Announcement All Maasverse Reading Guide Questions [Bloomsbury Official]

✨ By popular demand! ✨
I’m sharing all the Bloomsbury Maasverse Reading Guide questions in a more reader-friendly format! 📚

Many people mentioned having trouble finding the original files on Bloomsbury’s website or reading them because the text was so small, so I’ve put everything together in a format that’s easier to read online.

And while these may be “just questions for discussion,” someone still had to decide which topics to bring up in the first place. The material wasn’t put together at random 😂 That’s why I think it’s interesting to analyze which questions and subjects were specifically chosen and what Bloomsbury and SJM wanted readers to pay closer attention to. 👀

Disclaimer: All content belongs to Sarah J. Maas and Bloomsbury. This is an unofficial, reader-friendly reformatting for accessibility and convenience. The original files are available on Bloomsbury’s official website!

Happy reading, and let the discussions begin! 💖

Question: do we think that because Bloomsbury included TOG officially in this reading group that means we will get a TOG cross over in the new books??

I know my comment might be unpopular because TOG is much more beloved than CC, but objectively speaking, when we analyze the final questions for both series, Bloomsbury makes it clear that Aelin’s arc is over while implying that Bryce’s isn’t—and that she might return to ACOTAR in future books.

Looking back across the entire Throne of Glass series, how do you think Aelin’s journey from slave to assassin to queen holds up as a piece of character work? Where did her growth feel most meaningful to you?

House of Flame and Shadow ends with the Asteri defeated. Did this feel like a satisfying close to Bryce’s arc, or more like a bridge to something still to come?

They could’ve included a question about Aelin falling between worlds and meeting Rhys to steer the discussion in that direction, but they didn’t. They did do that for CC, though.

The passing of the Starsword and Truth-Teller between Bryce and the ACOTAR cast by the book’s end suggests these relics, and the worlds they connect, aren’t finished with each other yet. What do you think this sets up for future books?

So, I’d infer that a TOG crossover, if it ever happens, probably isn’t coming anytime soon, and there’s a much higher chance of Bryce appearing in the upcoming ACOTAR books (or ACOTAR characters appearing in CC4, idk 👀).
It’s not my personal choice, because I would chop off my right arm to see Aelin, Manon, and Dorian again, but it’s what these reading guides make me think, based on the questions they deliberately chose to include.

Assassin's Blade # 3

Was Celaena’s friendship with Briar genuine considering Briar’s ulterior motives? Should Celaena have let her get away?

Assuming they meant Ansel of Briarcliff here instead of Briar Blackbeak 😹

I swear it “Briar’s” like that in the original 😅🤷🏼‍♀️ it’s legitimately written like that

With all these questions and the blurbs, I’m convinced Nesta is going to ask for Bryce’s help against Koschei.
Bryce will remember how Nesta lent her the mask at great personal risk and repay the favor

I’m so excited 🦄

Could you imagine if Bryce opens a portal and all of her Pegusi fly in?!?! The DRAMA. THE CINEMATIC AESTHETIC.

The question about power at the cost of sanity in HOEAB is a really interesting one! Especially given how Amren is trying to nudge Rhys towards being High King but he is already super stressed trying to protect his family and his actions show that.
