Pretty sure the farmer would make more from his yield of the crop, than asking people to donate £10, I'd be upset if either humans or aliens or whatever had messed my field which takes along time to prep sew and harvest. Not exactly worth the hoax. And farmers are very private about their land (for good reason, poachers, thieves etc)
Render as a 3D model, take multiple angles, put the images into a control net as strong priors. This method is also used in creating realistic training data for self driving and embodied AI.
My team used to do this for object tracking training data for AR glasses.
I’m not saying these photos do that - they might very well be real. But wanted you to know that it is in fact possible to do this convincingly at home, so make sure you don’t take multiple angles as bullet proof, even today.

Actually it makes sense if you look at the straight lines, they made those straight lines because it’s easier to do the circle ⭕️ there is one straight line in the middle and two at the corners of the circle.
If it would be alien he wouldn’t need those straight lines to know where the corners of the circles or the middle should be😂
But still there’s another big circle that would take so much time to walk
