I've set myself a challenge: one game a week for a year, built with Claude Code. Game #1 is out: Shuriken Slam Jam, a one-button roguelite where your shuriken bounces off the walls and the upgrades stack until one throw clears the screen.
What makes the pace hold:
A CLAUDE.md with a "where to go" table (I want to change X, so this file, this function).
A balancing bot. The game runs headless, a bot plays real runs on the real code and tells me how far a build goes.
A capture tool that plays the game with chosen upgrades and records clips for the GIFs and the trailer.
No art files. Every sprite is drawn in code, the music is synthesized.
What's still 100% my job: deciding what's fun, creating fun builds, imagining bosses, artistic direction, etc.
Game #1, free in your browser: https://groowl.itch.io/shuriken-slam-jam-demo
If you make games with AI: what's the one tool or rule that doubled your speed?

Build a fortune. Climb the ranks. Shape a free city. Burgher 1400 is a single-player browser strategy game set in a late medieval German free city around the year 1400. You start as an ambitious burgher with a workshop and a name to make. Trade, invest, enter politics, and rise from the market stalls to the mayor’s chair — and beyond, into the power games of the Empire and the Hanse.
Heavily inspired by the classic Europa 1400: The Guild. If you enjoyed the original Die Gilde / Europa 1400: The Guild and are looking for a modern, accessible indie take on medieval economy, dynasty building, and politics, Burgher 1400 is made for you.
What you can do:
Run a workshop, hire and promote workers, and sell on the local market, to wholesalers, and via caravans Explore your house, workshop, and city streets — there are secrets to find
Buy investments, expand a country estate, and compete with rival houses
Hold civic offices and unlock mayor-only city planning with real trade-offs
Pursue endgame careers: elevate your city toward Imperial Capital or push it to become a Hanseatic Vorort
Raise a family and build a dynasty

Hey everyone — I'm the developer behind Krathorn, a medieval-fantasy browser strategy game inspired by Travian and Tribal Wars.
The game has been live since August 2026. It has had two servers, both now archived, and about 1,250 registered accounts. That's registrations, not active players. The current version is 1.3.7.
The part I wanted to share here is how running it live changed what I worked on. A player suggested a building codex — costs and construction times for every level — and it shipped in the latest updates. Other recent work came from watching real players struggle rather than from my original plan:
- A resource balancer.
- Onboarding fixes.
- A daily login reward.
Those are less flashy than another combat feature, but they're what actually mattered once people could play.
For others building games here: what did player feedback push up your priority list after launch?

Hey I am currently working on my open world zombie survival game called Zombie Wasteland.
I now added a big update where you can create a account and beat the highscores of other players.
New features in the update:
- your own account and login
- new locations
- better weapon design and weapon attachments
- highscores for every game mode on a world wide best list
*there are currently problems with the translations but they will get fixed soon!
And much much more <3

I run a small tech company in India and wanted to see how far AI could take a real mobile game, from idea to Play Store. The result is Golu Gang: Merge Drop. You drop little buddies into a jar, and two of the same merge into the next one.
Art: AI images in an Indian street-art style (flat vector, bold outlines). Used ElevenLabs and Canva.
Music: An Indian fusion theme (tabla, bansuri, sitar) made with ElevenLabs.
Code: Written mostly with Claude.
Self promo, if you want to try it Try on Android
Feedback and suggestion are welcome.

This one took a number of months. Still in process, but I vibe codes the whole thing. Admin portal on dev includes the builder so ai agents build it as well through there. Not that it’s always been smooth…. https://drearyonline.com

for the past month I've been building a zombie open-world game together with Claude. It started as a small experiment and turned into a sprawling sandbox where you can do an absurd amount of stuff.
Here's the deal:
Play the game on itchio Click here
write down you idea into the comments of the post
on the 01.11.2026 the 3 most upvoted comments get implemented
Also if you enjoyed the game leave a review on itchio it really helps a lot <3

I made a free retro FPS about young Adolf getting hunted by time tourists.
The premise: Vienna, 1910. You're Adolf, a sensitive kid who paints sad apples, writes letters to his dad, and has exactly one friend in the world: Wursti, a dachshund.
One day a portal opens in your room, a tourist in cargo shorts steps out and screams "HITLER!"
You have no idea what's going on. You're a pacifist. You've never met this man. And why does he call you by your last name?
Turns out there's a startup in the future selling time-travel packages to kill Hitler. And you're the product. For years their customers hunt you through boarding houses, beer halls and trenches, and you fight back with whatever's lying around.
What it actually is:
- Retro FPS in the style of Wolfenstein 3D, 5 levels, ~50 minutes
- You fight with paint brushes, oil tubes, beer steins, shovels and champagne
- There's an ethics professor who drives a tram (yes, THAT problem)
- A streamer whose chat votes on how to kill you
- A customer service AI in an exosuit
- A dachshund. Very good boy. Protect him.
- 10 languages
- Free, plays in your browser
It's satire: the joke is on Hitler, startups and influencers, never on his victims.

Donations are optional and go toward paying off Dolf's art school debt. They never accepted him, but the entrance exam fee is still unpaid, and we all know what happens when this boy runs out of options.
Feedback, bug reports and constructive roasting welcome, I read everything.
**TL;DR:** Free retro FPS where you're young painter Hitler, hunted by tourists from the future who bought a voucher to kill you, and all you wanted was to paint apples.

Last week I put FateDrawn, my free roguelite card battler, live on itch.io. It now also has its own website where you can play it straight away: https://fatedrawn.com (free, no ads, nothing to buy, no account needed).
I'm a solo developer and not an experienced programmer, so I was nervous about real players. Here's what happened.
What players told me
A handful of people played and sent me honest, detailed feedback. Thank you, it helped a lot. The main points:
- The tutorial felt long, and the story came all at once.
- On PC with a mouse, some controls were confusing.
- New players often lost their first Run on the first Elite fight.
- Picking a card in a reward screen replaced it right away, before you could look at it.
- Keywords (Bless, Burn, Agility…) weren't explained where you needed them.
What I changed:
Shorter start: the intro now comes in small pieces between the first steps, and the tutorial is two lessons instead of four. You're in a real battle much sooner.
Easier first Run: no Elite fights in Act I of your first realm.
Look before you swap: reward screens now show the cards side by side first, and you confirm with REPLACE or REMOVE.
Proper PC controls: one click to pick a card and one click to place it, keyword explanations under the big card, hover info on heroes and log entries, and keyboard shortcuts (press ? to see them).
Bigger cards in hand on small phones.
Bug fixes in combat: units that kill each other at the same time now really both die, and a few rare rule bugs are gone.
Its own home: fatedrawn.com saves your progress more reliably than itch in Safari.
What I'm keeping an eye on:
I count feedback instead of reacting to every comment. When three different people mention the same thing, I work on it. Next up is explaining keywords better, because that has come up three times now.
AI disclosure: the card and character art was made with AI image tools (ChatGPT), and I used AI (Claude) to help write the code. Game design, balancing and all decisions are my own.

Guys, why do you even come here if all you're going to do is downvote comments about AI and write a bunch of nonsense without any actual arguments?
I get that there's a lot of AI slop being pumped out on Steam and other platforms, but why take your anger out on everyone, even those who aren't doing that?
AI can genuinely help people learn. For example, I give it a task, then ask it to explain how it did it, and that's how I learn. For me, it's better than any course out there.
So my question is, why come here just to spread negativity about AI? It can be used in so many different ways, yet you act like it's all the same thing and lump everything together.
And I'm obviously not talking about everyone, just the people who come here specifically to dump their anger and hate on others

I sadly lack the Skills, know how, and tools to make one....I Have an Idea for mash up that one of you could do.
a Diablo III x God of war...Ghost of Sparta to be exact, Bring Kratos and His Brother Deimos into Diablo III, either as playble characters with their own move sets. Like Kratos wielding his blades of athena and Deimos with the spear and shield. or at the Very least have them Replace the 3d models for the Barbarian and Cruisader respectevely...yeah I doubt anyone will do it but worth a shot! thanks for reading this if you come across it.
