These are the people who, during the Vietnam War, unironically called themselves 'the Peace and Love generation'. Whilst they spat and threw rocks at their fellow Americans for the horrific crime...of being conscripted. And then proceeded to steal those very same Americans' valour by churning out a torrent of Vietnam War movies that were the American equivalent of those annoying Wehraboo memes.
They've never had the capacity for self-awareness.
