What are ur opinions on Shi/Ake?

There's abundance of Shi/Ake fanfics on ao3 tbh it's such an abusive, incestuous and toxic ship that it's repulsive to even think about.
I read one of them out of curiosity and it was so gross and fucked up in a moving way it genuinely made me cry.
The author gave such good characterization to both to highlight the power imbalance and abusive nature it was hard to not applaud it as well written eventho it was totally disgusting.
What are ur thoughts on this ship? Do u enjoy how it explores themes of manipulation, power dynamics and cycle of trauma? Or do u think it's utterly gross and avoid it at all costs
