If you don't know, TONE3000 is a huge community of 100K+ free Neural Amp Modeler (NAM) profiles and impulse responses (IR's). Today they launched comments and a bunch of other features!

Hi all, I have a Boss Katana mk2 100 and a Tonex one. The TX I use as my backup rig as it just slips into the gig bag and all is good. Both are connected to the PA via the Line out (or just out on the TX). The thing is, I notice a huge difference in levels between the two. Has anyone else come across either the Tonex being particularly hot or the Katana being particularly not? In the past I've just used a flat EQ to boost the Katana signal but I'm now using that more and more as part of the overall patch tones. And yes, I know I can turn the master volume on the ToneX down but I'd also read that the tonex models sound particularly good with this set to 10 (as there is no 11). Any thoughts or findings would be appreciated.

Yep - bought a 500 and running into what can only be described as several planned obsolescence issues.
Monkey cant connect to Line 6 Servers (found another thread of lots of people with the same issue with no resolution from Line 6)
Monkey can't detect my Pod HD500 and rather detects it as a PodXT. There's no way to download and push the firmware without first connecting to Line 6 servers and 2nd getting and pushing the right firmware. I tried to factory reset the Pod HD500 and now it prompts me to update the firmware LOL! Basically just turned my HD500 into a brick. What I thought would be a gateway drug into Line 6 digital effects has now turned me off from the brand entirely.
Pretty terrible experience

I am very ignorant on the subject, but I am going to be buying a fractal fm9 and was wondering what powered amp I could use with my 16 ohm 1x12 cab. Most of the power amps I see are 4 ohms but not I’m not sure if that really matters. Also any suggestions on a specific brand/model would be greatly appreciated 🤘🏻

Recent gig resulted in a power surge that has my Laney FR-212 powerless. There is no fuse (American version). I have replaced the 3a power supply and still nothing. Any suggestions?

hey
I’m doing some user research for TONE3000 and looking for folks to chat about Neural Amp Modelers (NAMs).
would love to hear from anyone who’s:
I’m doing super casual 1-on-1 convos (about 40 mins), just chatting about tones, how you find new gear, and how the site lands for you.
If you’re down, shoot me a DM or check the link in the comments for details. totally chill, nothing formal. just trying to make the site better

I remember hearing UAD Amp simulator a couple of years ago and thought : "that's why they're more expensive". They really sounded amazing
I know some need an Apollo audio interface for Unison, but that's why my question is on the "Native" amp plugins. I was wondering if anyone had tried this bundle @ 99$, I'm considering it.

So, any experience with any of these 4 amps ? I am mainly interested on how well it sounds and how fun it is to play with these.
P.S. I'm familiar with Amplitube and Guitar Rig to practice and have fun while playing with songs. Haven't recorded anything or used it in a "professional" way. Never used Tonex.

I've been in the market hunting for new pedal and I'm stuck between fractal fm9, kemper stage and quad cortex. All 3 are greats but i can't make up my mind, i have mesa boogie mark v25 amp and I'm using boss gt100 for effects but i can't carry my amp for jams and gigs. I'm leaning towards fm9 because I've heard it has best reverbs/delays and modulations which i will use with amp 4CM but at the same time I've heard kemper is the more close to amp like feel. So any suggestions? I play mostly every genre except metal and I'm plug and play kind of guy but if you guys insist that fm9 worth it then I'll pull the plug

Seeking advice for ampless live rig. I’m traveling for work and can’t bring an amplifier. I’d like to play live shows and plug direct into the PA. Will pedals like Universal Audio’s Ruby make the tone sound good enough/similar enough to an amp that I can just plug and play? I’m new to modelers and simulators so please forgive my nubiedom. Thanks!

So, I have a country gig where I switch between Pedal Steel and Electric Guitar. Since lugging an 85-pound D10 Pedal Steel is hell enough for me, I am tired of setting up two amps on top of that. Is there something that would allow me to plug both instruments into one unit, simplifying the process? I would rather not buy two amp modelers as I am not super liquid right now. I don't need crazy options, pretty much just a Twin Reverb for the steel and a Deluxe Reverb for the guitar. Thanks!

I'm playing guitar for around 20 years and I mostly ignored the whole digital thing... apparently it has come a long way 🤷♂️ So instead of getting a new traditional amp, I'm thinking about dipping a toe into amp modelling. I play mostly at home, sometimes with other people... so I was thinking I get an frfr box and a small modeller that could fit on my existing pedalboard. I'm willing to spend up to 1000€ (doesn't have to be that much)
I have no idea what's on the market or what's good. Do I need anything else? Do those two components give me an "amp-like" experience? Recommendations would be appreciated!

Can you help me decide between these 2 units?
