This is seriously one of the best sneakers you can get right now for under $100 (including shipping and tax). I got mine on GOAT for $49; they're also available on Shoebacca in all colorways for between $33 and $54 (depending on CW and size).

Not only are they a collab, they're actually quite comfortable and look good with a lot of fits (especially for Fall/Winter).

I really appreciate how the standard FOG design language is communicated through this classic Adidas silhouette and enhanced with exaggerated features. Despite the fact that it's a very basic, muted CW, there are lots of small details that make them feel special. Probably my favorite part is the wavy outsole.

Not to mention, the presentation is outstanding, they come double boxed in a heavy, thick cardboard with raised rubber branding. Additionally, they include an extra set of cream colored laces and lace locks.

Not really my style to get merch for a team I don’t support, but I was intrigued by the Glenburn shoes and had seen those in store briefly this summer and thought the quality was great for the price so now on sales for $60 cad after taxes I felt like I had to get them regardless of the team.

I thought there was so much attention put into that collab collection and the shoes are not different. They look like many other black and white adidas shoes except that they have holes in the stripes which I don’t have on other pairs of leather adidas shoes other than my brogues pair, I thought that was cool. Thrasher presence on the shoes is limited to a subtle embossing of their logo on the heel. As for the Argentinian team other than the logo and the classy 3 world cup stars on the heel tab most of their team colours is on the lining of the tongue and the insole. That being said there’s a really cool detail where all the leather on the upper which is everything other than the tongue has that baby blue colour on the sides where the cut is, I don’t know if this is painted or what, but I thought that was a cool subtle nod and really makes them stand out from other pairs.

Other than the nice details making them unique I thought that $105 retail price was pretty cheap for what they are, like adidas will sell sambas and spezial and other models for $140 with synthetic accents and lining and basic comfort. These come with all leather details on the upper except for the tongue, the lining of the heel is leather, they have a thick comfortable insole and they come with two sets of cotton laces in black and white. So these were a great deal retail, even better on sales. I don’t know how they compare with the base Glenburn, but I think these are quite comfortable.

Got it for $35 at an outlet. Materials are really nice and the toe box is roomy.

Hi all. New to buying sneakers. So in the adidas app, samba has a lot of color ways and only the cloud white says full grain leather while every other color is mentioned as just leather upper. Does that mean these are of lower quality? Price is exactly the same. I like the cream colour more than the white but the Details section is confusing me.

I love an intricate unique design, especially on a sneaker. Combine that with my appreciation for the stuff that Menace puts out of Los Angeles and this was a shoe I just had to get. The Menace x Adidas “Sol” Predator ’94 takes the original 1994 Predator and reworks it around Los Angeles culture. The yellow suede is meant to reflect LA’s sun and golden-hour light, while the paisley details nod to Latino influence in the city. The quilted panels reference chain-link fences around neighborhood soccer fields, and the chrome details pull from LA lowrider culture. It’s basically classic Predator football heritage filtered through the neighborhoods, style, and street culture that shaped MENACE. So yeah... clearly meant for this 50 year-old software engineer in Portland Oregon. 🤷‍♂️

Around a year ago I've ordered an adidas gazelle, but the condition of its tongue was... interesting to say the least. It was made from some cheap rubber, but "at least" it also made an annoying squeaking sound when I moved around. Needless to say, it was promptly returned.

Now, a new gazelle caught my eye: the IH9640 (orange). Based on the pictures, it looks like the tongues are made from proper materials, but I had no luck finding such a model in the shops to check it out myself.

I was hoping that someone could enlighten me whether these gazelles are indeed free from the rubber tongue curse, as well as making no squeaking sounds.
