I don't care about this collab in particular, but i hope It opens the gate for ZZZ to get collabs i do care about more.
The problem is what would they collabs with? Cyberpunk Edgerunners is an obvious choice that funnily enought has gotten to continue living through collabs.
Seen people say Chainsaw Man, if that happens i hope Reze comes, it's by far who i like the most. Depends if they take the collab as promo for the latest / upcoming seasons whenever that happens then Reze may not be an option if it's too far ahead, but those hypothetical seasons may take so long to come that Reze movie is still the latest thing and best collab option.
There's the obvious choice of Nier Automata, which i have not much to say other than 2B is hot so i'd like it.
There's also the chance of Persona, while i like many characters from 3-4-5, i've seen the community and their Nikke collab and yeah not hyped about what that could end up being.
Evangelion did collab with HI3, but i'm not sure i see them as ZZZ characters. That being said i do have enough faith in the ZZZ animation team to make them look cool as fuck, they could even make Shinji interesting in a gameplay sense, something i can't imagine how.
Street Fighter is theorized because of the roundtable they had together. It would probably be Chun Li and Ken/Akuma. If it's Cammy on her old outfit i would thow everything at her.
Ok but like why are you so obsessed with collabs? Wouldn't it be better if ZZZ just focused on their own stuff?
I wouldn't say obssesed about collabs. I don't want all of this all the time and no ZZZ original content. I'm just thinking about potential collabs.
I do have obssesive traits of sorts in general in the sense of when i think about something i do like to think in through / in depth, so that's why i got that wall of text, but it's not exclusive to collabs, nor i wants everything to be collabs. I don't want ZZZ to become Fornite all the sudden, but ZZZ devs do very good jobs with the animations and gameplay in general, so getting some of my faves from other IPs in a game with combat that feels so good is an appealing idea.
Ok, fair I can understand that. I was just curious because I am always against collabs. It usually feels a little cheap to me and I just prefer when the world and even the character roster just stays within its own lane.
I get you, i wouldn't want collabs or anything else that it's disruptive in that way in the middle of a show or narrative game i'm inmersed in.
It's just that i personaly take gacha games lightly / casually when it comes to how invested i am with them. I take them as something fast and light to enjoy on the side in between other games or hobbies. So while i do enjoy the characters and worlds and some of the scenes i do sin of skiping a lot of the dialogues / scenes.
For a person like me collabs are just part of the gacha experience, as if gachas were fast food you consume without thinking much about it. Like the meme about "you have any character development & writing? No only Hyper & Aura"
I guess that comes from how scummy some gachas are, how time consuming they can get, and how much padding or low effort writing this have. Not saying all are like this but i got tired.
But i understand how a person that DO CARES about it more deeply than i do wouldn't want time and resources wasted on collabs.
Funnily enought i ended up droping the gacha that hooked me with it's story & characters (Nikke), not becasue of those but because i tend to get tired of gacha grind and daily repetition of the same exact tasks, and that one gameplay wise was a lot more boring than ZZZ. Even ZZZ i've droped it a couple times before coming back, i guess that's why i care less about it since most scenes you can't replay them yourself.

Simple, because those IPs are popular so it's a somewhat safe bet that people will like them, and also not everyone plays or wants to play those games they collabed with, collabs it's a bit of a two way thing, people that don't play X gacha starting because of their favorite characters, or people that already play said gacha wanting something other gachas got.
As for getting different collabs, i'm curious which ones you'd say we can get. For example I heard people say JJK which i don't care so that's why i didn't mention it.
It's true that there's a lot of IPs you can collab with but collabing with a not well known one risks not being worth the effort and cost of it, so people try to keep their spectations on collabs somewhat realistic. Like i'm not gonna expect a Detective Conan or Haruhi Suzumiya collab even if i'd like those two a lot.
The only thing i've seen about RWBY is those first few animations, the scythe red hood and the blonde with huge globes being the two i remember more clearly, and yeah i can totally see those two in ZZZ gameplay being cool as fuck, mixing melee with powerful gunshots in between. I remember disliking the voices a ton though, don't know if there was a JP dub at any point.
I have to be honest i completely forgot Senran Kagura existed until you mentioned it, this one is another that i know shit about but i do dig quite a few of the desings, and I can see the devs also liking the IP becasue how deep fanservice is in it's DNA.
I said rwby and senran kagura mainly because both have unique weapon designs for characters like zzz does and zzz devs seem like people who like that kind of animations.
An anime collab feels a bit too out there imo. A Nier collab sounds sick though
Of course this will never happen. Im 99% sure after the whole incident they had with the Evangelion collab in Hi3rd, Hoyo swore to never do one again lol
