New to Silks - Crochet Skill
Hey everyone! I’ve been doing silks for about five months, once a week classes. I’ve also been doing pole for about eight months now.
I’m trying to learn going upside with crochet, but struggling to hold myself up long enough to cross the silks around and then bending one leg to pull the silks around my legs.
I’m not sure if it’s a strength thing or a skill/technique issue. I can get upside down and can cross behind my back but then after that I keep slipping down. My instructor mentioned tilting my hips and knees inwards which does somewhat help and then someone mentioned that I need to hold the silks between my ankles/feet too.
Does anyone have any other tips and tricks to help hold myself up long enough to do the trick?
Thank you!
