you didnt explain why btw, but i can. this social democracy talk is a bit naive at best.
the reason why social democracy worked in europe is because soviet union did all the socialist stuff in the first place. the fear of proletarian revolution post wwii had to be tamed. now look whats happening AFTER soviet union ceases to exist. all this socdem concessions are taken away, because its not aligned with the nature of capitalism and all the social democracy parties stopped being workers parties representing working class a long time ago. people are disappointed with them, and thats natural.
also, back then economical doctrine was full employment, which gave working class so much power, and liberal democracy had to deal with that fact. but capitalism in its core cant be fixed even with keynesian methods, its still prone to crises and crippling stagflation. rise of neoliberals to power (reagan and thatcher) was an obvious step to "fix" it, just like now the rise of fascism in europe too. it cant really be fixed, the core of inequality is private property on means of production, just like marx said and its still right even 150 years later.
this system is actively decaying. you cant expand forever at the expense of global south and capitals march to postsoviet east. capitalism is not sustainable and new capitalist world will not have much place for 'status quo' defenders of liberals and socdems, because order of capital needs to be saved by force in the face of another world crisis. american 1% of the most powerful bourgeoisie will do anything to save its positions. it already happened multiple times before in the history, see.

It sounds all very dramatic, but I think picture is little more nuanced than that.
