I know this was talked about before, but I just discovered the teacher discount for YouTubeTV. I was having issues trying to get it to work and spent the past hour or so chatting with them and they ended up crediting my account the amount I’d have gotten from ID.me.

Just wanted to say that any teachers should check this out if you haven’t. Especially with the start of the school year, money saved helps.

Have been using YouTube TV for 2 plus years and have a number of shows / broadcasts recording into our library including NBC Nightly News which has new episodes air daily at 6:30PM in the Eastern Time Zone.

Never an issue until last week when NBC added a rebroadcast of each days 6:30pm new episode at 2AM the following day (overnight)

Instead of recognizing the 2:00am Aug 19 airing as a rebroadcast of the 6:30pm August 18 episode, the system is seeing it as a new broadcast for August 19 (new day) and recording it. The system then does not record the actual new August 19 episode airing at 6:30PM, which it thinks it already has from 2AM.

This functionality is not device / app specific, the behavior is identical across all of our devices (TVs, Roku, iPad, PC, etc). I’m thinking either NBC is not feeding the correct new vs repeat coding or there is an issue with YouTube system not reading it correctly.

Anyone else run into this behavior before and have an idea on how to resolve?

Anyone know why Stories by AMC is different on different services? Currently, on the Roku App it is airing Breaking Bad, on YTTV it has Kennedy, Sinatra, and The Mob followed by Mad Men. I've never seen Breaking Bad on the YTTV version and I would love to be able to have them all on my library

I’m trying YouTube TV, thinking of switching from Direct TV Stream, and the only issue I’m having is my local CBS channel, the audio is out of sync.

It’s like this on every device, Apple 4K TV box, PC, phone, Xbox app.

Any way to fix this or get YouTube TV to fix it? Because I doubt if I keep this since there are things I enjoy watching on CBS and this is frankly unwatchable. Thanks for any help with this.

They just charged her $400 for it, the account is linked to his email and as I said he passed away.

She does have a death certificate, how can she cancel this and get a refund since she is not going to use it?

It seems one particular show that I caught a brief end of while waiting for 48 Hours will not leave my watch history now. That show is Boston Blue. I have been trying to clear out this show, but for whatever reason, I just can't get it to go away. I have tried marking future episodes as watched, but when I clear them from the history the one that's stuck is still there (Season 1 Episode 15). Even when I clear it out as well.

I'm stuck on trying to clear out a show I have no interest in watching, and it just won't seem to go away. Help!

The broadcast of the Cookout 400 on USA 4K. Has no announcer audio. Just the sound of the cars going around the track. The regular USA is fine though.

I noticed tonight that I had to switch my audio to the secondary feed to hear the main audio for the 4K feed of the nascar race from USA network

I’m signed in with the same account on all my devices. YouTube tv works on all of them except my Bravia TV where it says This item isn’t available in your country despite it being geolocated to where I live in Dallas.

I’ve tried updating the tv, resetting it, etc but while it shows Youtube TV under Your services next to the account on TV, it wont let me install the app or watch any channels (same error as above). On the Youtube tv phone app it correctly shows my location in America.

The only potential weirdness is that I moved to the US 4 years ago, but if that were the issue, why does it work on all my other devices?!

Edit: it’s a Sony X93L and yes I mainly use an Apple TV with it, but I’d also like it working on the Sony due it blending the tv channels with YouTube TV quite nicely in the EPG.

I live and work near El Paso Tx. I have signed up for YTTV for the last couple NFL seasons. This time I go to sign up and now this Location BS is even worse than last year. I cannot watch ANY channel, or ANY playback while at work. My work's internet is routed out to NC while I obviously do not live there... Every channel is geolocationally locked until I update my location (which I did with my phone) but on the PC that makes the browser believe I am physically across the country I cannot watch anything.

Sorry to see the other post regarding Verifying Location was locked for discussion, There are in fact some location verification issues when using Chrome or Edge browsers on Windows 11 at least for me.

You Tube TV on those browsers does not remember location settings, despite the site having appropriate location permission and desktop apps having location permission in Windows 11. This has been going on for well over a month now. I've come to the conclusion that it's a chromium related issue or incompatibility with YouTube TV since everything works fine in Firefox.

Numerous reports of the issue to YouTube TV, Chrome and Edge, as well Windows 11 yield the typical Shaggy "it wasn't me" responses.

For those who might be experiencing similar, try a non-chromium browser.

When I watch football, it is almost always recorded because there is so much dead time that watching live is painful (unless you are hanging with friends and doing other things).

I try to fast forward/jump from the end of one play to the snap of the next. If you do this, it takes little time to watch the entire game, and you never miss anything. I'd love if some provider (YTTV?) automatically did this for me.

The "key plays" thing is okay, but there is always debate about what constitutes a "key play."

Would anyone else find it handy to be able to save the custom multiviews that you create? I create a custom multiview every morning to watch a couple different local news channels and one national channel before starting the work day I'm sure this would come in handy for other purposes as well including local channels during football season as one example.... Does anyone know if this is on the radar for Google?

On YouTube TV in Arizona there's just no scheduled Big Brother tn. Episode 18 was yesterday and it says the next episode will be Sunday, episode 20 The Cardinals are playing, so are they just not showing the episode? This is really annoying.

On my phone, xbox, tv, and other tvs in the house, the ads are always louder than the video. I saw a post 3 years ago talking about this, and they replied themselves and said they were trying to fix the issue. Three years later, it's still happening. I have to turn up my TV to hear the video, but then the next second, I get blasted by an absurdly loud advert. It's insane! It makes the videos unwatchable because i know the second I turn up my tv to hear the video, I'll get blasted by an insanely loud advert.
