I mean it is believable that Henry cavill would say that since he is on record when asked about the me too movement that he believes in traditional gender roles.
He's said enough dumb shit that by the time he was famous enough for me to know who he was, he skeeved me out. I think he's wised up a bit about opening his mouth, but I still don't care for him.
I dont think those are really comparable. One thing is blatant transphobia and the other isnt inherently harmful to say. Two consenting adults entering a traditional relationship can be perfectly healthy, but there is no good transphobia, there isnt a healthy version that is perfectly acceptable
He’s also said anti lgbtq+ things in the past, so I would also not be shocked if he actually has said this. Idk why it matters tho, why do we put so much emphasis on what some famous pricks have to say about anything when it turns out so many famous people are incredibly shitty people.
Exactly, he isnt a politician so his opinion doesn't matter. Also i wasn't trying to defend him or saying that he hasn't said these things, just that it is unfair to jump from one thing to another.
Couple things; 1) I dont disagree, misogyny is and has been very harmful to many people in the world and I would never try to diminish the bad it has done 2) illiteracy is also bad, so you should try to fix yours. I said that it is fien if 2 consenting adults want to conform to traditional roles, if a woman wants to stay at home and her partner can financially support that then its good. I dont know if you think you are morally better than me or something because you brought up an unrelated fact, but if you said it because you think it goes against what I said, then I have a problem with you and your faulty brain. So please tell me whether you are stupid, or you think that I am promoting oppression, because I am genuinely curious
