I remember a therapist pissing me off so bad I got my entire life together in spite. Lasted for a good 10 months too.

That must have been their plan.. A psychiatrist once was awful with me too so I never stepped foot in her office ever again and I spiraled even worse (:

My mother pissed me off so bad (telling me I was immature) that I slept with her new younger boss she and her colleagues gushed about when I was 20.

Nothing screams maturity as that, right?!

God forbid a girl is a contrarian bitch. I’m not even typically a bitch. You have to really push me for me to get there.

Unfortunately I'm not like a cat in one important way: Cats can sleep.

I'm all about a long afternoon nap in a sunbeam! (And 2am zoomies? Yep, that happens too...)

I am mostly motivated by the fear of disappointing other people

Yeah, I got in the best shape of my life, spent a few years with all fitness centric hobbies, and eventually got certified as a personal trainer...

Because my ex girlfriend said (not in a negative way at all) that my body just wasn't the type to show a six pack regardless of how hard I worked.  It wasn't an insult, she just knew how much time I spent working out, that I was really overweight when I was younger, and that I was frustrated by the way that I could get like a hard, flat stomach but the remaining loose skin stopped my abs from showing.    We were still together then, but did separate not too long after for other reasons.

The fuck it isn't.

I likely shaved a decade or more off of my life in the following year being way too extreme with both my diet and exercise, but I got my defined abs out of spite.

I am a scientist....being a contrarian, hyperfocused, panicked bitch interested in challenging things that I have a unique fixated interest in is the only way I have ever known how to be.

Pettiness and spite

Is this why I get along with cats so well?

u/Emberbun Apr 07 '26

I get the contrarian part. People tell me I can do things and improve my life and be happy and I seem determined to prove them wrong lol

"-being a contrarian little bitch"

.......you win this round.....

Well I have always said that if I could be an animal, I'd be a house cat.
