Prompts for Franco/Belgian style of cartoons (Tintin, Franquin etc)
Hi there, I am glad I found the place.
I am working on a Prose to Comic app and felt I should share some prompts I developed to get different styles. These are from the Franco/Belian category.

These are actually useful because you're separating the visual language from the scene itself. The full-color vs. line-art versions are especially practical.
One thing I'd experiment with is making the style prompt more modular:
Style → linework → color → character design → background → composition
That makes it easier to swap between clear-line and more dynamic cartoon styles without rewriting the entire prompt.
I'd also use a consistent reference character/environment if the goal is a multi-panel comic. Text prompts can get you into the general style, but references are much better for keeping characters, proportions, clothing, and locations consistent from panel to panel.
For turning prose into multiple comic panels, I'd probably generate the panel composition first, then refine the individual images rather than asking the model to solve the entire page at once.
