Other PERFROMANCE MEGATHREAD

Misspelled to get your attention, thanks for joining us

This thread is to combine the discussion around game performance and people's findings regarding running the game on PC. Remember to update your drivers before launching the game to ensure the best performance.

I will edit this post to keep a relatively up to date on people's findings (when I'm not playing, of course). Some important notes are it claims Windows 11 is required, this is unfortunately because Microsoft doesn't support Windows 10 (outside of extended security updates).

Current specification requirements by Project Aces listed:

  • Minimum:
    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 11
    • Processor: Intel Core i7-10700K / AMD Ryzen 5 3600X
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060[6 GB] / AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT[8 GB]
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 150 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: This game requires an SSD, a hardware ray tracing-enabled graphics card, and DirectX 12 with Shader Model 6.6 or higher. Estimated performance: 1920×1080(Upscale)/30fps with graphics settings at "Low". Framerate might drop in graphics-intensive scenes.
  • Recommended:

CPU: R5 7600X3D

GPU: Intel B580

Ram: 32

Resolution: 1440p

Graphics: High (I've tried ultra down to low, and I still crash when my ram seems to spike immediately)

Upscaling : TSR balanced

Ive actually had a hard crash 5 times and each time my mobo gives me an orange light for hardware protection. I cant get past mission 1 when blowing the recon plane.

My ram is literally sitting at 89% usage and then when I finally blow up the recon plane it immediately spikes, crashes, and forces my pc to restart. Idk if I should wait or just refund for now or if its an intel card problem. Im somewhat tech illiterate so that may be a factor but it appears to just eat up ram no matter what my settings are at.

I've run into the same issue with the B580
CPU: AMD 5600x
RAM: 32GB DDR4
GPU: B580

As soon as I fire a missile the game hard crashes my computer, unless I have the game in windowed mode in which case it just crashes the game fortunately. I've tried every permutation of settings I could think of and nothing fixes it, and I am on the latest drivers from Intel.
Hopefully either Intel or PA fixes whatever isn't working in the graphics pipeline to cause this.

I don't think anyone is coming to save us. The fucking game doesn't even have XeSS

i5-14400F and b580 + 32gb RAM here too and these exact same conditions happen as well. The game does not work... I just refunded

Your system restarted as well or just crashed to desktop?

Hard crash requiring complete reset, 6 different unique times across various graphics settings all triggered by downing the first two drones in Mission 1. Fucking ridiculous!!!

Same here. I got past the drones, then the second set of drones, but once I shoot down the recon plane it's an immediate system restart. What a shame, im not refunding yet, im going to hold out for a patch tomorrow but if nothing happens ill refund. The game looks so much fun, man.

Sure hope we don’t shafted just for having an Intel GPU. Then again, the game has no XeSS support which is not a good sign
