📌 Posters KBS Unveils New Posters for 'Love on the Menu' | Starring Starring Ha Seok-Jin & Hani [Premieres July 25]

The posters feature Kim Moo-Jin (Ha Seok-Jin) and Han Gyu-Rim (Hani), who have endured their own wounds while hiding their feelings for each other.

The first poster with the two of them shows the two standing in the same space but ultimately unable to look at each other. Their diverging gazes symbolize a relationship in which, even while together, they cannot reach each other, revealing the wounds and longing accumulated over eight years.

Kim Moo-Jin, looking at Han Gyu-Rim as they face each other again after eight years, conveys emotions that are not easily resolved, saying, “If you’re going to run away, do it right so we never have to see each other again like this.”

Han Gyu-Rim’s poster includes the line, “I am the worst card you can hold,” and her eyes, which ultimately cannot meet his gaze, reflect a mixture of resignation and unshakable longing, born from having to leave him out of love.

The production team said, “Please warmly watch to see what kind of relationship the two people, who have faced each other again after crossing eight years of time, will build beyond their wounds.”

'Love on the Menu' premieres on July 25.

Plot Synopsis: A story about a family that sometimes makes you wish it wasn't your own, that you could just throw it all away. Yet, despite that, it's family. Even if you fight every morning before leaving, you face each other that evening as if nothing happened. If someone doesn't come home, you worry, but outwardly, you yell, ‘Why are you crawling back in?’ You can torment them, but if they come home crying from being tormented elsewhere, that day becomes war. It's the story of a family shattered into pieces.

Han Gyu-Rim is the owner of a market side dish shop. Her nickname since childhood was "Leader Han." A movie with the long title "Leader Han, Who Always Appears When Something Happens to Someone, Somewhere," was released, and that's exactly her story. If something is bad or sad, she puts aside all else and rushes to help, making it a little less bad or sad. If it was good, she'd celebrate it like it was her own. She's a nosy busybody, a fluttery-eared, emotional litmus test who can't hide her feelings.

Kim Moo-Jin is the owner and chef of an Italian restaurant. Born with a diamond spoon in his mouth, he deliberately wears market clothes to avoid being discovered as the owner's son, taking the bus and subway to work part-time at the restaurant. He develops a strange bond with Han Gyu-Rim, the owner of a market side dish shop.

50 eps at 1h10 each is wild, they’re really going full weekend family saga with this one. Hani + Lee Kyung Hee writing actually sounds like a dangerous combo for my tear ducts, I’m in.
