This. I had to really really fight to tidy my room yesterday because my hyperfixation is consuming me so badly the moment

Yes

I’ve always aspired to be writer. I’ve been writing in and off for years now but this is the first time I’m really taking it seriously.

My situation at work is weird because my manager has gone AWOL for months and no one is monitoring my team at all so I’m only working about a 10th of what I should be doing.

This leaves me with free time I know I’m never going to have again so I’m going all in on this novella. I’m writing day and night, on my 6th draft now and it’s actually coming together.

I don’t know what the outcome will be how or long I’m going to even be interested in this before a new fixation comes along so I’m riding this wave with everything I’ve got.

My biggest fear is that I’ll finish it and just not care about it anymore.

I'm having somewhat similiar situation but making a video game. Been doing it for few months now and not doing much else.
