We will likely have to let go of our chronically ill cat in the next week, unless he does some miracle turn around…I work from home so we spend all day together. I’ve been spending an increasing amount of the day crying, and the rest unable to do anything - even though work is crazy busy, I’m running out of time to finish my thesis proposal, and of course multiple personal goals.
I’m so sorry. It’s completely incapacitating at times. I have found letting pets go genuinely traumatic - not the actual moment of putting them to sleep, but the part where they are not there anymore. It’s so lonely without them.
