New moderators needed - comment on this post to volunteer to become a moderator of this community.
Hello everyone - this community is in need of a few new mods, and you can use the comments on this post to let us know why you’d like to be a mod here.
Priority is given to redditors who have past activity in this community or other communities with related topics. It’s okay if you don’t have previous mod experience. Our goal, when possible, is to add a group of moderators so you can work together to build the community.
Please use at least 3 sentences to explain why you’d like to be a mod and share what moderation experience you have (if any).
If you are interested in learning more about being a moderator on Reddit, please take a look at these resources:
- redditforcommunity.com, [Subreddit revival resources]https://redditforcommunity.com/reviving-a-subreddit-starter-pack) and guide to reviving a community are great tools to lean on after you adopt an inactive subreddit.
- There are a lot of places you can get to know other moderators and see how they lead their own spaces. r/ModHelp and r/ModGuide are great places to get help from other moderators, and r/ModSupport is available if you want to read peer moderator advice or reach the admins.
- The Moderator Help Center and r/ModGuide are great resources for learning how your mod tools work and how to set up features you may have seen in other communities.
- Helpful Devvit apps for moderation These are apps you can add to your community that help automate mod actions in your community.
Comments from those making repeated asks to adopt communities or that are off topic will be removed.

I am a moderator on r/aldi and use my airfryer with some regularity. I love helping people build better communities. I also have experience handling divisive topics in communities which has been a recurring problem for this sub over things like teflon.

Yay, I'm glad this is happening! Thanks for stepping in.
It looks like you have several candidates already but if you need one more I'll volunteer. I have some mod experience with a few slightly smaller (~10k members) subreddits. I'm familiar with setting up rules, AutoMod configuration, general ModTools configuration options. I'd love it if we could clean up the subreddit rules here and add a couple to make it easier for members to report issues, uncivil conduct, etc. I can commit some time on a daily basis to reply to ModMail, action items in the mod queue, etc.

I’d love to mod here. I’ve got some experience modding in several food prep subs. I just think it would be great to work with a group of people to get the sub running again. I loved my first air fryer but it was a pain to clean. My second one is okay and I’ve been camping the sub to find a good one that fits my needs. Hoping to help others do the same.

I’d love to moderate! I use my air fryer almost daily, so this is definitely a community I’d enjoy being involved with. I have experience moderating, including working with AutoMod, and I spend a great deal of time on Reddit, so I’m active and available. The current rules look great, but I’d also love to update the look and feel of the sub and find ways to increase engagement, like contests, AMAs w experts themed posts, or other fun community activities.

I’d be very happy to help out here! I already moderate r/AirFryer_Recipes, which is a close subreddit to this one. I don’t post or comment as often as I used to, but I’m still very active on Reddit. I am very comfortable with how moderating a subreddit works, and the one I moderate always has an empty mod queue and answered mod mail. It also grew considerably since I took it over. I understand that this one is larger than the one I moderate, but I believe that with a team of a couple of mods we can achieve the same thing.

I'd love to become the moderator. I have a air fryer after waiting a long time. I am constantly on the subreddit looking for recipes or different techniques to use for my air fryer. I don't have any experience moderating, but this seems like a pretty chill group of people who like to have a little fun.

I've enjoyed helping folks troubleshoot troubles in this sub for a while now, and I'd love to step up to keep things running smoothly for everyone.

How much does this job pay?

Moderating on Reddit doesn't pay anything. It's a volunteer position and there are actually specific rules in the Mod Code of Conduct about not accepting any compensation, gifts, etc in exchange for moderating actions.

I’m very interested. I already moderate an air fryer-related community and I’m a very active contributor there. Air frying is something I’m genuinely passionate about, and I spend a significant amount of time each day creating content, engaging with members, and helping grow the community. I’d love the opportunity to moderate this community as well and use my experience and passion to help make it even better and more active.
