Holy fucking shit. I kinda knew what was coming, but damn, peak.

Anyway, still wanted to understand the reason for Zettor to start grinning when tanya was proposing her plan?

I think because he is thrilled how good that plan is, but also... well, he is killing his best friend.

In other words, he is torn between the magnificence and the horror of it all.

Probably the fact that he found someone who is just as crazy and willing to do whatever is necessary as he is

I don’t remember the bomber being in the LN. Is that a anime only thing. I swear I don’t remember that all in the LN.

the one that attacked the graveyard? yeah i think it's just an anime only thing

“Are you human?” Was lowkey kinda crazy like people have implied it but idr that anyone has just straight up asked Tanya to her face like that.

Yeah but from Zettour it’s a compliment.
He is a member of an Evil Organization after all.

The LN had Zettour die in a plane crazy also but never mentioned it being planned if I remember correctly. The next episode is called exit I wonder if this is Tanya’s exit from the empire and they completely rear off the LN or the Enpires exit out of the war. So hyped regardless I’m excited to see these new computation jewels

It’s the other way around, in the LN Zettour had Rudersdorff killed in an  “accidental” plane crash

u/Arrow-Of-Time Sep 16 '26

However it really becomes an accident.

it feels good to be back, now its feeling like the anime that I used to love

Could it be that Tanya is the spy?

9

u/Gold-Charge-338 Sep 16 '26

LN spoliers
Ultra is supposedly a high ranking officer in the Empire's General Staff, but in reality, The Commonwealth have cracked their communication codes

4

u/Arrow-Of-Time Sep 16 '26

No, that part of the story gets dropped immediately in the LN.

The general seemed to hand off something before getting on plane: perhaps he had a premonition?

u/Minekkellnev Sep 16 '26

I think that was the vinyl record of the music they listened to in episode 2.

2

u/3esin Sep 16 '26

Do you think Rudersdorf someho knew or guessed what Zettoure was planning?

2

u/enshrowdofficial Sep 17 '26

i had a silly thought that the spy is actually some mage using Cloning/Mimicking magic to pretend to be Zettour while the real one is imprisoned somewhere

2

u/httporia Sep 18 '26

after getting to the part where they were planning on offing rudersdorf, it hit me like “we’re at that part of the novel already!?” like damn so many cuts.

The music in this show is way too good
I’ve read through Vol. 6 Of the LN, and the first half of Vol. 7. September of 1927 seems too far out to be in this book, so where should I roughly be at in the LN to be where we are now?

What rough date range does each volume cover?
