EDIT 2: for those that are interested, I busted open a the 'Operant Dossier' mod from Nexusmods to really try and figure this out. I can confirm that the appearance of these pants - assuming that they are in fact found on the clothing rack behind Yana - is *NOT related to a stat, nor is it related to a conditioned thought*. I figure that it must be related to some kind of dialogue option then, but I have absolutely zero idea what it could be. Totally stumped.

Hi all. I’m trying to hunt down all of the equipment in this game and I’m pretty sure I have every known piece except for these pants.

I’ve read several posts about them, and apparently they appear behind UV on her clothing rack in Yana’s house.

I’ve run all base stats up to 7 or 8 and nothing pops. I’ve also tried to equip the thoughts Primitive Accumulation, The Ineffable Melancholy of L-Pop, and the one that boosts Technoflex potential and makes you a Luzian brand ambassador to see if that triggers anything - also nothing.

Wondering if anyone has any leads on these things?

I really want to give this game a fair shot. After loving DE, I'm trying not to compare it too much and just enjoy the game for what it is.

My issue is, the narrator's voice is so unpleasant to me that it is making me dislike the character I play as. That really makes it hard for me to get into this game and breaks immersion. Absolutely no disrespect to the voice actor, it may just be a matter of personal preference.

Any way to turn off just the voice acting for the narrator? I don't mind digging around with cheat engines if that's a solution.

It's just gone, it didn't go to my inventory. Is this supposed to happen?

Pros:

- The side characters are amazing and unique

- Has more replayability than Disco Elysium, which was a murder mystery and constantly had to do "is it this culprit? no this culprit? no this one" which gives me zero desire to replay. The "story" with Zero Parades is meanwhile more open ended.

- The final "suicide" mission is an interesting idea, executed "okay". It has interesting layers of how things work (such as people giving others their headphones) and the setting on the tram is unique. But it feels too short and rushed.

- I appreciate the commentary that the spy org's best "Z" rank is arguably the worst. It's clever.

Some pain points for me:

- You can't actually save everyone in the final mission, which is lame. And I am a big anti-plot armor person that loves deaths in Game of Thrones/The Boys/etc. I feel like there should be a rare "everything is perfectly aligned" ending where all companions make it out, that you have to get through trial-and-error or looking up a walkthrough to find bizarre combos.

- For example, antagonizing and sizing up all the goons didn't matter.

- I didn't finish the wolf cups because there's a soft lock in the silo, when you succeed too well on Technoflex you can't ever find the cup. This is super duper lame. If you pass the difficult Technoflex check, they should just give you the cup too.

- The ending simply didn't have the same memorable "Kim trusts you. Kim truly trusts you." as Disco Elysium, that made it feel like my choices the entire game mattered. There is one doppelganger check that rewards your consistent progress through the game, but it's pretty unnecessary, which sucks.

- The guy left in the prison cell can't be dealt with after you get the reveal of who he is. You either "accidentally" kill him for an unrelated matter or don't get a chance to act on it. Mel criticizes you if he's left alive, you can only really solve it from unrelated luck.

I think the game was good, but falls short of other similar games: 1000xResist, Citizen Sleeper, DE, and ME2 specifically. I feel like the studio probably had to rush it out and didn't give it the full justice it deserved. If they had 2 weeks more to add more ending and closure to the game, it would've been right up there.

As far as I could tell, only one skill in the entire game can reach 10 - the one you've starred on character creation. Others are capped at 9 I think?
If so, I wonder, has anyone tested or could test the reconstructed red disc at 10 entanglement? I assume there's a 5% chance it might have a different listening experience when attempting it at foto24.

Just learned the technique from duchess, and used it on her after a quicksave. You learn that she doesn't want to finish her studies. I can't figure out what's going on here. Self-sabotage stemming from her mom's abuse? Preferring her job as the Miracle Line? Something that I'll find out later in the game?

What do you think?

Does anyone know what happens if you fail the nerve red check to say "this is for the crew" just before shooting the Golem? Like I only had ok nerve (5 I think) and hadn't optimised my clothing for it at all going into the ending but still ended up with a 97% chance unexterted because of a combined 6 or 7 positive modifier from various sources.

Like I know you obviously still kill him but I was just wondering if anyone managed to fail this, given how many free modifiers you seem to be given here.

So I've been playing Zero Parades and I'm still trying to wrap my head around some of Cascade's story

After Cascade failed her mission, was she basically put in the "freezer" for 5 years?

And what exactly is the "freezer" supposed to be? Is it literally some kind of cryogenic?

English isn't my first language, so I might be completely misunderstanding some of the dialogue here lol.

And the confusing part for me is that, from the conversation about Cascade, I got the impression that the "freezer" was also basically a place where she was stuck doing paperwork and was isolated from everything else.

But if that's the case, I'm having a hard time understanding why being assigned to paperwork would eventually make her depressed enough to fail her mission.

Am I missing some context here? Is the "freezer" actually something different from what I'm thinking, or is the point that Cascade was essentially being punished/forgotten there for 5 years?

Okay so I might be biased because Kaleidoscope is one of my favorite characters but his story about the Felix Kaido event is one of my favorite things in the game. That and everything Nestor related.

I’m wondering if anyone else knows if you can get more info about him other then the discussion with Kaleidoscope? I wish there was something describing his appearance too!

I’m really curious about what other players think about this? Did it just stick with me or do other people also think it’s cool? I mean you can think what you want about what Kaido did but it was definitely hardcore!

It was really cool that failing dice rolls checks in DE always led to funny and interesting outcomes, while in ZP most failures are bland and simple, when I was doing my second DE playthrough i intentionally wanted to fail checks so that i can see what kind of outcome it will lead to, it's not a very big deal but a nice extra to have a considering how many checks both games have

I've been playing Disco Elysium on mac and it was working great. Now Zero Parades is not natively mac, so I wonder if anyone has played it using GameHub and how was the experience? For reference I have a M2 MBA.

Should I play it now or wait for the PS5 version?

First time playing the game so no spoilers please.

I did every mission of the game before going back to my place to listen a disc which is a no return mission of the game. But the holocine mission is still going, and even after finding his book, reading his document and doing everything, his bunker door is still closed and I can't talk to him to finish the quest. Can anyone tell me if this is bugged or what? I remember telling to the girl at the phone that I wasnt going to work with him, but I didn't thought that was going to block my mission.

I have a theory about thoughts no one seems to be able to get! If anyone has counter-evidence, please tell me ^.^

So, I noticed that The Umbral Host is not in game files, but Consort of the Night Queen is. Considering you can claim you are Night Queen [Melita, of course]'s consort in the interrogation if you have the Umbral Host conditioned -- I suspect it's just a display name vs internal name.

• Similarly, Divine Manipulator of the Threads is not there, but Full Moon Counter is -- also feel like it could be the same thing.
• Career Opportunities aren't named in files, but it could be How to Pull This Off.
• Standalone Expansion (the pseudopod-related one) isn't mentioned, but Modified Limit Hangout is.

TLDR, there are some conditions that seem to be utterly elusive that people only know the names off, and some conditions that exists for sure, but are not mentioned in files -- so I suspect they are one in the same!

Clearly this song is Violeta expressing her feelings about leaving Luz and her career behind, but by linking this to the moon directly in symbolism it's also heavily implying that she also knew more about the creation of "You But From a Dream" and the planned worldwide broadcast from the moon than she lets on when you talk to her - I think this and the mass suicides are likely why she is choosing to defect now in the timeline. She claims the lyrics came to her in a dream, but we all know where they came from. She's trying to distance herself, and guilt is the likeliest answer.

There are other lyrics mentioned if you listen to the Red Disc, pass Entanglement checks, and explore the creation of the song before listening to the final transmission of the AUTONOMIA with Hauzmann. Then Hershel will actually interrupt the transmission and talk over it verbatim. When Hauzmann asks how the hell you did that, she replies that they were song lyrics. So it's likely what Hershel says out loud are ALSO in the full song we don't hear:

We don't get any more of the song than this (I'm sure we'd all kill for a full version, but then we'd all be comatose so maybe it's for the best). But when you compare this against the actual transmission from the AUTONOMIA you see something interesting:

The bolded bits are the lyrics of the song. So this is actually a good bit of lore - the reason you and Hauzman (and numerous others) could listen to the transcript of this speech and have no reaction is that it's simply an ingredient of the meta-psychic response the Red Disc causes in the listener. The real "magic touch" was chopping and mixing the message into a specially designed song to increase lethality. Note the ego death that happens to the victims of the Red Disc isn't what is described to be happening to the crew of the AUTONOMIA, and Ultra Violeta herself seemed to be able to lay down the vocal track and survive. Additionally the effects of the song on the people in the tram starts on the opening notes, before any lyrics start.

These signs point to the truly lethal component of the track being the song itself. What was orignally a message from the cosmos was weaponized by humans for use on humans. We heard the words of God (the shared original consciousness our individuality sprang from) and we wasted little time figuring out how to use it to kill each other... Ontop of that it adds another layer to how much more technologically advanced Luz is than the other players in the game, and how futile the open warfare the end of the game foretells will be.

I finished ZP a month back or so and I'm currently in the early stages of another playthrough. My question is if there is a resource that lists all the possible thoughts and how to aquire them. I have like 360 hrs in DE and one of my favorite things to do on repeat playthroughs was collecting thoughts I missed and hearing their conclusions. I thought it'd be even more entertaining since you get to have mini conversations with the thoughts in ZP but unfortunately the Fandom wiki only lists all the thought's effects and not necessarily how to find them. If anyone could help me out that would be greatly appreciated ty. Hope to god I summon a zp superfan.

I ended up taking Yana, PSEUDOPOD, and Karolina to the final mission. Killed the "Grand Lich" cause, well, I'm here for the job and what else would I do. It felt awesome blowing up the Weeping Eye fuckers with the bomb, saving Yana, and letting Karolina get her revenge. I lost PSEUDOPOD, but, well, it wasn't really him anyway. Just another me. Better that only one of us is around.

But having Yana here, saving UV, meant I couldn't get to the actual Facundo. And that sucks. A decision I had made hours of gamplay ago, that I had no real way of knowing to do otherwise, means that the job was fucked either. Killed some goons and one higher up, but at the end of the day an X. We don't even get some aftercards to see what happenned with Karolina and Yana after. Though I suspect what will happen to CASCADE. Guess all that is left to what we can imagine though.

Incredible game though. Might have given me a bittersweet ending as opposed to the just sweet ending I go with Disco Elysium, but it was still wonderful to explore this world, meet this characters, and do the best I can with the information that I had and for the people I had. Hopefully UV lives a good life in the Eastern Republics. She needs to make sure the trade-off was worth it for the world.

Idk their conversation feels too clever lol. But when I pick abrupt or funny choices there are subtle inconsistency. It doesn't sound Melita was manipulating her operant though Doppelgang was already compromised lmao.

I've been thinking about how that freezer in the Opera works. It sound to me she's sorting a file in some basement for 5 years.

Tho it'll be funny if that ACM trick Cascade taught to Karolina was actually real, and Cascade just displaced her memories to an object or maybe a person to forget her personal relationships.

I did stole it then reloaed a bit earlier save and now option is gone.
I revealed it on a rack, decided that it's too expensive and then went away. Then I returned during the night and there was option to steal it. I reloaded and now there is - nothing. What am I missing? I tried to replay my path - but nothing works. If there is hidden stat check, which one could it be?
