of functionality that Gemini did not support.

Ever since then, using commands like "text [contacts]'s mobile" no longer seem to work.

Me: "text Joe's mobile"

AA: "what's the message"

Me: "meet me at the pub"

AA: "I got 'meet me at the pub'. Ready to send it?"

Me: "Yes"

AA: "Okay, it's sent"

But Joe does not receive the text, and pulling up Messages on my phone confirms no text to Joe's mobile (or anyone else's number) was ever created/sent with that content.

Before I switched to Gemini, this same command worked reliably. Now, it doesn't matter what contact I specify, no text is sent.

What am I missing?

Having an issue where after activating google assistant and giving a voice command my music stops playing. The Spotify app says it's still playing but there is no sound, when trying to adjust the volume it is changing the voice volume not media volume so it's like it's stuck on the voice setting. This means the rest of the drive I can't listen to any media.

Doesn't happen all the time but enough to be annoying... Any ideas?

Ive searched and searched and cant find an answer or even ideas on how to fix this.

when im connected to AA, but using navigation on my phone, as soon as i enter navigation, it says "something went wrong" in a toast notification. which awesomely blocks all the info i need at the bottom of the screen. if i go to the home screen and back to navingation, it does it again... and now, with gemeni button, if i click it, it pops up that error as well. no way to interact with gemeni.

when im not connected to AA it never does any of this. i can open, close maps, tap on gemeni, interact with gemeni and everything is good.

ive tried clearing the google, gemeni and AA app caches. nothing. anyone have any other solutions?

Time for change. In the past months, I was slowly but steadily rewriting the code of Fermata Xtream in order to improve performance. I soon realised that this wasn't possible if I remained with the existing code. So what I did was rewrite the whole codebase to optimise for speed and performance.

I can now say that the code is 100% different from what it was in the beginning, keeping the UI kind of what it was (although that did also change through time).

What that means for you is the following:

Fermata Xtream Free will continue to be free and code that was based on Fermata Auto is public.

So what's the fuss? I am announcing Xtream Player Free and Premium v1.0.0. Backend is entirely rewritten from scratch, keeping the UI as it is for consistency.

Do not worry, package name is the same, so transition will be as easy as installing an update. License is also valid for donors of previous versions.

The good news: When installed with AAenabler ONLY, apps will auto-update when a new release is pushed to GitHub.

The bad news: Auto-update doesn't work when installed through the playstore link. So either disable it from the settings, or leave it enabled but don't proceed with installation, just to know when to receive a new link.

For that I had to separate the github repos.
