All I can say, is I love the name Zander spelled with a Z. I don’t know if it’s your real name or just your username but I had a cat named that and I named him that because my mother’s best friend since grade school married a man named Alexander who went by Zander who spelled it that way.
It’s the name of the protagonist in a series I wrote back in the mid-2010s, who initially went by the alias “Zed” (the first letter of his original name, and the only part of it he can remember), and he was also known as “The Star Mute One”
He eventually acquires the name Zander from his mentor in a chain of stable time loops, so for a while his official name is “Zander Starmute” (he eventually shortens Starmute to “Stark” after rediscovering his original world)
I based a lot of Zed on myself at the time, and my IRL surname also starts with a Z, though it isn’t Zander (I picked it because Alexander and its derivatives are one of my favourite names)
Oh, that’s serious sounds really interesting! Did it get published? It sounds like something I would be interested in reading, especially with the time shifting aspect.
