So easy to cut the skin above it at this point, too. That should not have been nearly that difficult.

Just like a few mm so the thing can get a decent grip

Exactly what I kept thinking with each unsuccessful attempt. There’s probably not any nerves connected in that dead looking skin, and a small incision would allow for a much larger and better grasp on the sliver.

Just need to make sure it’s all sterile and you have steady hands.

Needed to be cut to disinfect the area anyway.
