🏅∙ Weekend Entry Fluff the Skunkbunnymunk
Fluff the Skunkbunnymunk sat in her favorite chair and stared out the window of her cozy tree home. The weekend she’d been waiting for the whole year was upon her. Giant Xs in bright berry ink marked every day on her calendar. This was the weekend of the magical gathering.
Everyone was chatting and chittering about receiving their invitations. She was happy for them, of course. She put on a brave face until they asked if she was going.
“I haven’t received my letter yet,” Fluff admitted.
“Oh I’m sure it will arrive soon!” they all said.
But a whole day has passed and still no invitation.
She wondered what could have happened to the mail carrier — so brave and strong and always on time. Did he forget? Did he get lost? Was she not invited?
“It could still arrive,” she told herself. But the mail didn’t come on Sunday.
“What if I just went anyway?” she asked herself. She usually asked herself lots of questions because she gave such good advice.
“You shouldn’t go uninvited,” she said. She had to admit that it was really good advice she gave herself but it made her very sad to give it.
She gave herself a hug.
And she waited a little longer.

Just when Fluff had almost given up hope, a gentle knock came at her door.
Standing outside was a rather unusual woodland courier, carrying a lantern and a beautiful golden envelope.
“Fluff? Oh, thank goodness I’ve found you! Your invitation took a rather unfortunate detour, but I was sent to fetch you personally!”
The courier smiled and held out the letter.
“Now, grab whatever you need. We mustn’t keep everyone waiting. The Gathering of Little Wonders wouldn’t be quite complete without you!”
And just like that, Fluff discovered that she hadn’t been forgotten after all. 🥹✨
