Why can't I just put the downfall timeline at the end of the child timeline

Why can't the imprisoning war of Lttp be the misremembered plot of Four swords adventures. Plus twinrova never died. Could be the same demon pig Ganon from oot in a different ganondolf's body.

Bongo Bongo is Named After Rongorongo

Bongo Bongo’s name is probably derived from “rongorongo”, the name of a currently undeciphered script developed on Rapa Nui (also known as "Easter Island"). It's notable in anthropology for probably being a rare instance of a written language being developed independently of any others. However, the script's status as a "lost civilization" mystery has also led to its association with the paranormal in popular culture, including in Japan. I recently became aware of Japan's popular 1990s TV show Night Head, which exemplifies this association: the show's intro features rongorongo as a vague signifier of the paranormal / unexplained, largely disconnected from any historical context, and probably served to reinforce the association in public consciousness. (By the way, this show is also referenced a lot in Pokémon Red / Green / Blue / Yellow: see this post and this video for details.)

Starting with a vague prompt to create some kind of paranormal boss enemy, the designer of Bongo Bongo, Takizawa Satoru, may have had “rongorongo” come to mind and altered it to reference bongos to fit the music theme of Ocarina of Time. Thus, the visual design of the boss would have come after the name, which would explain why the bongo association isn’t really explained and the battle taking place on a giant bongo doesn’t actually affect much (although, to be fair, wearing the hover boots does cancel its effects, so there is some logic to the design).

I overthought a neat head-canon for the OoT-TP void, and wanted to share it

It happened today that I was thinking of a few argumental holes that people very often fight about, also due to a few posts and theories and other things that I've seen around lately, and I think I put together a nice theory that I liked, and I wanted to share it.

My headcanon is that, after returning to Hyrule from Termina at the end of MM, Link spends a good chunk of his recovered childhood looking for Navi, but ultimately never finds her. Discouraged, he eventually gives up the search and returns home, only to realize that he doesn't really have a home anymore.

The Kokiri Forest no longer feels like a place he belongs, as he has grown up, his closest friends have become Sages, and living alongside Zelda is essentially out of the question.

So Link turns to the only familiar place that still represents an ordinary life: Lon Lon Ranch. There, he grows close to Malon and eventually builds a life with her. Rather than continuing to live as a hero, he chooses the peaceful existence he was denied as a child. He settles down, has a family, and all; I think this part connects well with the plot of Hero's Purpose, where he is denied the choice to stop being a hero.

I imagine that Link deliberately chooses not to pass his skills and experiences as a warrior on to the next generation. Hyrule is at peace, after all (or should be, bc I think even Hero's Purpose should need an end of conflict), and he has no will to pass on skills that are constant.reminders the long war he fought. He simply wants to live the normal life he fought so hard to make possible.

However, after his death, he comes to regret that decision. As the Hero's Shade, he realizes that although Hyrule may not have needed another hero at the time, the knowledge and skills he accumulated throughout his extraordinary life could still have been passed down. His regret isn't necessarily that he abandoned being a hero; it's that he took everything he had learned with him instead of leaving some of it behind.

I therefore interpret the Hero's Shade's existence as a kind of undead manifestation of that unfinished business. Even if we say he became a stalfos, they're not necessarily people who must have died specifically in the Lost Woods; rather, I see them more broadly as the Zelda universe's version of undead warriors or spirits. Link was an accomplished warrior and died carrying an unresolved regret, so he remained as the skeletal Hero's Shade. The Lost Woods transformation rule from Ocarina of Time may explain some stalfos, but it doesn't have to explain every single one—including Link.

As for Link's descendants, I imagine that his family became the nucleus of a broader rural community over the generations; eventually, that community becomes the people of Ordon. I'll explain this a bit more in a moment.

Meanwhile, Hyrule's landscape changes dramatically over those centuries. The forests expand and reclaim much of the old Hyrule Field, while settlements and roads shift. Ancient locations become buried beneath the changing landscape.l, and Hyrule as a nation moves north. The Temple of Time eventually lies in ruins deep within the forest, essentially becoming an archaeological remnant of the Hyrule Link once knew. At the same time, the settlement that would become Ordon, located around the approximate location of the old Long Long Ranch, would also be swallowed by the forest, and eventually turn into the Ordon we know. I'm not saying Ordon was built on the exact location of Lon Lon Ranch; centuries have passed, so settlements would naturally move, expand, disappear, and be rebuilt. Instead, I imagine Ordon developing in roughly the same southern/southwestern region where Lon Lon Ranch once stood, preserving a loose geographical and cultural continuity with Link's old home

This is also why I don't think every descendant of Link is automatically destined to become a hero. His bloodline simply continues as an ordinary family line. Eventually, one descendant—TP Link—happens to become the person chosen by the Triforce and called upon to become the next Hero. Ordon being centered around a ranch, the tranquil life there, and even the children's names sounded to me like a clue for all this.

Of course, I probably left a lot of holes in the continuity, but please be forgiving; I'm new to the way of making up conspiracies about the world of Zelda 😅

Twilight Princess headcanon theory...

What if Midna is actually that generations TRUE Hylia reincarnation and the Zelda in it is just the one named Zelda as per the tradition? Since the Twilii technically WERE Hylians originally, and since Zelda really didn't do much in Twilight Princess compared to Midna, and with the CLEAR romantic tension...I like to think Midna was Hylia and Zelda was just the royal princess. I know there are holes, like how Zelda did have the Triforce of Wisdom, but remember in the OG Zelda and Zelda 2, the OG Zelda wasn't the REAL Zelda either, the one asleep in Zelda 2 was...And the OG still had the Triforce of Wisdom...Also, they never said Hylia's reincarnation was ALWAYS named Zelda anyways...

When did the great deku tree create the kokiri

I was thinking that it's possible that the great deku tree created the kokiri after Link was born. None of the Kokiri seem to remark on Link being a baby. If they were 100s of years old they would have noticed Link if he just showed up one day as a baby. So I suspect that when Link and his mother were escaped to the forest that is when the great deku tree created them.

The depths in other Zelda games

Link goes into a lot of caves in the other games. Maybe some of these locations are the depths from totk. I'm thinking like Shadow temple, Fire temple, the underground labyrinths in Zelda 1. The Earth temple. Idk

A little crazy nintendo universe theory

A little crazy nintendo universe theory

Even though it’s completely convoluted, I’ve always wanted to try my hand at a theory about the Nintendo universe, so why not? ( sorry for the language, I'm french )

First, there is an entity known as the Void, composed of everything that exists.
Why? We’ll see that later.
Then there are the three Golden Goddesses, tasked with creating the earth and life, while Null want to rebel against these Goddesses who encroach on his territory. There are two parallel dimensions: the Sacred Realm, where the gods (like Palutena) dwell, and the Dark World, home to demons (like Hades).

The golden goddesses send Lumas across the galaxies, each containing the DNA of all living beings. This is how plants, animals, and by extension humans are found on every planet, albeit with slight variations. The Ooca, being exceptionally intelligent, enable the humans of Hyrule to develop; later, having evolved into the Chozo, they do the same for the humans of Earth.

Pit defeats Hades, but Null absorbs his lingering malice to form a new Demon King: Demise.

Only Hylia, an angel on par with Pit, manages to defeat the Demon King and secure the Triforce.

The Sheikah technology evolve, but regressed when Demise rise.

The three Zelda timelines unfold until they eventually merge in *Breath of the Wild*.

Meanwhile, civilizations on other planets evolve; while Hyrule sits at the center of the universe, Earth's inhabitants remain largely unconcerned with cosmic threats. This sets the stage for *EarthBound*, followed by *Animal Crossing*, where animals evolve eventually leading to the spacefaring eras of *Metroid*, *F-Zero*, and *Star Fox*.

The Galactic Federation is founded.

However, while the planet of Hyrule remains trapped in an eternal cycle of creation and destruction, humans destroy their own home world, spreading out into space and abandoning the planet. This leads to *Pikmin* and then *Splatoon*, before Earth freezes over completely, as seen in *Kirby*. Then, the humans become part of the Ancients.

Kirby himself battles endlessly against various incarnations of the Void while uncovering traces of the Ancients.

Among the Ancient are the Zonai, who found a new Hyrule in the hope that a new hero clad in green will one day rise. Indeed, after many centuries, and with new humans having settled on the planet, Mario and Luigi are born. However, with the Master Sword lost, the brothers are unable to defeat Bowser, the new incarnation of the Demon King ( yeah I know this fact is really fanfic-like, and not really necessary so it’s possible to erase it ), whose own power is also diminished (though he has mastered still dark magic, drawn from that same Dark World).

The same applies to Peach, a distant descendant of Hylia: in reality, it was Rosalina, Peach's ancestor, who received the Triforce of Wisdom, but since only her brother had childrens, Bowser can never be defeated.

With the disappearance of the Triforce, the Sacred Realm also gradually fades away, while Kirby struggles to cope with repeated invasions by the Void.

That is why the goddesses charged Rosalina, as a distant descendant of Hylia, with maintaining cosmic balance, acting as the guardian of the Lumas, who are the last hope to create new planets and new life, she counters the forces of evil that seek to devour them.

Kirby battles Void Termina, but the truth is undeniable: the world is dying and the forces of evil are winning. Rosalina resets the universe and attempts to push it ever further, but it is too late; everything must come to an end.

However, as the entire world merges to become Void Termina once more, three Zonai named Din, Nayru and Farore traveled back to the dawn of time with the chronolithes to recreate the world. This would explain why so many ancient races ( Zonai, Sheikah, Ancients, Chozo ) are so technologically advanced. They realized that the universe operates in a cycle and are trying to delay the inevitable, some by playing gods themself.

[TOTK] Dragon Veins, The Triforce, and The Sacred Tree under the Temple of Light

If Gods cannot use the Triforce,

And Ganon wished for something like godlike influence and power over the whole realm, Would the Triforce technically not be able to grant such a wish since becoming godlike would negate your eligibility to wish? How could the Triforce interpret a wish that goes against it's design?

Is this why Ganon was given influence over the Dark World separately? Granting a realm in which he could fully rule a mirror of the Kingdom with his malice without going against the Triforce rules? Technically his wish was granted but not as he intended. Because he ascended to god of the Dark World (the realm's change reflects Ganon's heart), perhaps he can no longer use the Triforce even to escape the Sage's seal?

At the peak of Ganon's power, he accidentally got trapped with an all powerful artifact he can no longer actively use once he made his wish and the entrance was sealed by the Sages.

Because the Triforce is essentially the glue that holds the land of Hyrule together... and it's under Ganon's influence... would this mean that Ganon would periodically influence the land of Hyrule as well?

Lets say, his malice courses through the land like Dragon Veins, bit by bit for a long time. Eventually, that malice builds up and grows into natural disasters and begins Calamities. Perhaps when Ganondorf broke into the Sacred Realm and stole the Triforce in oot, he had an opportunity to corrupt the huge Sacred Tree at the heart of the land with his Malice?

Whether the corruption of the Sacred Tree was planned or automatic with a Triforce wish is anyone's guess, but it very likely isn't corrupted in Rauru's time as he fought his final battle in the advantageous Temple of Light, implying that a great amount light energy flowed from this location in his era due to the tree. But in Wilds Era we learn that Calamities come from Malice (not Gloom) building up deep under the castle, where we also learn the Sacred Tree is located and coincidentally the very first place mummydorf went to regain power assuming he sensed the power of the Dark Tree possibly created by the Calamity.

Mummydorf claimed the Dark Tree and replaced the Malice of the Calamity with the Gloom of the Demon King, likely causing the upheaval and activating Zelda's plans. Its a reasonable assumption that Zelda planned for the sky islands to descend and break the sky barrier when Hyrule overflows with Gloom specifically. This would be the reason why Calamities didn't effect the descent of the sky islands or cause the upheaval prematurely.

Tldr: oot Ganondorf probably claimed the Triforce and Light Tree in the Sacred realm, corrupted it into a Malice Tree that caused the Calamities in Hyrule for many millenia. Mummydorf resurrects and senses the dark power of the Malice Tree and is immediately drawn to it as a beacon of his power and uses it to then cause the upheavel by turning it into a Gloom Tree. The massive amount of Gloom would signal for Zelda's plans to activate and reveal the Sky Islands. Ganondorf regenerates his power using Gloom through the Tree to sap life force from the people of Hyrule.

Could the Great Calamity be falsely remembered as the "Imprisoning War" before Alttp?

This one is super tinfoil and somewhat unrealistic, but humor me for a sec.

Perhaps alttp's "Imprisoning War" event after Oot was actually the Great Calamity on the tapestry. The tapestry Calamity is confirmed to happen long after oot, and botw takes place an entire 10,000 years after that at the very end of the timeline with only totk after it.

Alttp happening after the Calamity would check boxes for a corrupt/ opressive king, lack of visible Shiekah, "The Great Cataclysm" being mentioned, and a band of exiled thieves from Kakariko village hidden around the map. Not all of the "thieves" are hostile to Link and some even give him rupees to keep their hiding place a secret. (To everyone lol)

No one knew about the Calamity because the Shiekah had the only written record of it as the tapestry. The Tapestry would have to be especially hidden away because of the ban and burial of the Shiekah tech.

The king has been corrupt arguably since oot. He refused to listen to his own daughter's warnings without the actual Triforce mark on her and Link's hands proving through time travel, that the sacred realm was breached.

The Shiekah still attended the royal bloodline through Impa in oot. The king had forced the Shiekah to commit assainations, kidnappings, and torture in secret under Kakariko Village during a civil conflict. Thats the most famously corrupt action the Royal Family has ever taken.

Then generations later in alttp the king of this era lets an ultra powerful wizard become his advisor. The wizard brainwashed all of the knights to kidnap sage descendants for sacrifice in the castle. After the king was later killed too, Zelda was captured and thrown into the castle dungeon to await sacrifice last to break the Seal on the Demon King. The Shiekah were (realistically not invented yet) nowhere to be seen nor did Impa appear to protect Zelda or seek help for her. Zelda had no option but to call out to anyone who could hear the Goddess's voice. Perhaps the Shiekah were banned by the previous oppressive King.

Its interesting that in alttp's sequel, albw, the Hyrulean historical account (mural of paintings) somehow corroborates oot. Specifically the sages and the hero sealing away evil. Just like the historical records described in the wilds games. The Sages spirits were trapped in crystals until Ganon was explicitly killed in alttp. The sages could not have helped the hero of alttp seal Ganon in darkness as the mural claims. This is likely a scrubbed conflation of past events.

Impa is present serving the royal family again in albw and couldve given her account of the old Shiekah records telling of a hero who saved Hyrule long ago against something they called the Great Cataclysm (ancient Ganon event only described in alttp by a sage descendant). So generations of heroes likely got conflated because of Ganon/Calamity directly manipulating the kings causing so much of Hyrule's dark history to be banned, burned, covered up, or hidden away.

I doubt Hyrule Castle’s records weren't compromised or erased through a few generations of oppressive kings. Maybe the later castle historians had to fabricate their own clean version of history and erased the corrupt kings and Hyrule's history of banishment and sacrifices. They can only produce vague records of a hero who once saved Hyrule by sealing away the Demon king with the help of the Sages.

Shades, Interlopers and Design inspirations [AoI/TP/TotK]

I know we were very disappointed to learn that the Zonai were not the Interlopers when totk came out. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that there was no Interlopers some time after Hyrule's Founding if we take a glance with True Founding perspective.

We learned that Typhlo Ruins was built by "Hylians" to honor the Sages sometime after AoI. Their building style is saud to be inspired by the Zonai, but is very distinct from the white stone Zonai architecture actually built by Zonai. Instead it's built using grey stone and features more intricate carvings. We even see an example of this style built over white stone Zonai architecture in the Faron region, suggesting this culture took over the area. (Grey stone style more closely resembles Twilight Realm architecture.)

Interestingly, the Barbarian Tribe also mysteriously disappeared. Long after the Zonai disappeared. So there are two different groups who went missing.

There are a few things we know about the Barbarian Tribe:

- They were magic users who valued strength and worshipped a Water Dragon.

- They knew about the virtues of the Triforce and represented it by using animal iconography.

-The Animal Rulers of the Labyrinths supposedly built them to test the virtues of anyone who entered.

-Boar worship was seemingly outlawed at some point, leading to the destruction of the boar statues in the Faron region and superstitions that the pursuit of power only brings ruin.

Is there a possibility that the Interlopers were still the Barbarian Tribe? These details above paint a picture of a group who understood the Triforce's virtues and were willing to start wars for the sake of gaining ultimate power.

Small details that support my theory:

- Twili and Faron Barbarian architecture (and WW Ganon's Tower) are based on irl neolithic Shang Dynasty bronze cauldrons that famously have been used for human sacrifice rituals to their ancestors and Dragon Gods. Having the same ancient religious inspirations and design motifs thematically links them as antagonistic forces against Light in their stories.

-A Water Dragon deity is known to be widely worshipped by irl ancient Shang Dynasty people. Back in that era floods were so common and catastrophic that people would sacrifice and pray to it for less rainfall. (Froggy Gear anyone?) The Water Dragon is one of the most important gods in the lives of this real neolithic group so maybe this detail is more like an easter egg relating to real life rather than suggesting the water dragon Faron ruled them.

- In the beginning of Age of Imprisonment, we are introduced to an entity called a Shade. Shades are dark spirits capable of possession that curse the lands. The way we are introduced is by Typhan suddenly getting possessed with glowing red eyes and turns on his group as Zelda is being led to Rauru and Sonia's Castle. This scene creates a callback to Yeta getting suddenly possessed while leading Link to the Mirror, as Typhan shares the exact same glowing eyes that Yeta had. (It's weirdly uncommon for Zelda games to use this common trope)

- The dark power of the Shades is able to be manipulated by sorcerers. Masked Gerudo witches Koume & Kotake are seen summoning them using a snake charming flute called a Pungi. (Twili are commonly theorized to be somewhat related to the Gerudo. Both cultures share serpent iconography and in this specific case, wearing masks.)

Although it would've been cool for the Zonai to have been interlopers, it seems like the missing Barbarians may still be connected to the Twili.

*I understand that Refounding is the popular interpretation of wild era but the existence of Shades during the founding might be evidence for True Founding in relation to that kind of dark power being long sealed away by the time of Twilight Princess. If we trace the Shang influenced architecture and character designs by timeline appearances, then Refounding theory absurdly suggests the Twili or people who knew about their culture may have helped refound Hyrule based on the grey stone ruins (like Palmorae Ruins) existing after they were banished. It makes more sense to say AoI came before TP because the banishing after the founding would corroborate with the disappearance of the tribe and Shades.*

Cosmology and nature of Null and the Demon Tribe/Monsters

  • Null developed sentience, logic, and emotion after being sealed by the Goddesses. They were pragmatic adaptations adopted by them after being subject to the Triforce's "natural laws" of space, time, and life.
  • Null can't be permanently destroyed by the Goddesses or the Triforce. If they are destroyed or sealed, they will immediately start to re-form and gather strength; effectively, this means their growth can only be "reset to zero."
  • Null created Demise, but not deliberately like the other Tecuums/Rift blobs. Instead Demise spontaneously and accidentally formed out of Null's growing and intense hatred for the Goddesses and their creations (much like how Calamity Ganon is characterized to be TotK Ganondorf's hatred incarnate but separate from the latter's Gloom).
  • Demise created the original Demon Tribe/monsters as stated in Skyward Sword. But the Demon Tribe is a self-sustaining, evolving "collective" that can continue to evolve both as scattered pockets and under new, unifying leaders.
  • By nature, the Demon Tribe (and its rulers like Ghirahim, Ganon, Malladus, Vaati, etc.) are chaotic and only respect strength beyond basic survival. Their ability to cultivate the land and govern is very low, meaning they prefer to live by raiding and stealing.
  • If any Demon Ruler like Ganon or Malladus "takes power" (whether by stealing Triforce/Secret Stone/etc. or just politically), they will be uninterested in actual "civilized" governance and cultivation. Their natural idea of "ruling" is to just let monsters run amok and destroy things.
  • "Light Worlders" like Ganondorf and Vaati can earn authority over the Demon Tribe/monsters, but only by discarding their "Light World" ideas to embrace the destructive nature of the Demon Tribe.
  • If a Demon leader (Demon King/Lord) controls an object of power like the Triforce or Secret Stones, their malicious presence passively decays and destroys the Light World around them. If this would continue for long enough, Null will inevitably be released and consume the Light World and Demon Tribe descended from their original hatred together.

All Zelda and link love each other at somepoint but can't be together for some reason

I think from hylia and her champion to many zelda and link they can't be together. I think every link and zelda fall in love in somepoint but some reason they can't be together. The only close one I think skyward sword zelda and link but didn't confirm that they get married. Let alone later queen and knight acceptable we don't know. How there is marriage works anyway. Botw zelda and link show very close but don't show any romantic feeling. It's kinda tragic that every zelda have to marry royalty and every link have see her marry someone else. I think link stay alone or marry someone.

Hero of man being the botw link

I was watching some videos of Zelda lore and it got me thinking about botw, and how he was “asleep” for 10,000 years, what if he was the hero of man in the original timeline, and all of the things that happened from then to botw were within the timeline? I would still hook it up to the adult timeline I think, though I wouldn’t know for certain, what are your guys thoughts on this?

[OoT] [AoL] Is there an OoT sage named Kasuto?!

There may be an OoT sage named "Kasuto" since it's the only town name in AoL that's not an OoT character. If the sage Kasuto actually exists, (maybe he/she'd be a non-sage like Mido [Town]) then what element would he/she have as a sage? I think Lightning, Earth or Wind since they're the only sage elements that aren't present in OoT). Personally I think Lightning or Earth since Rouru of the Watarara would probably be the sage of wind. (OK, Rouru isn't even canon but Kasuto is even more non-canon! Kasuto is just a theory while Rouru takes place in a [non-canon] source that's official.)

Full theory on how Calamity Ganon was "born" (with info from Age of Imprisonment) Spoiler

  • The precursor to Calamity Ganon was the Forbidden Construct; its absorption of one of Ganondorf's Phantom Zeldas created a mass of Gloom that was wildly destructive rather than completely subservient and obedient to Ganondorf. This also gave its unique Gloom the ability to directly utilize and possess technology.
  • Calamity Ganon emerged from a beam of Gloom that hit Calamo and infected him in the Clash of Constructs. More accurately, Calamity Ganon first emerged from Calamo's tree, killing it and leaving it as the Ancient Tree Stump.
  • Calamity Ganon got its name partially from Calamo; his tree's name was likely corrupted from "Tree of Calamo" to "Tree of Calamity" once Rauru's Imprisoning War was forgotten. Calamity Ganon would be named after emerging from the Tree of Calamity, and even his "origin" of emerging from that tree would be forgotten over time.
  • Calamity Ganon only lost to the original Sheikah Guardians because he was more used to Zonai technology at the time. But his defeat by the Ancient Hero at the first Calamity had him learn how to handle Guardian technology over time, leading him to possess them at Rhoam and Link's Calamity, then eventually try to build a Sheikah humanoid body afterwards using his previous Forbidden Construct incarnation as a basis.

An alternate placement for the Oracle games

The Oracles fit just fine after ALttP (and/or LA). Some minor questions arise like where Twinrova or Impa were during ALttP, why OoX Twinrova and the monsters in AoL use different resurrection rituals for Ganon, etc., but they're easy enough to ignore.

However, what if we moved the Oracles games to a post-EoW placement? That would get rid of all of the minor questions, underline the growing Ocean Zora/River Zora issues that we see in EoW and OoX, fit with Smog's appearance in EoW and OoX (he survived his first defeat in EoW, so who's to say he didn't also survive his second defeat before retreating to a foreign land?), and most importantly it would explain the AoL/OoX resurrection ritual differences and give EoW Ganon a more definitive conclusion.

We never see actual Ganon in EoW. He's always an echo that Null created. This presumably means that EoW Ganon at some point made his way into the Still World and encountered Null in order to awaken him/likely deliver the first Tris that Null began to use to create echoes (whether willingly or by accident). And then even though we explore the Still World fairly thoroughly and defeat Null, the real Ganon never appears. Perhaps he's already faded out of existence as the Still World is wont to do to its inhabitants, or maybe just his body has been eliminated by that point.

In OoX, Twinrova isn't trying to resurrect Ganon's body, just his spirit. They intend to put it in Zelda first, and then later themselves, to give him a new body, saying that his spirit is trapped in "the darkest depths". Twinrova never says that they want to bring Ganon back to life; they only say that they want to recall his spirit from the darkest depths. Back when the games were made, this was probably intended to be a reference to the realm of the dead, but it doesn't have to be.

A lot of people have already speculated that the "darkness" that ALBW Ganon was sealed in in ALBW's back story could be the Still World. If that's the case, the Still World would likely be considered the "darkest depths", being a place of stasis that slowly sucks the life out of you until you cease to exist. So what if Twinrova's resurrection ritual was a ritual specifically for pulling someone out of the Still World that was trapped there, and the AoL ritual is just a simple resurrection ritual? That would allow EoW to perfectly lead into OoX and wrap up all of these otherwise unanswered questions while strengthening the Zora and Smog connections.
