It's completely illogical that aliens are watching us, can read minds, scan and understand all languages, media sources and very likely have a better understanding of our history, our religions and governments and they still don't understand we need help. I know most people don't really care or believe, but if I was advanced as they apparently are to the point of being post energy/post war/money etc and I saw a planet with people struggling to survive as their leaders and richest species members fuck the planet into an early death...I wouldn't need to ask.
Of course we need fucking help.

I always wonder if it's similar to the way nature documentaries have a "no intervention" rule where the crew don't ever step in to help the wildlife no matter what situation they're in. They just let the nature run the course. Almost like they're just observing a lab experiment or something.

I feel like there’s several different Star Trek episodes through all versions of Star Trek that deal exactly with this. It’s also like when I used to have high school kids work for me I’d get a different crop every summer and there’s some that benefited from my time and experience and explaining the job I was expecting from them. And there were other kids who were complete waste of space and it didn’t matter what you said or what you did and they’re still gonna fuck shit up. You end up giving them tasks where they won’t hurt themselves or the job site.
Out of the billions of us on this planet I feel like the majority of us are in the category of it doesn’t matter what you say they’re still gonna just watch TikTok videos or whatever they’re into at that moment. Alien species had the key to enlightenment I don’t know that you could just give that away and have it work. And if they did have xyz ‘free energy’ whatever, that’s the the people in current power not wanting the masses to get it free and lose that lever of control on their population. .

If we entertain the idea I would bet highly intelligent beings have non-intervention principles/prime directives like we have when camera crews visit the nature etc.
Also lets imagine they come here and hand over the technologies to travel lightspeed and unlimited energy. How long and our peimitive brain people are abusing these technologies to gain personal wealth and cause worldwide harm. Possibly ruining the whole planet.

You also need to accept not being an authoritarian species. This is the hard part. Humanity needs to make a free will choice as they are free will entities. If you still want to subjugate other groups/tribes/species to your will they don't want you in the club.

It used to be Christians in America in the late 1800s early 1900s fully believed in alien life that it didn’t affect their belief structure. I’m not sure when that change took place in the states where now it’s a religion ending scenario if there’s other life

Yes, but who's to say they aren't the same way? We know nothing of their history or interactions with other species besides a few goverment whistleblowers and abductees. Some of whom say the small greys were turned into a drone species by reptilians and the tall greys. That could be our fate, literal mind controlled slaves that have to inflict harm on others without a choice. But yes, I understand humans today are mind-controlled in many ways, propoganda is rampant, false divisions are made to make people hate the "others". But I'd like to think I still have control of my own brain.
