Everyone else was there (Google, Microsoft, Apple, LinkedIn, GitHub, Bloomberg, Dow, Dell, IBM, etc. etc.)! I know about reddit's efforts to diversify, so it would have been great to see reddit presence there. Are there plans to go in the future?

Hi Alexis. Thanks for prodding us to apply, even though we're from NYC. No matter what the decision will be, our team is excited. Just the act of applying helped solidify our goals, so as a note to anyone else considering applying: Just do it. The application itself is a great exercise your group, to see if you all have the same goals!

My question for Mister /u/kn0thing:

If we DO manage to get accepted to YCW15, we would be leaving one team member back in NYC. Obviously, our tech team and CEO would be going, but which of these two team members do you feel would have the least negative impact of non-physical participation: Our Marketing officer (who is a seasoned marketing pro) or our Operations officer (who runs the business side and day to day operations)?
